Another Hair Tutorial

Earlier this year, we filmed and posted a Duggar hair tutorial. Erin Paine, the third oldest of Gil and Kelly Bates' 19 children and a close friend of the Duggars, recently filmed her own hair tutorial. Both tutorials are posted below.

  1. Awesome! I will try this in the future. My hair is waist level long and takes forever to curl with a curling iron.

    1. I have the same length of hair. Use a conair curling wand; it takes like 10 minutes :)

  7. I am guessing that as they have children the hair will fall by the wayside ... mine sure as heck did. :-)

  8. I LOVE this hair tutorial with Erin! So is so adorable and very genuine! She takes the time and effort to explain it so that you get it. Her hair is gorgeous! I would love to see more of her especially interacting with some of the Duggars. She is great. All the best!

  9. Erin did beautifully! I remember her being a bit too peppy for me when we saw them before their wedding. She has matured and grown into a well spoken and elegant young woman now. :) i hope she does many more videos!

  14. Erin makes styling her hair look easy, I think her nimble fingers and smarts are behind that trick.
    Nice job!

  16. A general fashion question: where do the Duggar girls buy their skirts? They're so cute and I'd love to get one.

  17. I am curious as to why the girls wear their down and do not put it up in buns, pony tails, etc., even in the hot summer. I believe in long hair also. Do they have something against it? Chris

  18. So great to see Erin!
Thank you for sharing with us. She certainly has mastered the process...would not be surprised if she managed caring for an infant and still was able to style her hair...some people unlike myself have a true talent.

  19. Does anyone know what CD Erin's music came from on the tutorial 1? I couldn't find it on amazon.

  22. This is great for teenagers and young adults that have way too much time on their hands. However, on second thought, not so great. Taking TWO DAYS to get a hairstyle? Vanity is thy name. Why not accept what God blessed you with and use your two days doing something useful with your life?

    1. It probably only takes about 20 minutes, total, over 2 days! :)

  23. I have seen many of a movie star stuck on themselves. Erin Bates and Jessa Duggar are breaking the Hollywood mold of being stuck on themselves.

  24. I love the feminin look so much and Im sure everyone else does. Erin you are so beautiful! We are an LDS church family, and our girls also love to look feminin. Love the show, and to see other churches have high standards and great family values such as you!

  25. Her hais is so healthy, probably because she doesnt use much heat. her style is so uniquely her, she reminds me of a Memphis belle. I remember using those curlers in the 70s and early 80s, i didnt know that they still made them.:-)

  26. Thank you! It was great to see another hair tutorial and this time with someone doing their own hair! :) I have no sisters so I have to do my hair myself... I like the way that Jessa did Jill's hair but it was a bit confusing as Jessa was doing Jill's hair and not her own and yet, Erin was doing her own! Hooray! I hope this works!! God bless

  27. What a great tutorial from a beautiful girl inside and out and it is so lovely to see a pretty feminine look. I agree with other comments made that a make up tutorial would also be most welcome. God Bless you to Erin.
