Derick Turns 28

Happy 28th birthday, Derick! He and Jill Dillard have been back in Central America for three weeks and will remain there until they return to Arkansas for the birth of their second son, due in July. Take a walk down memory lane with these snapshots:

  7. I see a young Derick went to a real school and celebrated Halloween in a nice way. He's a perfect example that shows a child can go to school, celebrate Halloween, and still be a good Christian. Why do the Duggars cut so much 'good' out and make it wrong and bad?

    1. Halloween is out. Witches are absolutely forbidden in the Bible.

    2. As parents, we have to decide what's best for our children by looking in the Bible. We can't find someone who did something once, and still decided to live for God as an adult. If that was our standard, then what about the other people who did that same thing and decided to reject God?

    3. There are plenty of Christians that have scriptural reasons for not celebrating Halloween and many aren't as conservative as the Duggars. They are not doing anything wrong.

    4. God's law always supercedes man's law if it isnt the same. Not everything that society says is good 'is good'. We each decide for ourselves and our children. We each are held accountable and reap the consequences of our choices. Good or bad. Who are you to say that the Duggars are wrong? They are responsible before God for their choices. So am I. So are you.

    5. 10:53 PM -- You need to reread what @3:19 wrote. He/she did NOT SAY the Duggars are wrong. Why do people not read and understand a comment before responding to it?

    6. Some Christians enjoy Halloween for the candy and the pumpkins. It doesn't have to be about witches and goblins. Our church does a Harvest festival on Halloween every year, with pumpkins and candy.

  11. Happy Birthday Derick!! I love the pic of Jill in the snow pants. She looks so stylish and modern. She would look nice in pants!! All clothing is man made. Pants/jeans cover better than skirts and you can do more activities with them. But to each their own. Just really wanted to say Happy Birthday!!!

  18. Happy birthday Derick may God bless you and your family always. A mission field is anywhere we do God's work. Derick and Jill felt God wants them where they are and God's will is all that matters.Hope that helps
