It has been quite some time since we've posted a picture of just Jim Bob and Michelle, so we thought we would share this one. It was taken in Branson, Missouri, which is less than two hours from the Duggars' home in Northwest Arkansas. This July, Jim Bob and Michelle will celebrate 37 years of marriage. That means it won't be long before their ruby anniversary!

Jed's Election Results

The unofficial election results are in for District 89 in Northwest Arkansas. Jedidiah Duggar went against Democrat Megan Godfrey, the incumbent state representative who had won the seat in 2018 by only one percentage point. 

Jedidiah was not victorious in this election but made a wonderful showing for a young man new to politics. He took 44% and lost by less than 700 votes. Don't worry, Jed, you'll get them next time. If Jedidiah does make it to the house, he will be following in the footsteps of his dad. Jim Bob Duggar served two terms in the House of Representatives for District 6 from 1998 to 2002.

Duggar Ladies Outing

Jinger Vuolo and Felicity are in Northwest Arkansas this weekend for a last minute visit with the Duggars. Michelle and her daughters and daughters-in-law (minus Johannah and Kendra. who were unable to attend) enjoyed a meal and a shopping outing together.

Joseph's Family

Snow fell in Northwest Arkansas this weekend, and Joseph and Kendra took the opportunity to snap a sweet photo of their little family. Garrett Duggar is approaching is nine-month milestone.

John-David's Big Win

Now that John-David Duggar and Abbie Burnett are husband and wife, where will they settle down? The wedding took place in Abbie's home state of Oklahoma, in a town about four hours from the Duggars' home in Northwest Arkansas.

The couple will settle in Northwest Arkansas, where John Duggar has just won the Washington County district one constable race. That's great news for the Duggar clan!

If you have been a long-time reader of our blog, you may remember the photo we posted back in January 2013 showing John being sworn in as an Arkansas constable.

Duggar/Swanson Wedding Details

Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson have been Mr. and Mrs. for almost two weeks. The details of their Northwest Arkansas wedding are in this week's issue of PEOPLE Magazine, on newsstands now.

Following in the footsteps of Josiah's six married siblings, the couple saved their first kiss for the altar. Lauren describes the moment as "explosive and wonderful," calling it "an early Fourth of July."

The new bride is the first in her family to tie the knot. She tells PEOPLE: "My parents encouraged me to be Josiah’s biggest fan, offer him support and encouragement. Think the best, never assume the worst. Be his biggest cheerleader."

Dinner with Lauren's Family

To kick off the weekend, Josiah Duggar and fiancée Lauren Swanson joined Lauren's family for dinner. You may recognize the restaurant as Northwest Arkansas's MarketPlace Grill, a Duggar family favorite. While Josiah is the eighth child in his family, Lauren is the oldest in hers.

Duggars at a Marathon

Four days ago, Derick Dillard completed the Hogeye Marathon in Northwest Arkansas. While living in Nepal, he ran both a full and a half marathon, but this was his first race in the United States. His time was 4:16:17. Do you enjoy running?

Vuolos' First Snow

Snow has been spotted in South Texas! The forecast for the next week is sunny and warm, but residents were shocked to see a light dusting yesterday and today. Having grown up in Northwest Arkansas, Jinger is a bit more accustomed to snow than her new friends in Texas, but seeing snowflakes fall from the sky is exciting, nonetheless.

Duggars' May Camping Trip (Photos)

On Monday's episode of Counting On, we watched footage from the camping trip that Joy Duggar and Austin Forsyth took with friends and siblings for their joint bachelor/bachelorette party.

Before setting up their campsite, the group took rafts and kayaks down the Mulberry River in Northwest Arkansas. Are you an outdoorsy person?

Derick Joins School of Ministry

As most of you know, Jill and Derick Dillard have recently become involved in college ministry at Cross Church in Northwest Arkansas. Well, it was just announced that Derick, along with a group of about 20 other men and women, has joined the Cross Church School of Ministry, "a one-year residential ministry experience that prepares leaders for life, ministry, and Gospel advancement globally."

Dillards Do College Ministry

Now that the Dillards have recovered from Samuel Scott Dillard's C-section birth, they are jumping back into full-time ministry. (For those who missed their recent announcement, they have chosen to remain in Northwest Arkansas indefinitely rather than return to Central America.)

Most recently, Jill and Derick have become involved in C3, the Cross Church College Ministry. Not only is it where were Jill and Derick were married, but Cross Church is a very special place for the entire Duggar family for a number of reasons. (To find out why, click here to read a post we wrote three years ago.)

For those who have asked what will happen to Dillard Family Ministries, the entity is being discontinued, and Jill and Derick will no longer be accepting donations through it.

Dillards to Remain in Arkansas Indefinitely

In a new ministry update on their website, Jill and Derick Dillard share their plans for the future. Rather than return to Central America, the family of four will remain in Northwest Arkansas indefinitely.

Jill and Derick say they are grateful for the financial gifts that they have received while working in Central America and the many prayers that have been lifted up in their honor.

"During our time working with SOS Ministries over the past 2 years, we have witnessed God transforming the lives of many involved in the gang community and positively influencing the lives of young people for the sake of the Kingdom," they write. "Through numerous efforts of community development, skills training, sports outreach, and local church ministry, a strong foundation has been laid that [we] believe the Lord will continue to grow for many years to come."

One month after Samuel Dillard's C-section delivery, Jill and Derick announce that they are being led by "much prayer and counsel," "through a number of circumstances" to work as full-time missionaries of the Gospel "within the context of Northwest Arkansas."

Well Wishes from Jeremy's Parents

We know you are all very excited for Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo, who celebrated their wedding on Saturday in Northwest Arkansas. (Click here to see an exclusive wedding photo of the new couple.)

Over the past few days, our blog has been consumed by wedding details, as well as video messages created by Grandma and Grandpa Vuolo, Justin Duggar, Jackson Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar, and Ben Seewald. The newlyweds also made a video for fans, which we shared on Saturday evening.

Jinger's Beautiful Wedding

Four down, 15 to go! Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar watched their sixth oldest child, Jinger Duggar, marry her sweetheart, Jeremy Vuolo, on Saturday at a beautiful chapel in Northwest Arkansas.

Follow the wedding, People Magazine released details of the ceremony, as well as an exclusive photo of the newlyweds. Us Magazine followed with additional information.

The wedding venue was decorated with approximately 2,000 handpicked flowers, reports Us. Guests were served meatballs, cheese, crackers, veggies, and cupcakes (chocolate, cranberry, and pumpkin).

Several family members created videos to congratulate the new Mr. and Mrs. Vuolo (click here to watch). Both the father of the bride (Jim Bob Duggar) and the father of the groom (Pastor Chuck Vuolo) gave speeches at the event.

Duggars Go Extreme

Yesterday evening, the Duggars visited an attraction that opened in Northwest Arkansas last fall. HighRise Extreme Air Sports, located in Rogers, is one of the country's many indoor trampoline parks. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar took a group of Duggars and Seewalds to HighRise for an active night of family fun.

Which family members are not pictured? Jill, Derick, and Israel Dillard are working on the mission field in Central America. Joseph Duggar is attending classes at The Crown College of the Bible in Eastern Tennessee. Anna Duggar, still recovering from childbirth, stayed home with Marcus and Meredith.

Dillards Respond to Nepal Earthquake

The country of Nepal holds a special place in the hearts of Jill and Derick Dillard. After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minor in economics, Derick spent two years in Nepal doing humanitarian work. During that time, Jim Bob Duggar supported him as a prayer partner.

Towards the end of Derick's time in Nepal, Jim Bob encouraged him to begin getting to know Jill via Skype, texting, and snail mail. Then in November 2013, the Duggar dad took his daughter to meet Derick in Nepal, and Jill and Derick officially began courting. Derick returned home to Northwest Arkansas in early 2014. He and Jill were saddened to hear about the earthquake that devastated the nation of Nepal on Saturday. For those looking to donate money or stay updated on relief efforts, Derick recommends an organization called Baptist Global Response.
