Cousin Amy's Wedding

On Sunday evening, cousin Amy Duggar tied the knot with Dillon King at Horton Farms in Gravette, Arkansas, about 45 minutes from the the home of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

The majority of the Duggar family joined in on the joyous occasion, including Jessa and Ben Seewald, Jill and Derick Dillard, and Anna Duggar and her four kiddos. Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, Mackynzie, and Josie Duggar served as flower girls at the event, which was attended by approximately 400 guests.

For those curious about the sign hanging above the couple, it says "And He has made everything beautiful in His time," a phrase found in Ecclesiastes 3:11.

  2. Congratulations to Amy and Dillon! May God bless your marriage. And may I say that I'm sorry if any of your joy was stolen or dampened by the negativity aimed at the Duggar family. It saddens me beyond belief. God Bless.

  3. So happy for Amy! And so sad we don't get to see the wedding :'-(!

  4. It is so crazy the way people act like the Duggars hate anyone who believe differently! The dress Amy wore is not what the Duggars would probably have chosen. It does not make a difference in their love for Amy!

  9. It looks like Amy is as beautiful a bride as I would expect her to be. Her veil is gorgeous. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures, especially of her dress, her handsome husband, and precious Josie as flower girl. Thanks Ellie and Lily for filling in some of the huge gap left after TLC cancelled the show.

  17. Wow Amy chose a beautiful, classy & timeless ball gown. Amy looked beautiful. Of Amy, Jil & Jessa's wedding dresses Amy wins hands down! Was pleased Amy had a normal wedding reception. Dancing at weddings is a wonderful time. BTW: David danced befit The Lord it's in the Bible, Old Testament. Cannot believe the Duggars chose to leave Amy's wedding reception early.

  34. How was Amy's last name Duggar if her mom is Jim bobs sister?

    ReplyDelete

    1. When her mom had her she wasn't married to the dad, so her mom just gave her the Duggar last name.

    2. Amy admitted she was born out of wedlock so she was given her mother's maiden name.

      Delete
    3. Because her parents weren't married until a few years ago.

    4. I read that she got pregnant with Amy before she got married. I think they alluded tp that in one of the episodes too.

    5. Her parents weren't married when she was born and only tied the knot when she was 17-18ish, she explained in "her" episode when she went to pursue her music career

    7. Her parents did not marry therefore amy has the Duggar last name just like her mom.

      Delete
    8. As far as I know it's because Amy's mum wasn't married to her dad at the time she was born. But anyone else feel free to correct mme.

  82. Media (paparazzi) should leave Anna alone at a family wedding. Horrible that they are waiting to get pictures they can sell to tabloids when all the poor woman wants to do is attend a wedding and take her kids to be part of their family and a joyous occasion - actually disgusting to see how the tabloids circle around someone with no regards for their children. What right do these photographers have to intrude on someone's privacy. Anna deserves tremendous credit for putting on a brave face to attend, many of us wouldn't have the strength to do what she did and subject herself to the prying cameras waiting for her. Hats off to you Anna, you did it with grace and a mother who does anything for her kids, I admire you.

  83. They covered that topic when Amy went to Nashville on the Season finale last Summer!

    ReplyDelete
  84. They were not married at the time of Amy's birth.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Amy's mother wasn't married to her dad when Amy was born so she gave her the Duggar name instead of her paternal name.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Bring them back to tv. Let Josh get his help. Let the rest.of us love this family. If its true what he did. God is dealing with him.

  87. All the best to Amy and Dillon. The little flower girls are adorable.

  88. @Anonymous

Because her Mom's last name is Duggar and her parents were not married at the time of her birth. Plenty of kids get their Mom's last name, and plenty of married women keep their surname so really not that uncommon these days.
