  4. I hope their first kiss is not awkward as Josh and Annas and Annas sister, i wonder if they look back and giggle a bit. Wonder how long it took them to get the hang of it.How embarrassing for their inexperience to be filmed for the whole world to see.

  5. I know this is way off topic, but these poor kids look like they are really suffering from painfull acne. They have the money to go to a Dermotologist or try Pro-activ.Im not saying this to be rude, I just really care for these kids and its got to bother them.Having extreme acne in my family i do know that there is alot of help out there these days with so many options. There is no reason to suffer like that at this day an age, espically if you can afford the best treatments.

  6. Josh looks soooooooo proud when he comments on their thousands of guests. Anyone else think that? Not trying to be rude. I guess it takes one to know one. Anna's comment is my favorite. Anna's sweet. Thanks Lille & Ellie for the awesome blog! I want to meet Y'all some day!

  8. This is one of the very best things about the Duggars that their is no fooling around but they all know what love and marriage are and to remain pure for that God given cause. This sets me free from a lot of the nonsense in life. Now I just go about my everyday living without being stressed by any out of place feelings because I am that much more assured of exactly what feelings are to be fulfilled and which have absolutely not meaning or function in my life, from watching the Duggars! It's true!

  9. When Jim Bob makes the comment that Derrick is looking forward to after the wedding he implies that only males enjoy the physical side of marriage. This is unfair and untrue and does not place value on the woman.

    1. Please stop being so critical of everything they say and do. They are not perfect. And neither do I think he's out of line here

  10. My husband and I chose not to kiss at our wedding. First kiss is nobody's business! :) It was really special to be in private. <3

    1. So true, why would you want your first awkward kiss be so public for all to judge.

  11. Lily and Ellie: Can you please get the video from Jill and Derick on Fox and Friends. That would be so awesome. I'm sure a lot of us missed it as we had no idea. I usually watch that show, but of course, today I didn't. Thanks so much.

  12. I think grandma has a lot of common sense, marrying someone you have never been alone with is something I could just not imagine...with all respect, I cannot understand anyone would make that choice.

  13. Thought it was a peculiar question to ask a father regarding his daughter's nuptuals. Some things are better left asking the little siblings....LOL

  16. I must agree with the responses of Jim Bob statement about after the wedding. Seems disrespectful of his little girl and rather crude to say such a thing.
I have noticed the skin concerns too and especially with Jessa. There are treatments and using the better quality makeups on the market or going without foundation to let your skin breath sure helps. I am certain being in front of the camera the stage makeup used is very brutal to their skin.
Very glad the wedding will be shown and sure hope I can see it. You tube has been problematic lately wanting payment to view the episodes by those that recorded them. I am unable to have TLC in a cable package with the cost involved here. People spend over $100 a month for cable for only some of the channels and that is not in the budget for us.
I have missed most of the episodes this season so far and rely on the recaps here.

  17. Grandma is right. Interesting how grandma let her adult children do as they wish even if it was different.

  18. This is opposite of my childhood. Then there was not any talk like this. The Duggars are healthier.

  19. It is a fun show but I am a single person and I don't want xxx on the brain. Sometimes I wonder if I am doing the right thing for myself to keep up with this program. Something a bit dryer might be better for me.

  20. Agree. Something really odd about planting a first kiss with everyone and his brother as the audience- kind of twisted in a way to be honest. What if a bride and groom felt uncomfortable with this tradition? Is this a common tradition in the US? Seems like a bit controlling to force people to kiss in front of a huge audience when they've barely been holding hands? Duggars - rethink this or at least give young people a choice to save it for when they are on their own- more normal.

  21. @AnonymousGood point! Not that "IT" is something to be ashamed about or swept under the rug, but it should not be talked about jokingly like this on a family friendly show. Single or not, we do not need to be thinking about other people's private husband and wife time. I remember when Josh and Anna were married and the cameras followed them right up to the hotel room. So embarrassing and inappropriate!

  22. @AnonymousNo, it's not common for main stream US, but fairly common in very conservative Christian circles. Weddings in general are something I think our culture should rethink. Ditch the glam. Just get married and put a down payment on a house instead. Don't feel like you have to invite everybody (or anybody). Don't kiss if you'd rather not have every see it!!
