Well Wishes from Jeremy's Parents

We know you are all very excited for Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo, who celebrated their wedding on Saturday in Northwest Arkansas. (Click here to see an exclusive wedding photo of the new couple.)

Over the past few days, our blog has been consumed by wedding details, as well as video messages created by Grandma and Grandpa Vuolo, Justin Duggar, Jackson Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar, and Ben Seewald. The newlyweds also made a video for fans, which we shared on Saturday evening.

Here's one more video for y'all, created by Jeremy's parents, Chuck and Diana Vuolo.

  1. Mr & Mrs. Vuolo...well done. You have style and good taste. Please see that your son doesn't lose the good sense of style you have showed him. Take Jinger under YOUR wing and show her how to live.

  2. The Duggars could take some lessons from the Vuolos.

    1. And I'm sure the Vuolos can take some lessons from the Duggars.

  3. I truly do not understand the intent - or even the intended perception of the intent - behind these Duggar message videos. Jeremy's parents were at the wedding. They wished the couple well in person. Michelle and Jim Bob live with their children, so they are able to wish them a happy birthday in person. Even Jill's videos from El Salvador were unnecessary as she talks, texts, and video chats with her family often. If these videos are for the Duggars' fans and visitors to this and other websites - then why are they framed as messages to the Duggars themselves? Couldn't Jeremy's parents simply address the real audience - the fans - and say things like "We are so excited!" rather than pretend they are speaking to Jinger and Jeremy? It is so, so bizarre. Instead of publicly publishing a letter you wrote to your mom, why don't you just publicly publish a essay you wrote about your mom? Why go through the motions of pretending your audience is different than what it is?

    1. Agreed, 1:44. It's publicity. How sweet to have your life splashed everywhere by a PR firm. Who wants to sell their privacy? But then, of course, when it's something to really hide, they won't say a word and they'll ask the public to respect their privacy. Well, it can't be both ways!

    2. many people do a video of their wedding and go around and ask guests at the wedding say something to the new couple. It is for them to look at years and years from now.

    3. I agree. It is strange.

    4. Its a video for them to keep of their wedding day, its very common to do this....

    5. This happened at my wedding too. The videographer went around and interviewed people. Now that my parents have passed away, I'm so happy to have it. To be able to relive that day with them one more time...

  4. Don't the Duggars have anything else going on in their family to talk about besides Jinger and Jeremy's wedding?? This is getting ridiculous.

  5. I'm so thankful Jinger has such kind, level headed and cultural parent in-laws.
She will learn so much from them and broaden her ambitions and future.
    So very happy for them.

    1. I agree. Jinger is probably eager to learn from them. She seems ready to join the rest of the world.

    2. I don't know. I'm still seeing conservative values in line with the Duggars, not some big exit ramp for Jinger to finally break free from the way she was brought up.

    3. You can still have conservative while being open to the wonderful things the world has to offer.

  6. Jeremy's parents have been so gracious and kind, and they are quite the handsome couple too! Mrs. Vuolo's dress looks very elegant. I am looking forward to the wedding episode where we can see how it all came together!

  8. All this talk about learning so much from the Vuolos is not-so-subtly criticising the Duggars again. The Duggars are wonderful, loving and caring parents and I know Jinger is so grateful for all she learned from them and will probably continue to learn more from her own parents than from her parents-in-law.

  9. Jinger will make a great pastor's wife. That won't be an easy job. It will be good for her to connect with her mother in law and other pastor's wives. I'm sure Jinger's parents will be praying for her.

  10. I think Jinger's parents did an amazing job raising their 19 children as well as Jeremy's parents in raising their 3 children & because of that I think Jinger & Jeremy will make absolutely amazing parents as well!!!
