A Blog About the Duggar Family
By Lily and Ellie
Nice to see the brothers helping out. Their wives will be very lucky, extra help in the kitchen is always so helpful. Some dangerous moments there but im sure Michelle has it all under control. Boys are boys, I know..Thanks for sharing again, its always fun to see their lives. Thank you
I love to see parents doing things with their kids. I do hope Michelle gets a chance to watch this video because that roughhousing over the stove can be dangerous.
I love it how one of the boys said "Yep, that's true. Amen".Lol
great that she is teaching them! boys are usually great cooks! looks like they were having fun when they were roughhousing over the stove! They looks like good buddys!
I'm glad that they are not only teaching the girls to cook, but the boys, too. Does anyone have an idea of what they were making? I'm just curious :)
To Anonymous April 19, 2013 @ 4:00 PM:I think they are making the Cinncinati Chili from the other episode.
Justin and James are so sweet
I am glad that the boys are learning how to cook as well.
It is great to include kids in cooking/food prep activities. However, I was very nervous seeing kids so close to the fire on the stove, and play-fighting next to some hot, steaming pots. That can be very dangerous.
Michelle, as a Mother, should bear the responsibility as the chief cook and bottle washer in the family. Whenever Michelle decided cooking for her family was too much for her, that is when Michelle should have put up the stop sign for more children. Children belong to parents, not "older ones."
I have seen Mrs. Duggar working alongside her kids. She didn't just dump the responsibilities on them. And, really, we don't have to get in a huff, just cause she calls the kids "little ones", and, "older ones". I think we need not be so judgmental. And they make sure EACH child gets one-on-one time. The kids are not raising the kids. If they were, I think we would see it in the outcome of the kids. They all seem to know Mom and Dad in their own individual way,and love and respect them in their own individual way. It is so precious seeing Mrs. Duggar involve her kids in different things. Each child has a different talent or certain thing they enjoy doing. And in a family their size, there are so many more opportunities to help.
