Dillard/Seewald Snapshots

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Many folks in the United States, including the Duggars, had snow. For Arkansas and other southern states, snow is an unusual occurrence and always cause for celebration. Jessa and Ben Seewald watched 16-month-old Spurgeon experience it for the first time.

It was Henry's first snowfall, too, but the fascinating white flakes falling from the sky probably didn't make much of an impact on him. He and Jessa stood by the window watching Ben and Spurgeon play and then ran outside for a quick picture.

Today marks Henry's five-week milestone. According to the Seewalds, Spurgeon adores his little brother.

Down in Central America, the Dillards are enjoying temperatures in the 80s and 90s, with no chance of snow. Jill is in her second trimester of pregnancy.

    4. Ben takes some correspondence courses and does odd jobs for Jim Bob

      Delete
    5. I don't believe that was the question

      Delete
    6. But does Ben have a job?

      Delete
    7. It's always the question but never a satisfactory answer so people are assuming that he doesn't have a steady job.

    8. several times on the show they have mentioned that ben works for jim bob in his real estate business doing odd jobs. that is how ben provides for his family. why is that not a good enough answer? its also been mentioned that he is studying to be a preacher. lucky family that this allows them to be flexible & spend time together. jim bob runs a very successful 3rd/4th generation real estate company which enabled them to live debt free with 14 children before any of us knew about them. he would not let any of his daughters marry unless they could be provided for nor do i think he would even condsider it!

    1. REGINA!! Hello from Florida! Send your snow my way, I'll take it. I need to take a break from my gardening and go in the house in the air-conditioning to cool off. What I wouldn't give for just even a few snow flurries! You know what they say....grass is always greener and all that!

    1. My eyebrow hairs fell out when pregnant with my son and took months after his birth to grow back. It happens to some ladies after having a baby effects hair on head too (I went baldish around my face)..... I was always thinking someone might think I'd done this too but I very rarely pluck my eyebrow hairs only the strays as they aren't thick to start with!

      Delete
    2. Oh no! I really like my eyebrows. Not looking forward to that!!

    3. Better your eyebrows than teeth! That was my "sacrifice" from 4 pregnancies in 6 years!!

  13. What is on Spurgie's head? I love it!! I can't tell if it is a flower ball cap Jessa would wear or if it's Bens. But it does look like a flowered print. Anyway, super adorable!!

  16. I live in Maryland and we're getting twelve inches of snow, maybe more starting tonight and into Tuesday afternoon. Love looking at all the pictures, what wonderful parents you are.

  17. How come Ben & Jessa arn't wearing a hat if it's cold down their they should be wearing hats?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm more concerned with why the baby's ears weren't covered when they were out in the falling snow with him. That hat needed to be pulled down! Makes me cold just looking at it.

      Delete
    2. As the article said, Jessa and the baby went outside just long enough to take a picture. Henry's not going to get chilled in that amount of time.

  18. Spurgeon needs a haircut. He hair is to bushy.

    1. I agree. Baby curls are cute but he's growing into toddlerhood and that long hair looks too feminine on him now.

      Delete
    2. Nooo....leave those baby curls as along as you can...once u cut them off they lose that baby look.I don't blame them from wanting to leave them be for a bit... whats the hurry...its their child by the way...blessings😉

    3. Spurgeon's hair is curly, it will keep his head warm.

    1. Why? No ones ever left a wet towel on a chair before???? How about... wow those are beautiful children in that picture!

  21. Of all of them, Ben, especially, seems awfully young to have two kids already at 21. What does he do actually to provide? All I see them do is take pictures.

  22. My goodness, Izzy looks like he's ready for kindergarten this fall. Is he two years old yet?
Jill needs to be VERY COMCERNED about the size of this baby and being out of the country.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yea ,I was wondering that too...if Ben & Jessa
    moved few months ago,already then...

  24. A wet towel can ruin a wooden chair,
    Don't ya know.
