Duggar-Sized Feast

During this week's episode of Counting On, Jana Duggar, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, Jinger Duggar, and Joy Duggar pick up ingredients at Harps Foods for Jessa's fall feast. On the day of the feast, Jessa scrambles to put the turkeys in the oven before her sisters arrive to help her prepare the rest of the meal.

Jessa admits that she rarely cooked when she lived at home. "Jill and Jana were so good at it, and it was so easy for them," says the new mom. Now that she's married, she cooks a full meal a couple times a month. The rest of the time, she and Ben, who are focusing on saving money, snack on foods such as yogurt and eggs.

Take a look at the videos below, and click here to read our recap of the show. (Hey, that rhymes!)

Amy: 'I hope [Josh] gets the help he needs'

If you have been keeping up with our blog, you know that 2015 was a difficult year for the Duggar family. Amy (Duggar) King--niece of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar--shares her thoughts on her new website.

The Duggar cousin was at a wedding dress fitting when the news of Josh Duggar's pornography addiction and marital unfaithfulness broke. "I was completely shocked just like the rest of the world," she writes in her post. "Rage came over me, sadness crept in, and reality [set] in that the person I had known my entire life turned out to be a fraud and a complete stranger."

Less than three weeks after Josh confessed to being "the biggest hypocrite ever," Amy married Dillon King. Josh had already checked himself into a long-term care facility, but the rest of the Duggar family attended the wedding.

Amy was touched to see Anna at the event. "I gave her a huge hug right before I walked down the aisle, prayed with her, and left her and my Aunt Michelle a letter on their chairs," shares the Duggar cousin.

"I hope [Josh] gets the help he needs," Amy told PEOPLE

The months that followed brought much-needed relaxation for Amy and her new husband, until she received heartbreaking news via a Christmas text from her father. As we shared last week, Amy's father has filed for a divorce from Amy's mother (Jim Bob's sister, Deanna).

Despite the trials that she and her family have faced in 2015, Amy (Duggar) King has determined to "shine for Jesus" in the coming year, putting emphasis on prayer, forgiveness, and acts of service.

"...It broke my heart," Joseph says on finding out that his brother Josh Duggar had been living a secret life.

"It is a big weight upon me now," shares John-David. "I know that...I've got a whole bunch of younger siblings looking up to me, and I've gotta be an example to them..."

More from Jessa & Ben

As we announced this morning, the three Seewalds will grace this week's cover of PEOPLE Magazine, available on newsstands Friday.

Despite the trials that the former stars of 19 Kids and Counting have endured over the past six months and the inaccurate and hateful stories that the media has written about the family, Jessa tells PEOPLE that she and Ben "know who [they] are and find joy and satisfaction in God."

Dillard Update

Jill Dillard is still recovering from the birth of Israel David Dillard. Her husband has been very supportive, and the rest of the Duggars and Dillards having been pitching in, as well.

"We are so blessed to have such a great family and such great support here at the hospital with the doctors and the nursing staff," Jill told PEOPLE."My sisters and my mom and Derick's mom have all been in to help!"

Derick had to leave his wife's side to have braces put on at an orthodontist, so Michelle Duggar stepped in and spent time with her daughter and new grandson. Joy-Anna kept Jill company in the hospital overnight one day this week.

According to Jill, Derick is "doing amazing at being a dad."

29 Duggars And Counting

Josh and Anna Duggar announced the gender of their fourth child this morning. (Click here to find out if they are having a boy or a girl.) In a recent PEOPLE article, the couple opened up about their growing family.

At 21 weeks pregnant, Anna's morning sickness has begun to subside. She and Josh are still in the process of choosing a name and plan to announce it soon.

While Josh and Anna are leaving the size of their family up to God, they did the math and determined that the chances of them having 20 kids are very unlikely. The couple has considered adoption and may choose to go down that path in the future.

Josh says he believes children are one of life's greatest joys.

"You can have a career and be famous and have lots of money, but that will fade," says the oldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's 19 kids. "Children will be there. When we were young, we would visit nursing homes with my family, and when I talked to people there, the number one joy they wanted to share was their children and family. And those who didn't have children expressed the greatest regret. We want to be the best parents we can be."

Will baby #4 be delivered at home? Josh and Anna are working with a group of DC midwives, and as long as no complications arise, they hope to deliver at home or at the midwives' birthing center.

Five-year-old Mackynzie Duggar is especially thrilled at the idea of having a sister.

"Mackynzie made a recording saying, 'Hi, little sister, it is so great to meet you, you are already my best friend,' " says Anna.

After this baby arrives, there will be a whopping 29 people on Jim Bob and Michelle's family tree. (2 parents + 19 kids + 3 in-laws + 5 grandkids)

4. The Dillards are prepared with a birthing tub, a bassinet, a crib, and gifts received from family, friends, and fans.

Jessa and Ben on Adoption

In a recent interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Jessa and Ben Seewald revealed that they hope to adopt "a lot of kids."

"If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it's not going to quench our desire to adopt," said Jessa.

Have Jessa and Ben started the adoption process? They couple says they are still doing research.

The Seewalds also discussed how they handle arguments, telling PEOPLE that they try not to raise their voices to each other.

"If we have a hard time and we talk about it, you just love each other so much more afterwards," Jessa shared. "After a disagreement, I often feel, 'I have never loved you more than I love you now.'"

To hear more about Jessa and Ben's life as newlyweds, watch the following video. Mr. and Mrs. Seewald are also on the front cover of this week's edition of PEOPLE, available wherever magazines are sold.

Huckabee for President? Duggars Say YES

When Governor Mike Huckabee ended his show on the Fox News Channel on January 3rd, the Duggars were thrilled to hear that he is seriously considering running for president in 2016.

The Duggars met Mike Huckabee while Jim Bob was serving in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. Jim Bob and Michelle were interviewed on Huckabee's show in 2013.

Not only do the Duggars support Huckabee, but Huckabee supports the Duggars.

"I've pointed them out as an example of something that's wholesome and wonderful, and I've known them since Jim Bob was in the legislature when I was governor," Huckabee told PEOPLE.

The Duggars eagerly await Huckabee's announcement, which will be made sometime this spring, on whether he will run in the next presidential election.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their children campaigned for Huckabee during the 2008 presidential election. "Should I run, I'm hoping they'll do it again," Huckabee told PEOPLE. "And now there's more of 'em!"

"If I can get 'em registered in each of the states, I'm going to win just by virtue of their votes!" joked Huckabee.

Josie Duggar Update

On December 10th, Josie Duggar celebrated her 5th birthday. If you have been following the Duggars since 2009, you know Josie was born via emergency C-section, weighing only 1 pound 6 ounces.
Josie Duggar soon after her birth in December 2009

"She was pretty fragile there for the first six months, and even the first couple years," Jim Bob Duggar told PEOPLE. "But she's gotten stronger and stronger, and it's hard to hold her down now! We are thrilled with her progress and so thankful to God that she is alive and doing so well."

When Josie was born at 25 weeks gestation on December 10th, 2009, at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the Duggars relocated to Little Rock to keep their family together as they gave their 19th child the attention she needed. They rented the historical Cornish House. (Click here to read a post from five years ago about the Cornish House.)

Is John in a Courtship?

The media sure loves the Duggars...especially the gossip sites! Rumor has it that John-David Duggar is in a courtship.

This afternoon, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar released a statement to put that rumor to rest:

John is not courting and not in a relationship...and he has never been in one! Just thought we'd set that straight. He's still waiting for the right one at the right time.

Dillards Make Divorce More Difficult

Tune in to TLC tonight at 8:00pm ET PT/7:00pm CT for a two-hour special of 19 Kids and Counting, featuring the wedding of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard. Here are a few tidbits of information that might interest you:

1. Jill and Derick chose to enter a Covenant Marriage, an option offered to couples in Arkansas, Arizona, and Louisiana. Couples that sign a Covenant Marriage License must seek counseling prior to marriage. Should they experience marital problems, they must seek counseling and engage in a longer period of separation before a divorce can be granted.

"I signed their covenant marriage certificate," Derick's mom, Cathy Byrum, 57, told PEOPLE after Jill and Derick's wedding. "It was so special. But it wouldn't matter if they chose that type of marriage certificate or not, those two would still have a covenant marriage."

2. Stephen Jones--Derick's former college roommate and a groomsman in the wedding--approved of Jill and Derick's first kiss, which took place at the altar.

"It looked like he had been thinking about that first kiss and how he was going to do it for quite some time," Jones, 25, told PEOPLE. "He dipped her pretty smoothly, I thought. And he was able to connect on the lips – that's what we are looking for."

3. Tonight's wedding episode is sure to include plenty of surprises.

Baby Dilly Details...It's a Boy

In five months, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will have four grandchildren, three grandsons and one granddaughter. The family announced today that Jill Dillard is expecting a boy.

"I was really excited," Derick Dillard told PEOPLE. "As a new dad, to have a firstborn son to be our first child and be the leader of his siblings, it is very special."

Before her ultrasound appointment last Saturday, Jill indulged in a sugary breakfast of waffles with syrup and whipped cream, fruit, chocolate milk, and lemonade. She wanted to make sure Baby Dilly would be active for his big debut.

"He stretched out his legs full length," said Jill. "He was trying to be like Dad."

Jill and Derick brought three Duggars--Joy-Anna, James, and Jennifer--with them to the appointment. Jill said there was "screaming in the room" when the gender was revealed.

Jill had predicted that Baby Dilly would be a girl, but both she and Derick agreed that, boy or girl, all they wanted was a healthy baby.

Both the Duggars and Dillards were thrilled to hear the news.

"We could have a giant," said Jill. "I called Derick's mom, and she was telling me that when Derick was born, he didn't fit into the newborn clothes, and his shoes were a size two."

According to Jill, her parents were "just elated."

"My mom and dad both thought it was going to be a boy and my grandma did, too," said the expectant mother. "They are all really excited,"

Jill and Derick don't plan on following a letter theme for their children's names, but they might choose a different theme, such as family names.
