    4. So much hate in this world. Let the family be and they will sort out the pain. As someone that lived this life I understand where Jill is coming from my dad was very angry and he called me up recently and admitted he did wrong. I hope her and her parents can sort it out.

    5. 12:26. It sounds like you have a valid reason for pain and hurt..glad your dad admitted he was wrong. It appears from all verifiable point of views from all the other children and friends..that Jim Duggar is not an angry person and Jill has made it her life’s mission to convince everyone he us. That narrative she put forth in the book about her verbal fight she had with him ..and her perceived fear is an example of her poor emotional state…sounds like Jill was pushing her father to all the limits. I still feel ..like many others that Derrick was not helpful in defusing any of this.,almost like he wanted her to break away from the family.,sad.

  3. It's very disrespectful to show up at you're parents house and talk about them on a podcast. You should have never step foot in there home. Absolutely outrageous behavior. All this because of money. I don't blame certain family members who not talking to you. I wouldn't join you in your wrong.

    1. They have the right to see their siblings and honestly that house belongs to TLC

    2. If I was Jim Bob or Michelle I would pick up the phone and call both Jill and Jinger and have them put their husbands on the phone too and would tell them, "If you have anything to say about me and the way you were raised by ME then have the guts to come over my house and say it to my face instead of in books or podcasts or blogs and if that's a problem for you then we will come to your house and talk face to face". I bet they wouldn't be smiling like they are now if they had to say it to Jim Bob and Michelle's face. Its called accountability!!

    3. @11:09 If you read Jill's book, you'll see that there were many times she and Derick were in the presence of Jill's parents to discuss things, and it didn't go well. Jim Bob had the meltdown during one of those times, where he scared Jill. Also, he wouldn't come over and give the contract to Jill himself. Michelle had to do it, and at midnight on the deadline she and Jim had to deliver it. They certainly are in no position to call Jill and demand that the air gets cleared.

      Delete
    4. 11:09- From what Jill has said, they DID try to have conversations with her parents before writing the book.

    5. Ahh.. the girls just didn't like what was being told to them so they do podcasts to trash them. Got it

      Delete
    6. 12:12 What was "trash" was what was said to Jill. God forbid anyone ever emotionally abuses you. It doesn't sound like you'd understand.

      Delete
    7. So the alternative for the girls not getting the right response and their father getting upset over what they were saying was for them to write books for all the public to read about how they were "terrorized" and make some money off of the demise of their parents reputation. Let me guess, the books were written to "help" people. They were written to make money no matter who has to get hurt to get that money.

      Delete
    8. 2:52 Do you realize what a demand there was for Jill and Derick to write a book? People started asking for them to do that since they stopped being on the show. Yes, the books were written to help people. If you can claim your TV show is a ministry, then you can claim your books help people.

      Delete
    9. 10:50 I'm sure there are demands on all the Duggar kids to write a book but the difference between Jill and Jinger compared to the other Duggar kids is that the other kids have integrity and love and respect for their parents and family and choose to work and make money without trying to degrade their parents and family. The reason we know that Jill and Jinger wrote books just to get some money is that if it was really to "help" people then since they are online constantly they could have said everything a thousand times by now if helping people was what it was about. They don't respect their parents and family and they should be ashamed of themselves.

      Delete
    10. 10:05. The book Jill wrote doesn’t help anyone but herself..to make money. I agree with 8:19..Jill doesn’t respect her parents or family. I do feel that Jinger was motivated by her love of Jesus..and to try and distinguish the fear associated with legalism..and the freedom of salvation through grace.

  5. Well like expected the interview was talking about Duggar personal life. Derrick said he didn’t change a diaper until he was 26 but Jill was changing diapers at 6..so what..most little girls like to help mommy. At least Jill admitted her mom was nurturing and stayed up with sick kids at night. She mentioned her mom bringing a crock pot with them when they went to music lessons so they would have something to eat..sounds like a good mom to me..probably was friends with music teacher to be able to plug in crock pot Chilli at that home. Jill was complaining about not having AC for awhile in their big house and using the portable potty outside for a couple weeks..oh my goodness what a silly thing to talk about. The interview had no substance..and continues to show what shallow people they are.

    2. Jill and Derick turned into a bully. They continue to drag this unnecessary drama on and on to bash her family. I just don't understand if you don't want to speak with your parent's again why don't you keep there name out your mouth.

      Delete
    3. @8:08 Maybe because there is probably more going on behind the scenes. The parents have yet took any accountability.

      Delete
    4. 8:08 you are brave to make such a comment about Jill and Derrick turning into a bully but you are 100% right. I would suspect a good majority of the people on this Blog that supports the Duggars would agree with you..I definitely do.

      Delete
    5. 8:08 I think Jill needs to take responsibility..not her parents..her parents haven’t verified any of the things Jill is saying about them. As a parent you never expect your children to turn on you like Jill. I’m proud of the other siblings for their love and support for their parents.

    1. They should be ashamed of themselves. I can't believe how they get the husbands to join in this attack on how they were raised and the husbands are more then willing to do it. They need to grow up and stay off social media for awhile because it corrupted them making them desperate for attention and keeping them from living a productive life and a life of integrity. What a mess!!

      Delete
    2. 10:56. I think it’s important to separate Jill and Jinger’s motives. Jinger has been faithful in emphasizing the need to entangle from legalism and embrace the truths of the gospel. Jill’s motive stems from hate and a desire to discredit her parents. Jill has wedged herself into a box. Her parents would never sit down now and have therapy since they know anything said would come out to the public by Jill and give Derrick ammunition for a new book. It appears that Jinger has a loving relationship with her family, unlike Jill.

    2. I hope so too. The animosity they feel toward their parents is obstinate.. their mission they should obtain is the right to live their own life, raise their children as they see fit, and leave their parents alone.

      Delete
    3. I see absolutely nothing wrong with making your mission in life be telling the truth and exposing deceptive people. Holding people accountable for the wrongs they've done to others. Speaking out against things that are unfair and underhanded. This is exactly what Jesus taught.

      Delete
    4. Yes 8:04…they have chosen this continual path of animosity towards Jill’s parents and it will not lead to peace. It is so odd to continue to talk about your parents in such a disrespectful way. She got her money, book, interviews, attention ..so just let your parents have some peace and leave them alone.

  10. I don't understand how Jim Bob and Michelle can still afford the "big house" since doing shows is what paid for that house. Yes, he was in real estate before but he would of had that house or something like it built a long time ago if that was the case. However, I can see eventually once they have a empty nest, their best bet is to turn it into a bed & breakfast.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, because they won't just pass on the house to one of their kids. They'll ask for a outrageous price. But honestly, which kid would actually buy it with the bad memories associated with that place?

      Delete
    2. Don't worry about JB and Michelle. They're burning through all the money they made off their children to support their current lifestyle. No doubt they'll expect their children to support them in their old age.

    3. I would totally stay at the Duggar B&B haha

      Delete
    4. 8:27.. are you kidding?..they had plenty of investments and sources to pay for the house..TLC didn’t pay for it, they built it before TLC. Come on..let’s not believe everything Jill eludes to.

      Delete
    5. 5:19 Fact check. The house was started before TLC, but would never have been finished during the time frame it was if it hadn't been for TLC. The family has admitted (before Jill's book) that TLC came on board with professionals to get it done in time to film the moving in episode. Furnishings and pantry stock for that episode were donated. Some things were there for filming only but some were left for the family, for free. Also, there was a problem with the payment for the pouring of the foundation for that house that Jim Bob was dealing with for awhile, before TLC. Jill never mentioned that but it was public record in their county. I know you want to believe they did everything themselves, but that is simply not the case.

      Delete
    6. 5:19. You made a good point. As adults and parents they can use whatever resources they have to support their family, be it rental properties, investments and including the money made by any other way, such as the show. The fact is many know how generous and kind Jim and Michelle have been with the resources God has given them. They have been such a great encouragement to us all, especially during this trial of Jill’s attacks.

    2. Yes 3:38 I agree with you 100%. They are still in a bitter state and not able to appreciate and be thankful for God’s blessings. Jill has definitely been influenced by Derrick and this has allowed her to continue to talk about her family. Her behavior and random things she said about her family in this interview are not indicative of a loving daughter.

      Delete
    3. No, it's Jim Bob who needs to humble himself, admit he was wrong, and apologize. But that's not going to happen.

      Delete
    4. 3:38 Did you actually listen to the podcast? Once again, Derick and Jill are telling you what they experienced. They're not making things up for sensationalism. You can tell Jill was hurt by the way her father treated her. Jill got therapy. Did her father? (No.) Jill's "attitude" is sincerity. It's not the "hate" you say. Do you really expect someone who went through everything she did to forget all the bad parts and pretend they didn't happen? Life doesn't work that way.

      Delete
    5. 10:07 As a parent, you don't automatically get love from your children. You have to earn it. You have to act properly to get it. You can't do whatever you want to your children and then claim they're unloving and ungrateful.

      Delete
    6. 3:38 good point..but Jill and Derrick have no desire to forgive and move on. It’s
Possible that they will continue this parade of senseless interviews and Jill never really appreciate the love her parents gave her. As a parent I certainly would never trust Jill..I think she will continue to find fault in them.

      Delete
    7. 11:39 they did sit down with her parents. Read Jill's book.

    8. 11:39.. yeah I agree these interviews are going on and on. Talking about changing diapers and taking chilli to music practice is nothing stimulating..it’s like they are running out of things to gossip about her family..maybe gossiping about Derrick’s family will give them fresh material.

      Delete
    9. 11:39 Nobody needs parental "love" like the kind that Jim Bob gave Jill and Derick. Remember, he presented Jill with an itemized bill for raising her. Doesn't sound like love to me, parental, Christian, or any other kind.

      Delete
    10. 10:02. Let’s get real…jim and Michelle’s love was more than enough for 18 other children. Oh come on..Jill and her itemized bill..what a joke.

      Delete
    11. @6:57 Are you saying that Jill lied about that bill and it didn't happen? Maybe you'd like to ask her about it personally and see what she would say. I hope she kept it in a file as evidence.

      Delete
    12. 6:57 yeah the other children love their parents and respect the personal decisions their parents make with their money. It’s obvious that even after getting her $174,000.00, writing the book, doing the interviews Jill still is not happy. They will never be happy with her parents…too bad.. I’m sure the parents and rest of siblings have moved on and accepted the new normal.

I am currently working at a ULTA warehouse where our hours have been cut so bad because people aren't buying. My only option in my town is a grocery store and that's embarrassing. I still won't be able to live out on my own either.

    4. @5:19 Many community colleges are free these days (or very affordable) and offer LPN or CNA courses. You could start there and with that education, eventually move up to a RN degree. Look into grants and needs-based scholarships, not loans. Tell friends and family that you need college money. Talk to a community college admissions counselor. Even those community college degrees will get you a much better job than a warehouse job while you save for further degrees. Nursing homes are desperate for staff with those degrees! You're young and you might not see anything but a brick wall in front of you right now. I promise there's a door somewhere. Ask everywhere for help - someone can help. But don't wait for help to come and to find you - actively seek it yourself. Show the world how serious you are about your dream. Dreams do come true.

    6. Anon 5:19. With such a defeatist attitude you are short changing yourself. There is a severe shortage of nurses everywhere. If you would apply to a nursing school the financial counselors would be able to get you the finances you need. It will take a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and part time work but is certainly doable. My son was able to attend college even though we were very low income. Yes, it was a difficult journey but he made it. So can you if you change your attitude.

    9. 5:19 have you applied for scholarships? There are many of them out there. Check with the school you are wanting to attend to see what they can offer. Also you don’t have to go full time to become a nurse. Pick your school, go part time, taking pre reqs one at a time. Do any of the places of business where you live offer tuition reimbursement? And the most important - why is working at a grocery store embarrassing??? Get over it. If you really want to be a nurse you can. Why can’t you work 2 part time jobs? I am a RN, BSN, I worked full time and went to school part time to do it. Not the best situation but I got it done.

    15. @5:19 Many people who don't have money for college join the military. You can get college credits by taking free college courses (military offers them) while serving. You get the GI Bill for later and other VA perks. You come out with lots of training and job experience. You'll be hired in something related to the field you served in. You won't be living at home. Of course, this all takes hard work and sacrifice, something they don't seem to be teaching most teenagers these days.

    16. 938, that’s another self defeating attitude. If you never apply you will never get one. It’s always worth a shot. Nursing school isn’t easy. You won’t make it if you are lazy or have a “pity party for me” attitude.

At worst, the prices will stay the same, depending on how much profit the retailer decides to take. Don't let politicians fool you. They will say anything to get elected. They will try to pin blame on someone else when there's no blame to pin, because they know most people won't bother checking facts. Look at the wholesale market numbers for yourself. 27. 8:27 Not sure what you're talking about. The December/January jobs numbers were much better than anticipated. Unemployment basically flat thru 2023. I adjusted my portfolio in January because of those and other positive indicators. It's been doing great ever since. We had a few bad investment years under the previous admin (the big Covid dip). All has come back and then some since. Ask anyone in the stock market how they're doing. Prices you pay at the store are not an accurate reflection of "the economy" in general. That's supply and demand for those products, and can be influenced by many factors, including weather, global conflict, shipping disruptions, etc. I expect produce to go up (and/or become scarcer) shortly because of the weather on the west coast.

    29. China joined the WTO when Bush was prez. Relations were opened when Nixon was. Actually, China's economy is not booming as much as you imply. It's been struggling since about 2008.

  20. Pretty sure Jana is courting. I guess she's going private like Josiah and some of them.

    1. Being private and quiet does not mean you're courting. What proof do you have?

    2. After years of these rumors of Jana courting, I'll wait for her to announce a courtship and not buy into rumors.

    3. 10:06 its not a rumor, it was announced on a new fan blog that keeps up better.

    4. 9:01. That is interesting..I wonder if the blog is available to all. I think this blog is kept up very nicely. I would think they probably wanted a blog that would be more their supporters. For some reason ..ever since Jill’s involvement in the Happy Shiny movie, her book and interviews..there have been hostile people making hostile comments about the Duggars..who have graciously not responded. This is a Duggar support group blog…I wish the people who are anti-Duggar family would make their nasty comments on Jill’s blog.

    5. The updated blog says the eldest daughter’s fiancé has two kids who she loves. She says they are too old to be flower girl and ring bearer when the wedding occurs. She did not give a timeframe.

  21. @5:19 I don't know where are, but businesses are begging for workers where I live and paying bonuses for signing on. Check out nursing homes, restaurants, hospitals, etc., any service industry. Trucking companies always need dock workers and pay quite well. Find another job or two and save your money. Check out community colleges, where tuition is lower. Look for scholarships or grants for low-income students. BTW, why is working in a grocery store embarrassing? I worked my way through four years of college on my income as a grocery store
cashier back in the 1970's. I wasn't embarrassed. Yes, tuition was much lower then, but my hourly pay was only $1.25 and no overtime.
