Wedding Planning with Jana Duggar

Jana Duggar, now Jana Wissmann, has been married for almost three months. As most of you know, she left her home in Arkansas for a new life in Nebraska, where she lives with her husband, Stephen Wissmann. Jana just uploaded a new video that features wedding planning, her final weeks at home on the Duggar "farm," wedding dress alterations, and more renovations on her Nebraska fixer upper.

Twin Babymoon

You've probably heard that Jed and Katey Duggar, parents of two-and-a-half-year-old Truett Duggar and one-and-a-half-year-old Nora Duggar, are expecting twin girls. Katey is in her third trimester, which means the babies will arrive in three months or less. Jed and Katey recently took a babymoon trip to Cancun and documented it on their YouTube channel.

More On Jason Duggar's Wedding

It has been almost one month since Jason and Maddie Duggar tied the knot in a beautiful, East Tennessee ceremony. Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo attended the wedding all the way from Los Angeles. They discuss the event in detail in the latest episode of their podcast. They also have an additional YouTube video that features footage of the wedding. Their conversation includes talk about the dance that Jason and Maddie had, which was a first for a Duggar.

Renovating Jana's Kitchen

Jana loves renovations and says she is in her element when she is doing design projects. She and Stephen are married now, but she just posted a video showing footage of the two of them working on their fixer upper house, with some help from family members.

Joy and Austin on a Podcast

Joy and Austin Forsyth haven't published a video to YouTube in three months, but they were recently guests on The Unplanned Podcast with Matt and Abby Howard (video link below). This is a podcast that both Jill and Derick Dillard and Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo have been guests on in the past. The conversation between the Howards and the Forsyths lasts more than one hour and covers a variety of topics. 

Joy and Austin share new details about their childhood friendship and courtship, and Austin gives insight into how he approached their relationship. Joy talks about her battle with postpartum depression and how Jinger book's impacted her. Joy and Austin also boast on Michelle and how humble and kind she is and helpful to her children and grandchildren. "She's very selfless," says Austin. "She's always looking for areas to serve others."

Fixing Up Jana's House

Jana Duggar has used her home renovation skills to help her family for many years, so it is no surprise that the Duggars have been eager to help her fix up her new home in Nebraska. In case you missed it, Jana married Stephen Wissmann on August 15th. Over the 4th of July holiday, Stephen's family and friends threw Jana a bridal shower in Nebraska, and mama Michelle Duggar traveled from Arkansas to be there. While in town, she and Jana and a few of the Duggar brothers worked at the house (YouTube video link below).

Jana Duggar, now Jana Wissmann, has started sharing wedding planning and house renovations on YouTube. Accompanied by sisters Jessa Seewald and Joy Forsyth and sister-in-law Abbie Duggar, she chose her venue and her dress. What do you think of her choices?

Jana Surprises Stephen

Now that Jana Duggar is Mrs. Stephen Wissmann, let's look back at the couple's relationship. After dating for a short time a few years ago, Jana and Stephen went their separate ways. They each continued to live where they grew up, close to their (much larger than average) families. According to People Magazine, Jana started nursing school last year. 

Then in early 2024, Stephen reached back out to Jana in the form of a handwritten letter. They rekindled their friendship, and Jana says she quickly fell in love with him. The engagement followed on June 15th, and the wedding took place exactly two months later at a beautiful venue (The Grand at Willow Springs) near her family's Northwest Arkansas home. The couple will start their new live together in Nebraska.

Jana just uploaded a video to YouTube that shows her making a surprise visit to Stephen while they were dating. Johannah Duggar, 18, and Jennifer Duggar, 16, went along to chaperone and help their sister drive through the night.

Jana Duggar is Married!

Good evening, blog readers! We bring you a very exciting announcement. Jana Duggar is married! She and Stephen Wissmann became husband and wife today, August 15th, in front of 500 guests. People Magazine has all the details and a collection of beautiful photos. 

The article also shares an abbreviated version of Jana and Stephen's love story. As many of you know, the Duggar and Wissmann families have known each other for well over a decade, and Jeremiah Duggar is married to Hannah Wissmann. Jana and Stephen dated briefly a few years ago but broke it off, remaining friends until they reconnected earlier this year. Jana reveals that it was difficult watching ten of her younger siblings tie the knot while she waited for her prince charming, but she says that her faith has remained strong. 

On a more bittersweet note, Jana's marriage means that she will be leaving Arkansas. She will move to Nebraska to live with Stephen.

Fun fact: Today is Michael (Bates) Keilen's nine-year wedding anniversary. Jana was in Michael's wedding, as the two are childhood friends.

Jinger on Life with 18 Siblings

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo sat down for a third episode of The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast. In this segment, Jeremy interviews Jinger about her busy but exciting childhood as the sixth-born of nineteen children. If you were a fan of 19 Kids and Counting, you might know the answers to some of his questions.

Vuolos Make Two Big Announcements

Almost two years ago, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo announced that they had purchased a house after renting in Los Angeles for three years. Some readers have guessed that the Vuolos recently moved again, and they are correct. Jinger, Jeremy, Felicity, and Evangeline still live in the same city, but they moved into a new house. It is a bit of a fixer-upper (Jinger is a Duggar, after all).

So that is the first big announcement. The second is that they are relaunching their podcast. We posted about their first podcast, "The Hope We Hold," in June 2020. It ran through December 2020. Evangeline was born in November, so they decided that they needed a break. Now three and a half years later, they are jumping back on the airwaves. This podcast is called "The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast," and the first episode is now available on YouTube or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Vuolos on Duggar Family Relationships

Have you heard the news about Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo's new book? She and Jeremy recently joined Matt and Abby Howard on their podcast, The Unplanned Podcast. For 90 minutes, they discuss a wide variety of topics, including how they live their lives differently than Jim Bob and Michelle and how they navigate making their own decisions while maintaining a good relationship with the Duggars. 

Jinger explains that she desires to preserve family relationships in order to have a positive influence on family members who are still following the IBLP teachings. The Vuolos also talk about their choice not to make money an issue while they were filming for Counting On. And Jeremy shares how he showed respect for Jim Bob and Michelle during his courtship with Jinger.

How do Jinger and Jeremy, who live in Los Angeles, stay in touch with the ever-growing Duggar clan? Jinger says that she talks to various family, including her mom, on a regular basis. There are a number of Duggar family group chats, including one with the sisters, one about working out, and one with the entire family.
