It has been a week of big announcements for the youngest Duggar twins. Just after Jeremiah's engagement news, Jedidiah revealed the gender of his first child. Jed and Katey are looking forward to the arrival of their baby this spring. They did an outdoor gender reveal, which fans can watch on YouTube by following the link below.

Five months after their wedding, Jedidiah and Katey Duggar are looking forward to becoming a family of three! Two days ago, on September 3rd, they announced their pregnancy to their families in a big way. And what's impressive is that they found a unique way to reveal the news that had not already been used by a previous Duggar couple. Baby Duggar is due in spring 2022. Katey Turns 23

Today is Katey (Nakatsu) Duggar's 23rd birthday. Happy birthday, Katey! She and Jedidiah have been married almost four months.

For the Duggars, summertime means time on the water! Joy, Austin, Gideon, and Evy Forsyth met up with Jedidiah and Katey Duggar at Beaver Lake. Jed and Katey have been married almost three months.

Jedidiah Duggar is Married!

We are thrilled to finally be able to announce that 22-year-old Jedidiah Duggar is officially a married man! He and Katey Nakatsu became husband and wife today during a ceremony attended by family and friends. They have desired to keep their relationship (over the past year) and engagement out of the spotlight, and we wanted to honor their wishes by not posting. Katey's father shared a beautiful video of the couple's engagement on his personal blog (link below).

Duggars #10 and 11 Turn 22

Happy 22nd birthday to Jedidiah and Jeremiah! They are Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's second set of twins, and they are the oldest of six brothers who sit between Joy-Anna and Johannah in the Duggar family lineup.

Jed's Election Results

The unofficial election results are in for District 89 in Northwest Arkansas. Jedidiah Duggar went against Democrat Megan Godfrey, the incumbent state representative who had won the seat in 2018 by only one percentage point. 

Jedidiah was not victorious in this election but made a wonderful showing for a young man new to politics. He took 44% and lost by less than 700 votes. Don't worry, Jed, you'll get them next time. If Jedidiah does make it to the house, he will be following in the footsteps of his dad. Jim Bob Duggar served two terms in the House of Representatives for District 6 from 1998 to 2002.

2 Duggars Move Out...Before Marriage

You're definitely going to want to tune in tonight for this week's new episode of Counting On. The title, "A Duggar Bachelor Pad," says it all. Twins Jedidiah Duggar and Jeremiah Duggar have just moved out of the big house into a home of their own. Duggar Twins Turn 21

Twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah celebrated their 21st birthday yesterday. Jed owns a car lot in Northwest Arkansas and is running for state representative, while Jer earned his commercial pilot license this year. Happy birthday to these two!

It's no secret that Joy-Anna Duggar (now Joy-Anna Forsyth) grew up as a tomboy. With two brothers directly above her in the family lineup and six below her, she spend a good portion of her childhood years playing with the boys. And even though she is 21 and married with a son, she still maintains a very close relationship with her brothers. That's why this new photo of "Joy and the boys" is so sweet.

For nostalgia, we have also included a Counting On video clip that aired around the time of Joy's wedding but contains old footage of Joy as a little girl. (The video is from 2017, so disregard the message at the end that says that Counting On airs on Monday nights.)

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at the Duggars'

Have you ever attended an ugly Christmas sweater party? Jim Bob and Michelle, Jana, and a few of the younger Duggar children are on a mission trip in Central America, but the Duggars back home threw an ugly Christmas sweater party at the "big house." Their get-together included Italian food, a baking competition, a white elephant gift exchange, board games, and lots of ugly sweaters.

Birthday Lunch with the Twins

On Wednesday, we posted a new photo of Gideon Forsyth, and a few readers requested a picture that shows his full stature (see below).

The Forsyths have had a busy week. Tomorrow is Joy-Anna Forsyth's 21st birthday, and twin brothers Jedidiah and Jeremiah took her out for an early lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse. Joy is only 14 months older than the twins, and the three were very close growing up. Carlin Bates is also in town, so Joy and Jana took her wedding dress shopping at David's Bridal. Carlin is six months younger than Joy and was a bridesmaid in her wedding.

Jed, Jer, and Jason Do Prison Ministry

For those wondering what the unmarried Duggar adults have been doing, we have an update to share. Last week, Jedidiah Duggar (19), Jeremiah Duggar (19), and Jason Duggar (18) took part in prison ministry, alongside several other men. They partnered with the staff from Journey to the Heart.

If you are a longtime reader of the blog, you have probably heard us mention Journey to the Heart. It is a spiritual retreat, initially created for young people but now available for older adults, in which many of the Duggar kids have participated. The goal is to focus, for several days, on the Lord and to discover his Love in a deeper way.
