Mackynzie's 1st Birthday (Duggar #TBT)

 Johannah Duggar and Jackson Duggar

Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!

Mackynzie Duggar turned seven years old in October, but many of you remember watching her as an infant and toddler on TLC's 18 Kids and Counting and 19 Kids and Counting. In this Throwback Thursday video, the Duggars gather to celebrate the eldest grandchild's first birthday.

  3. It feels suspiciously as if you are trying to bring back Josh and Anna. I don't understand the relevance of this otherwise.

    1. Please don't bring back Josh. I didn't enjoy seeing him in that clip, playing happily families.

    2. Well, it's a Throwback Thursday post, so they're bringing back an old video. A cute old video. A cute old video that we haven't seen in a long time. Seems relevant to the theme to me!

    3. I'd love to see Josh and Anna back, as long as Josh is on the straight and narrow. There's nothing better than a true redemption story.

    4. I don't enjoy watching Josh. I feel the man needs serious help. I don't think what he did should be glazed over.

I enjoy counting on but I can't support Josh coming back. He needs to concentrate on his mental health.

    5. Josh and Anna are part of the family; they never left. It doesn't matter what your opinion is, it doesn't involve you, you are just a viewer, that's all you are.

    6. I believe the relevance is as stated in the title. Just for fun as a "throw back Thursday "

    7. This is a Duggar blog - not a Counting On blog and not a TLC blog. Josh and Anna are still part of the Duggar family whether TLC has dropped them or not. The phrase "trying to bring back Josh and Anna" makes no sense because they never left the family... and this blog is about the family.

    8. They are not trying to bring back josh and anna. First they have and will always be apart of the family. He made a mistake yes but he is trying to make things right. Thats first. Second there children should not be shamed for something ther father did. It was nice to re visit her first birthday. She is now 7 time flies when kids r young. You need to stop thinking about what happened on the past and remain focoused on the future. As i am sure josh anna and his children. Time to forgive

    10. what would be wrong with Josh and Anna coming back?! WOW guess no one can sin and then over come and be back in the fold?! BRING BACK JOSH AND ANNA!

    11. That's rediculous! My goodness!

    12. Ah!!!!! They were so adorable 😊

    13. I think sometimes those people that go on and on about some other person's sin, have something in their own lives they are trying to hide. That is why it bothers them so much they have to see themselves.

      Delete
    14. Well now all of you naysayers. I was certainly correct. It was indeed a ploy to announce Josh and Anna are expecting. Suspicious ?? I think not!!

    15. We are "just" viewers? Without viewers, they wouldn't have a show. That footage would be nothing more than home movies. Viewers are the reason they are where they are today. So you'd think the Duggars and TLC would do all they could do to keep the viewers happy and informed, not confused or angry...

      Delete
    16. For the last time, 5:56, none of us "sinned" like Josh or are trying to "hide" anything. My life is totally mundane by comparison and you could look high and low without finding anything as interesting as what Josh gave us. I spent yesterday cleaning and vacuuming. The only dirty laundry I have for you to discover are the cleaning rags.

    17. A ploy to announce Josh and Anna are expecting? You still sound suspicious. As if one little video showing Josh and Anna in the early days will warm us all up to the family again so that when a baby announcement comes out the next day we'll all say, "Oh, two days ago I would have been so upset to see a baby announcement, but now that I've seen that throwback video I'm ok seeing Josh and Anna again?" It's possible you're overthinking this. And by the way, I truly hope the two of them are rebuilding their marriage in strong and healthy ways, that Josh is bending over backwards to love his wife and family, and that this new little one does indeed signal a whole new era of their relationship. I hope only the best for them. God can indeed change people. There are a bunch of examples in the Bible. There are examples among people I know, including myself. He can even give us love in our heart for others, true love that forgives and thinks the best of others. Yes, people will let us down even when we love them that way, but God also heals the brokenhearted and brings beauty from ashes.

    18. You called it!!!! With the newest post announcement.

    19. To 9:14 AM above -- Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin throw the first stone," NOT "Let he who is without a sin as bad as the person you're stoning throw the first stone." ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Yes, that means even you, with your cleaning and vacuuming.

      Delete
    20. I'd like to know how someone sins while cleaning and vacuuming, 10:43. What did that person possibly do? And who says ALL have sinned? If you don't believe in that god, then who's judging you? That saying is your belief and your opinion, not everyone's. You're passing judgement where you shouldn't, using your standards, not others'.

      Delete
    21. You all who claim you haven't sin make me laugh. Actually it makes me sad. Wouldn't want to be you on Judgement Day.

      Delete
    22. Funny, those who claim all sin make me laugh. Wouldn't want to be them on any day.

      Delete
    23. 10:15 AM -- I am sorry you don't understand how a person who cleans and vacuums can also be a sinner. There's probably not much more I can say to explain it, but if you're really interested then I suggest you read your Bible with an open heart and ask for God's wisdom. He promises it to all who ask.

  7. So fun to see the kids when they were younger. Michelle & Jim Bob are so sweet. I loved that Jim Bob was so kind with Amy. Good times for the whole family, nothing is better.

  8. I don't think little children should be ostracized for the behavior of a parent

    1. Nobody is saying to ostracize the kids. It's Josh who makes us feel uncomfortable.

    2. I agree. This was about innocent adorable children and I appreciate it being shared.

  9. It's a shame that none of the Duggar children or grandchildren even know who Bullwinkle is. They had that fun when they were children yet their own can't enjoy those cartoons.

    1. I thought so, too, 4;20. Shows Michelle had a mainstream upbringing, and it didn't ruin her.

    2. I grew up in an unbelieving home. Im 44. I have no idea who bullwinkle is!!!

    3. I doubt if the children have suffered not knowing who a cartoon character is. I'm sure God isn't going to punish the Duggars for not telling the children about a silly fictional character.

  10. 2:04 I think this was an attempt to keep Mackenzie in our memmories and the Duggar family. She did nothing wrong. It was her father.

Sadly, I couldn't watch ALL of the old Episodes, but I'm thankful that I got to see a lot of them on YouTube.

  12. The early days of Josh and Anna's marriage were so sweet. It hurts my heart when I watch old episodes with the realization of what is about to transpire in their lives. That said - the story isn't over yet. I hope and pray for some amazing healing in their lives.

  14. I love Josh. Josh, I don't care what people who aren't fans say about you, I'm a fan. You are a hero. Even though you made poor choices, you always learned your lesson to make better choices.

  16. One of my favorite parts of the show! So miss the young kids and ALL the Duggars! Wish TLC would stop trying to please the few haters and give all the fans the entire family. We want the young kids, Jim Bob and Michelle, Anna and JOSH, ......oh yea and Grandma Duggar!

    1. I miss all the younger children but I'm also glad they live a quiet life away from cameras.
The viewer only see what was left from editing and having a camera filming everything you do must be stressful.

    2. Ratings and revenue determine what stays on. Having a loyal fan base does not guarantee a continued run of any show. TLC, or any other network, is operating under the policy that It's strictly business.

  18. That is a lot of money spent on costumes for a 1 yr. old's party!

    1. I never celebrated halloween with my kids, but I always bought them clearance costumes after it was over. All kids love to dress up so that is a cheap way to get costumes. Plus the Duggars shop at second hand stores, so I am sure they didn't pay much for them.

      Delete
    2. I'm sure TLC provided them, for something to film.

    3. Josh and Anna are part of this family. They love each other and how they choose to restore their marriage has nothing to do with us.

      Delete
    4. And the amount of money they spent on costumes -probably bought at thrift stores with THEIR money - is a concern of yours - why?

    5. Those were props provided by TLC for the party and for your entertainment. I hope they were donated to less fortunate children afterwards!

  23. Bring Josh back when his wife, and siblings are comfortable about it.then we might feel comfortable about it. I remember when Anna and the older siblings were talking about Josh they all looked so uncomfortable and so much crying. It was very hard to watch and very sad. When you bring Josh back, please don't put us through that again. I'm praying that it will be uplifting and happier. A fan always

    1. The problem is, there are minor children involved. Anna's children deserve privacy and a chance to grow up away from the cameras and criticism.

    2. Amen.. Josh and Anna's children need a whole childhood of privacy.

      Delete
  24. Why would I enjoy watching the older shows that included Josh and Anna? Their life at that time clearly was a sham. Anna never had the marriage she thought she had. It's hypocritical of this family to highlight it.

    1. Totally agree! Having been married 25 years, my heart grieves in more ways than one for what Anna has lost. Having walked through this with a close friend, it is shattering to the injured spouse. Seeing Anna so full of love, innocence, and hope and excitement for their future and knowing how shattering that is, kicks my compassion for her and the children into overdrive. The reality, as crass as it is, it that Josh needed a wife. I sincerely hope that he did, in fact, love Anna for his sake and hers. God is not mocked; whatever a man sows that will he reap. I hope he has sincerely repented and will spend the rest of their time together proving he loves her more than himself.

Seems the sad disgruntled folks thrive on negativity and want others to feel the same way they do.Happy folks seem to be more positive about life and give more compliments and lift eachother up. Sometimes you can sure tell alot about about a person from a simple post...happy dont harp and the content dont criticize.😉
