Jessa: A Parent's Most Important Role

What is one trait you hope your children will inherit from Ben?
Jessa: Most of all, I hope that our kids will inherit Ben’s love for people and his compassionate heart. His heart truly aches when he sees people going through a difficult time, and he hurts with the hurting. He is especially alert and attentive to the emotions of others. Often times, he’s calling people on the phone or writing notes of encouragement and support to those in need. His love for people is so deep and genuine. He desires to share the hope of Christ with those who are lost. He draws inspiration from studying the Bible, and he has the heart of an evangelist. His heroes are men like Charles Spurgeon and Paul Washer, and he is constantly reading books and listening to sermons. His passion for the Gospel is so inspiring, and he continually motivates me to draw closer to Christ!

  1. I strongly urge you both to read Muscle and a Shovel by Michael Shank if you haven't already. Best book i have ever read outside of the Bible and it truly speaks the truth of God's word. Reads like a novel but is a true story of a man on his journey to salvation.

  3. It was just a rumor. There is nothing new in the news about it except to say that it is not true. They have never met. His mom just knows her parents.

  9. I don't know if it's true if Anna moved to Florida or not, but I hope and pray she did. It just seems to me that would be best for her and her children.

  10. Just wondering ....when does a discussion become gossip?

  11. Anna has a hard road to walk. Her decisions in the future will impact all their lives. Prayer is the only answer. She has been a devoted wife and mother and no fault should be laid at her feet concerning this sad, sad situation she finds herself in. God will show her the correct path to follow. I have no doubt she is more than capable of sorting this all out with God's love in her corner. "No weapon formed against her will prosper". That includes wagging tongues! Her children are beautiful and love their mom. This will be a great source of comfort for her in these trying times. Heads up Anna their are many praying for you.
