Amy Shows Support for Anna Duggar

On Sunday evening, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and all of their children (minus Josh), in-laws, and grandchildren watched as cousin Amy Duggar married Dillon King at Horton Farms in Gravette, Arkansas.

"They've been through so much and it means the world to me that they want to come to my wedding even though their whole world is turned upside down right now," Amy told PEOPLE Magazine

Amy met with her extended family before the ceremony. "I gave [Anna] the biggest hug ever when I first saw her," said the new bride, who reported that Anna looked gorgeous. "She said she's very happy for me."

To show her love and support, Amy left handwritten cards on Anna and Michelle's chairs.

"I gave Aunt Michelle a gift certificate for her favorite restaurant so she and Uncle Jim Bob can have a really sweet date night. And I felt like Anna needed to be pampered so I got her a mani-pedi certificate to a nail salon. I feel like she needs that."

  8. I am praying for your family. Your family should not have to pay for one man's sin. I am so sorry that Anna and the children are having to go thru this as well....I pray that Josh allows God to heal him completely and heal his marriage. I know that God has something so special planned for your family. If I never get to meet any of you in person....I know that when the Lord returns, I will get to meet everyone of you! I will continue to support you and your family and will keep reading your blogs and posts! Thank you for your commitment to the Lord and staying as strong as can be expected!

    1. I absolutely agree with Tammy! No family should have to go through this because of the mistakes and sins of one family member! Josh can get forgiveness for his sins just as anyone else can. Even tho social media will never forgive him, God will! I agree that Josh needs help, which he's getting. Please be fair, and don't blame the whole family for what Josh did!

  9. They should of kept the show going! This trauma to the family, is and has happened in familys all over the world! Why not show how a Christian family continues on during this time! That's the prob with reality tv, its not real if the real life isn't shown! Perhaps others could of gained strength in how this family is dealing! Just my thought

    2. I wonder why they do not find another tv Channel to air their show. I bet Hallmark or Insp would.

  16. That was a wonderful thimg for Amy to do. Speaking for experience and unless you have been there you cant speak. I stayed with my cheater, nothing what Josh did but just as bad. And our marriage has lost so much. We have changed and figured out a lot but we lost a lot and there are things that we will never get back. No matter who you are and your faith is it's hard and she may hurt every day like I do just because she feels like her beliefs are keeping her with him and that is sad. I feel for you Anna. Anyone that stays with a cheater loses something and never really is happy anymore. It's forever there you just can live each day for it is. You have four beautifu children just focus on them for now and when you are ready then and only then start with the marriage. He is the one that has the problems and he has to honest with you. I don't know if counseling will help you it didn't for me I was and am hurt to deep. I wish I could talk with you sometimes having someone that has experienced it is helpful, there is no judging or pressure. You will be in my thoughts.

  17. WHY CAN'T ANOTHER NETWORK PICKUP THIS SHOW " LIFE GOES ON" AND JUST ELIMINATE JOSH. IT IS A VERY GOOD SHOW AND WHY SHOULD THE CAST AND THE AUDIENCE SUFFER. WE LOVE THIS SHOW....BRING IT BACK.....

  20. Everyone looks so nice! Especially Michelle, I really like that dress. She looks classy.
I can't help but wonder if Jill is expecting again(and Israel is getting older)?
I am glad the family is there to support Anna. She also looks nice. I hope she is focused on what matters the most, her children. And to know none of this is her fault. She is an amazing woman. But when your spouse decides to cheat or sin, it their doing and choice. Not her fault at all. It would not of mattered who he was married to, the enemy will do anything to get a foot hold on someone. Lust, porn is his ultimate weapons. It is sad but true. Temptation sucks but the pleasing the Lord should be our number one desire. It would keep so much sin out of our lives. Anna is such an inspiring and beautiful woman. She can get through this. Even if she does leave Josh, God can provide the strength and wisdom to overcome the devastation. If you believe, he will give you double for your trouble. A better, trustworthy husband..( it could be someone new or Josh made new). It will happen. You did not deserve this. He may have had this come to light or so to say rip him down to rebuild him. He knew he wasn't going to stop on his own. Now he can begin to work on him (hopefully he repents). It will work out for the best.

  51. The picture of Amy and Anna hugging is so sweet. I feel so sad for Anna going through such heartbreak and betrayal. And Amy for having her wedding tainted with her cousin's scandals. Josh really messed up this family's image? How will the others find life partners willing to be tied to such scandal? Its all so sad.

  59. It's so nice to know that Amy pampered those two even on her own special day! The media (including People magazine) are as quick to shred them to pieces as they are to build them up. But I'm glad they know how to keep on keeping on in spite of it and that they were able to enjoy themselves despite the recent chaos.

  60. How wonderful of Amy to think of others on her big day!! This is such a great example of how Christians families should act. Never been a big Amy fan but with this I just started really appreciating her. God bless this wonderful family. I just can not understand why another network has not picked up this family's show?! We are missing them sooo much!

  62. I hope Anna knows that she is not obligated to attend every Duggar family function if she doesn't feel like it. I hope they give her breathing room to be alone if she needs to be. I'd rather see her with her own family, out of the limelight.
