Duggars Fall Into Fall

 Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar

The Duggars have had a busy fall. In the past few weeks alone, they have celebrated two birthdays (Johannah's and Mackynzie's), attended the Demolition Derby, and cheered on the Razorbacks at a University of Arkansas football game.

The Dillards have spent several days in Washington D.C., while other members of the family are down in East Texas at the week-long International ALERT Academy Family Camp.

And here's a new photo of Spurgeon Seewald and Henry Seewald, shopping at ALDI with Jessa.

  1. That Alert training of theirs never seems to be put to good use.

    2. They helped during the recent hurricanes and more.

    3. Anon @ 8:33 I did not see that mentioned anywhere. How do you know this information, and what help did they give?

    4. How much training do you need to go shovel out a flooded house? Other volunteers do it all the time, no fancy training required.

    5. The Bates men helped after the hurricane, not the Duggars.

    6. It's possible that they help out with things that they don't publicize. If they did help and then posted pic or videos, they'd probably be criticized for just helping for photo ops. Once again, I urge that people not judge when they don't know all the facts.

    7. Filming their volunteer work would make for interesting material for the show- not just face-painting, prayer, or handing out tracts, either. I'd really like to know how the Alert training has helped them contribute in a productive way to their community or others. I was impressed that the Bates men went to Houston, flew into Puerto Rico and got their hands dirty- made a difference for people.

  2. Counting On has never been the same without Jim Bob and Michelle. I just wish the show was more family oriented rather than just on the sisters. #19KAC

    3. Agree, SuperJames!

    4. Ok by "ENTIRE" you all probably mean Josh too. I don't have an opinion on whether or not he should be on the show, but TLC has already said he won't be coming back on, so I don't know why people keep asking.

    5. I don't know what version you're watching, but I've seen the entire family on the shows this season, minus the person who didn't follow the terms of his contract.

    6. You know TLC would not have terminated Josh without good legal reason to do so. And having done so, they are under no obligation to bring him back. It's between Josh and TLC, not the viewers.

    7. It's not the same, though. They don't typically interview anyone besides the adult children, and what we see of the rest of the family is often incidental.

    9. I miss All in the Family and Mary Tyler Moore, but TV shows come and go. None last forever- that's just the way it is. You have to settle for reruns!

  4. Love the pic of Spurgeon and Henry! I had two little boys close together like them and they just warm my heart. They are illegally cute and the very most precious company to be held in a buggy! You just want to squeeze them!

    1. Agree 100%. People who don't want to see Josh need to get over it because there will be more pictures coming. And I'm happy to see to see them too!

    2. Regina I dont agree that "people who dont want to see Josh need to get over it". First of all as for this blog its simple, those offended by Josh just wont come here anymore. Secondly, if youre referring to the tv show or TLC, that would be a money decision on TLCs part and I dont think TLC will ever put Josh on again because they want people to tune in, not tune out! So if readers and/or viewers dont want to look at Josh, they dont have to! At this point Im sure TLC knows there are more people who DONT want to see Josh than ones who DO!

  8. I hope that Jessa is pregnant again! She seems like one who will challenge her parents with how many kids she will have. the boys are so adorable!

    1. Not being one of those negative people, but your mineral reserves can really get depleted with back-to-back pregnancies and start messing with stress response, hormones, etc. I've been told that it's common after the third pregnancy. Not saying you shouldn't have more than two children, but it's important for the mom to take really good care of her health if she wants to continue having babies.

    2. 9:22- Challenge her parents? Implying that it's a competition is not a good thing. Maybe she doesn't want more children. If not, that's ok. I certainly wouldn't wish someone to be pregnant so soon.

    3. There is also a good bit of research to support that spacing should be practiced between pregnancy to ensure that the mother's body is completely recovered. The suggestion is at least 2 years between births

  9. What adorable little boys Jessa and Ben have! I'm sure those little "cutie patooties " keep mom and dad on their toes lol! I'm sure at some point they'll have a little girl who will be a cutie too. Then again, you never know, my parents gave up on a boy after having us 5 girls! Hope Jessa and Ben don't try to outdo the Duggars 19 kids! I must say too that the Seewalds appear to relish their roles as parents!
