Birthday Message From Joe

In honor of Jim Bob Duggar's 52nd birthday yesterday, Joseph Duggar shared a video message for his dad. The 22-year-old, who is currently planning his wedding with Kendra Caldwell, says he hopes to emulate his father as he becomes a parent himself one day.

  1. Shouldn't you be saying that straight to your father's face, not a camera lens?

    1. I think it's a nice tribute to Mr. Jim Bob. I think he's an amazing father this coming from someone who's father didn't bother to stick around.

I think that's what drew me to the Duggars I love his Michelle and Jim Bob

    2. So you've never made a video message for someone you love? They do it at weddings. Somebody doesn't like the duggars but is looking at their blog site and commenting 😂

    3. Well they are reality tv stars....they document and share because a lot of people want to watch....

    4. Rose Taylor: Videos are usually done at wedding as a keep sake and because the bride and groom might not get to spend time with every guest. The videos are not usually put up on social media for public consumption. People are starting to comment because the Duggars live in very close proximity to each other (exception being Jinger) and these are blatantly made for the public to bring traffic to Duggar sites and make money.

  2. Joseph seems like a guy who is kind and wise. I'll bet he and Kendra will have a happy marriage and family.

  3. If my son lived under my own roof and couldn't say a birthday greeting to my face, or say any of those other things to me in person, I'd really have to wonder what was going on!

    1. Yes, it is so weird.

    2. I don't think it's weird. We have no idea what happens privately, this could have been an addition to some private celebration.

      I think it's sweet.

    3. What makes you think he hasn't said Happy Birthday to his father on the morning of his birthday,in person? Why assume he didn't do that? The Duggar's are in the public eye and they have lots of fans including you since you come to this blog! Nothing wrong with a little addition to their in person greeting in their own home.

    4. If you already said happy birthday in person, why are you saying it again to a camera, and then releasing it to the public? It *is* strange.

    5. I am sure that he did say it to his dad's face. Doing a video message like this is sweet and a way of honoring his father. Joe just wants everyone, including his father, to know how special he is to him.

    6. Because Jim Bob is in Hawaii for his birthday and anniversary

  4. Ummmmm.... how do you know he didn't say it to his face, or record it to show it to him and then shared it? Why do people judge so easily anymore? It's sad.

    1. Some people live to think the worst of the Duggars. It fulfills them some how.

I love the Duggars and the criticism get thrown their way for silly things the more I support them. Go Duggar. I want to see more of Michelle

    2. I agree. Ever since people heard about Josh's problems I feel like everyone wants to judge everyone and everything in their family! Yet they are the ones saying they felt judged by the duggars- makes no sense. I've never heard the duggars speak about people the way people speak about the duggars.

  5. 8:04 and 10:26 How do you know he did not say it to his face? Maybe he recorded the public video, and also had some private greetings as well.

    1. Anon @ 6:46. Surely if you gave someone a birthday greeting in person you would not need to record it also, that would be strange behaviour. We all know these are for the fans benefit, so the Duggars get traffic to their site, and make some money in the process.

    2. If you give the private greetings, there is NO need for a "public" video!

    3. Maybe he wants everyone to know how wonderful his father is. I think it's a great tribute to his dad.

  7. One could pick apart any comment made on a public forum. Old, tired ungrateful comments made to be hurtful regardless of your political or religious beliefs. Just happened to read this. Why take time from your 'busy' life to be derogatory?

    1. Perhaps for the same reason you felt compelled to come here and leave your remark, 6:52?

  8. I'm sure he also greeted his dad in person, and these on camera greetings are just their way of creating a videolog. Why would anyone think otherwise?

  9. How do you know his father wasn't behind the camera?

    1. That would be even stranger, 2:39, to be talking to your father and he's busy filming you instead of listening to you and paying attention! These crazy camera moments for every little event have gotten to be too much.

    2. And yet you read everyone. Do you get paid to so hateful mean things about the Duggars?

    3. What an honor for Jim Bob to have children who love him and respect him so much! One of the many reasons I thank the Lord for this family and their testimony!

  10. I find it very interesting and quite irritating that people come here and complain about the Duggar videos. If you take the time to read the small print it says video, courtesy of duggarfamily.com
That happens to be their personal blog. Lily and Ellie are nice enough to post them here. If you don't like them don't watch them. Easy peasy!

  11. I thank the Lord for this family and their love for the Lord and for one another! Can't wait to send a wedding gift to Joe and Kendra from their list and not the fake one. It is a joy to give to this family!

    1. I am sure they would much prefer fans to donate to charity instead of gifts, after all they have many family and guests to buy them gifts. They are also on TV so I am sure they are not short of money to set up home.

  12. Michelle &Jim Bob are in Hawaii that's why joe did the message to his dad.

  13. If you can't say something nice, please don't say anything at all. God bless!
