  2. I'm not looking forward to seeing that joker drop down from above with the ring.

    1. That was ridiculous, and turned a religious ceremony into a circus.

    2. I disagree. I thought it was a sweet and memorable moment. My sister in law played who wants to be a millionaire in the middle of their wedding. Different strokes for different folks. Why not just enjoy the parts you like and keep your ugliness to yourself. Very sad.

    3. I think these poor kids have been on tv so long that they are becoming more actors then real people and feel the need to preform now. I really wish they would learn that there are so many better ways to earn a living then to sell their privacy and the privacy their children are entitled to for money. Every family special moment is up for sale. There is a much better way to live.

    4. So true Anon 11:44. I admire the Duck Dynasty family for how they knew when to pull out and they not only own the Duck call business but have opened a restaurant called Willie's Duck Diner where family, friends and fans can go and have a nice meal. Their children can now have places to learn a good work ethic and keep their privacy in tack. That was very wise thinking on their part. It would be nice to see the Duggars do something like that.

    5. If you want to play games and have people drop from the ceiling, do it somewhere other than in the church. I don't like how churches are allowing people to stray from the traditional solemn ceremonies and services. And then you hear complaints that people don't behave as well as they did in the "good old days." Gee, wonder why not, with this nonsense being allowed.

  3. They are a young age & personally think that Joe's mentioning of the first kiss has to do with lack of wisdom regarding which words to tell viewers. TLC chooses what footage to show as well & we are hearing TLC show that over & over. Some of us are sensitive to focus on the first kiss, but I don't see it as Joe & Kendra's focus-it's how the footage comes across-I'd rather hear other things.

  4. Yes, looking forward to it very much. It'll be so nice to see a Duggar's son getting married.

  5. Someone should have told Josiah that the day was about the bride and groom, not him.

    1. That's not Josiah that's Joseph. If Joy and Austin were ok with it who really cares

    2. I thought it was cute

    3. You live and learn. He'll look back on it years down the road and may not think it's as clever as he did then. Who knows? It wasn't our wedding day and besides, it's the bride and grooms opinion that truly matters.

  6. Kendra's wedding look is just exquisite! It is clear that each element was carefully considered - from the blusher style veil, the sparkling top, and the magnificent skirt- to truly reflect her personality, commitment, and style. She just radiates excitement and joy, and it is lovely to behold. She exudes class and elegance too. Well done!

  7. Its on you tube already. Just the ceremony. And 19 is a reasonable age. I got married at 19. And almost 20 years and 10 kids later i still am and to the same man. And i dont regret getting married at that age. Infact, i wanted to get married asap. But my husband said wait. I tire of people saying its too young and they need to experience life a little. What better way to experience life than with your best friend by your side?

    1. I was married at 19 as well, 13 years later, I'm still thankful I made that choice! :)

    2. Whatever works for you! However, marrying young and having many children is not for everyone!

    3. Genuinely curious, what would happen to you and your 10 kids if your husband passed, became severely disabled, or up and left the family? Waiting to marry gives both partners time to establish an ability to support themselves and each other in the future if needed. When a woman voluntarily gives up establishing any earning potential, she puts herself, her spouse, and future kids at risk unnecessarily. Just because we can wed and reproduce as teens doesn't mean it's a responsible or wise choice.

    4. Having an education doesn't mean that bam, your spouse dies so you can do it all alone. Glad you had An education. I assure you, just like every other spouse in the world that has lost a spouse- she'd figure it out.

    5. Anonymous@3:48, I was married at 18 and have been married for 38 years. We had four children who are all grown. We did have a situation where my husband did not have income for over two years. Guess what? God provided avenues for us to adequately provide the necessities through that period. I don't think christians view persons as having earning potential. You see, when Christ died for me and my sins, not only was I forgiven and set free from death, but instantly became joint heirs in all the riches and glories of GOD. Money is temporary and more fleeting than life itself. If a christian is called to marry young and have a family-that is their life's offering and vocation.

    6. No one can predict the future. Live for today. Getting married young has positive and negative.....they will be fine.

    7. I would love to know how you lived for 2 years without your husband's income, 10:20. How did "God" provide? Do you mean you took handouts, were on welfare and food stamps, or did God send a check every week? Please enlighten us because I'm sure there are many wondering how you paid bills and put food on the table without one (or the main) income. What were these "avenues" you had that others don't know about?

    8. There's no one formula for happiness. Some people marry young, stay married and are happy. Others wait and marry later in life and are also happy. However, for those who claim "God provides", I believe He does expect us to use our common sense about making sure you have the financial means necessary to support a family, whether one works or both. Statistically, divorce rates are highest among younger couples under the age of 25. Financial disagreements/hardships are some of the major reasons.

    9. Anonymous @11:46 We were not without my husbands income but we had a family of 6 living on 16,000 a year, and I did provided daycare for two young children at a whopping $80 per week! We sold our home, moved to a small rental, had no cable tv, one car, paid our bills, had a rotation meal plan - ate the same meals on a two week cycle, didn't eat out, didn't buy chips, soda, candy, etc and yes there were a few times when we did receive unexpected checks in the mail. One check came from out-of-state and we never had a clue who sent it. It was unsolicited. We went to church every Sunday morning and Sunday evening, Wednesday night church and had a wonderful social circle. No secret, just lived humbly and stayed content with what we had. It sounds like you have had some rough times. Trusting in God is not easy, but He is all sufficient. My children have college degree and look back as those years not as being deprived at all. I guess it comes down to your perspective.

  10. I have read a few posts here saying the show will be back in January. I thought there was no offical confirmation from TLC yet as to if and when the show will return, just wondering if January is correct and I've just missed something?

    1. They filmed Joe's honeymoon, so who knows. Frankly, I can't imagine another series of shows like this. Not unless they get Jana in a courtship...

  11. I'm So happy for Joe! He deserves to be happy. And Kendra is a wonderful person.

  12. I absolutely loved the cross and the wall of candles they used for the backdrop. I think it was very unique and beautiful. Kendra was a beautiful bride, although she just looked so young. They looked very happy. I thought the bouquet that they put together at the last minute for Kendra turned out beautiful.

  13. It seemed all she was concerned about was getting kissed, and how "sparkly" her dress was.

    1. In fairness, that's all the producers were asking about and all they put in. They could have opted to ask the couple about the seriousness of the commitment and what they had planned for their lives, where they would live, their work/income, etc., but they didn't do that. I don't know why. It would be more interesting and probably make the family come across better too.

    2. I think TLC is purposely trying to torpedo their own ship to sink it...

    3. Maybe they have a convenant contract with the Duggars and the only way they can get out of it is if the show dies?

    4. And when Joy wasn't concerned about her dress you all complained. Maybe you should write some scripts for nect season so they respond as "you" believe they should. Who cares that that's what she was worried about. When I got married, I was fixated on my dress.. 20 years and 4 kids later.. guess that fixation didn't mean I wasn't ready or immature. It meant I was worried about my dress.

    1. Her dress wins top marks. It even beat out Jinger's. At this rate, Josie will probably wed in couture.

    2. Totally agree about the dress!! It's so wonderful how it captured her personality, charm and style! And her hair was so perfect for the occasion and looked great with the veil. She obviously paid attention to the little details too, like the bracelet that added just enough extra sparkle to her overall look. I couldn't see her shoes but hope a pic will surface soon where we can see them too!

  16. 11:44 p.m., I think Josiah would have played that joke whether or not they were on TV. He has always been known as a bit of a prankster, if you have watched earlier episodes.

  17. Has the whole family forgiven Josh for his past? He was a part of the wedding party. I want to see a special on Jill giving birth and then repeated at 11p.m.
