3 Years for John and Abbie

It's a busy week for Duggar anniversaries. The Seewalds celebrated seven years on the 1st, and the Vuolos will be married five years on the 5th. Today is John-David and Abbie Duggar's special day. Happy three-year anniversary to this couple! To add to the celebrations, there are seven Duggar birthdays this month, and four of those are in the first eight days.

In "Meet Gracie Duggar," you'll watch John-David Duggar prepare for his daughter's arrival by making a special video for Abbie. Abbie goes into labor, but it is deemed a false alarm. Easter 2020

Wishing all our blog readers a blessed Easter! Below are a few photos shared by the Duggars in honor of Easter.

We are grateful for a risen Savior, Jesus Christ, who paid the price for our sins by sacrificing His life on the cross 2,000 years ago, and we know the Duggars are grateful for that, as well. We are living in a difficult time, but this pandemic was not a surprise to God. He promises to be with His children through it all and to give us a peace that surpasses understanding. If you long to experience an overwhelming peace, no matter what is going on in your life, we encourage you to genuinely pray to God and seek Him. The Bible tells us that there will be troubles in this world but that we can take heart, for God has overcome the world.

One day, when our earthly lives are no more, those who have put their hope in Him will spend eternity in Heaven. Because God is a just God, he cannot be with those who have not confessed their sin. For that reason, those who have not trusted God as their personal Lord and Savior will spend eternity in Hell, a place that is infinitely more torturous than anything we have seen on Earth. God's gift of eternal life is free, not earned. No matter what you have done, if you confess your sin and make Jesus the Lord of your life, He will save you.

This message may sound crazy, but how will you feel if you find out at the end of your life that God is real and that you could have accepted His free gift of salvation? Eternity is a long time to spend in a terrible place.

Duggar Christmas 2019

To celebrate Christmas, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar hosted a big gathering and gift exchange at the "big house." Some of the couples were away for the holidays, but many were able to come. (Josh and Anna Duggar and their kids traveled down to Florida to visit the Kellers, and Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo hosted the Vuolos in Los Angeles.) Grand-Duggar #17 Coming Soon

As Christmas and New Year's are quickly approaching, so is Abbie Duggar's due date. She is already 36 weeks pregnant, with the baby due around John and Jana's 30th birthday (January 12th). For those who haven't heard, it's a girl, which will bring the Duggar grandchild count up to eight girls and nine boys.

Abbie's Severe Morning Sickness

Recent trip to San Francisco

 

John-David and Abbie Duggar are due with their first child in January 2020. They just revealed to Us Weekly that Abbie struggled with debilitating morning sickness for several weeks and was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. The mom-to-be landed in the hospital multiple times for dehydration

Abbie told Us Weekly that John has been an "angel," caring for her and doing all the housework. They have chosen a name for their little girl but are keeping it under wraps. The adventure continues for John and Abbie Duggar, as they wrap up their honeymoon in Finland. Lauren Duggar opens up about her struggles with grief and depression, and Jinger travels to Arkansas for a visit when Grandma Duggar's health declines. Jessa and Ben also find out the gender of their third child.

MEDIC CORPS Bahamas Update

Happy Sunday! We wanted to give you an update on the crew that is doing disaster and medical relief work in the Bahamas with MEDIC CORPS. Some have returned home, while others have joined the team. The most recent crew has included Lawson Bate, Nathan Bates, John-David Duggar, Jana Duggar, Abbie Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar and the Duggars' friend Laura.

The team is stationed in Marsh Harbor, in the Abaco Islands, and has been working around the clock and sleeping on the airport floor. They have partnered with organizations like Samaritan's Purse and Team Rubicon to multiply their efforts. Visit the News4Jax website to read a touching story written by one of the anchors.

Duggars' Bahamas Efforts Mentioned on CBS

"A family from Arkansas." That's how David Begnaud, lead national correspondent for CBS News, refers to John-David Duggar, Jana Duggar, Austin Forsyth, James Duggar, and Lawson Bates when they appear in the background of a newscast.


"They flew their own plane in here so that they could be a part of it," says Begnaud. "That's what we're talking about here, folks just showing up at the airport asking for permission to go out and help."

The September 4th newscast was shot at a private airport hanger inside the Nassau, Bahamas, airport, where the Duggars and Bates and others were standing by to help. They arrived in the Bahamas on September 3rd and have been working tirelessly to evacuate hurricane victims, transport relief workers, and deliver supplies.

Duggars Provide Relief to Bahamas

For the residents of the Bahamas, the past 36 hours have been a nightmare, as Hurricane Dorian stalled over the islands and caused mass destruction. A few of the Duggars (John-David, Jana, Jason, James, and Austin), along with Lawson Bates and Nathan Bates, flew to the Bahamas this morning to lend a hand. They are with an organization called Medic Corps and will be using their training to deliver emergency supplies and provide medical and disaster relief. Those who are interested in supporting their efforts can do so on the Medic Corps website.

Earlier today, we shared a photo from John and Abbie Duggar's gender reveal party. Now we ae hopping back on here to pass on the exciting news: It's a girl! That's right, another Duggar granddaughter!

To continue the theme that was sort of established at the start of their relationship, their reveal was flight-themed, according to TLC. Visit the TLC website to watch the couple's announcement video. Abbie says that her first trimester was difficult but that she is feeling better now that she is in the second trimester. John and Abbie have not made their due date public, but we will let you know when and if they do.

John and Abbie Duggar already revealed the location of the honeymoon they took a few months after the wedding (see our post from four weeks ago), but where did they go immediately after becoming husband and wife? Last night on Counting On (be sure to read our recap), we watched engaged couple John Duggar and Abbie Burnett travel to the Philippines for a medical mission trip Do you remember back in the day when John-David and Jana Duggar worked as first responders? That training has come in handy for John as he seeks to address both the physical and spiritual needs of those who attend the clinics (video below). Abbie relies on her nursing degree.

In case you missed Monday's episode (be sure to check out our recap), we wanted to fill you in on the activity that Jim Bob and the Duggar brothers engaged in. It's called flour bombing, and it's the process of throwing bags of flour from an airplane onto a target on the ground. While Abbie tried on wedding dresses with the ladies, John-David Duggar hosted a flour bombing competition for his bachelor party.
