Duggars Return in 32 Days

Mark your calenders for the season premiere of 19 Kids and Counting, airing Tuesday, September 2, at 9PM ET PT/8PM CT on TLC.

Following Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's exciting engagement finale on 19 Kids and Counting this spring, the new season picks up with the happy couple planning for their big day. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar start the emotional journey of giving away their first daughter in marriage, as Jill and Derick plan their rapidly approaching nuptials. From dress shopping to cake tasting, it's all hands on deck as the engaged pair prepare to say their "I dos" in front of more than 1,000 of their closest friends and family. But this happy occasion is bittersweet as the family starts to realize what giving away Jill will mean for their close-knit clan.

Also this season, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald continue to grow closer, as their courtship takes an unexpected turn when Ben makes a move to live closer to Jessa. Jim Bob and Michelle celebrate 30 years of marriage as Jill and Derick prepare their new home together with the help of the family. The newly engaged couple also tends to Derick's mom, Cathy, as she bravely battles cancer. And after their first year in Washington, D.C., Josh and Anna Duggar and their three kids decide it may be time to make a few changes in their own growing family.

Leading up to the premiere, catch the Duggars reacting to encore airings of their favorite 19 Kids and Counting episodes as part of TLC's "Dishing with the Duggars." Beginning Monday, August 25, and airing weekdays from 1-3 PM ET PT/12-2 PM CT for three weeks straight, viewers can go back in time with America's favorite supersized family as they laugh together and reminisce about some of their favorite moments, from births and holidays to clothing choices and family vacations.

New episodes of 19 Kids and Counting will air through November. This season, TLC's 19 Kids and Counting will celebrate its 150th episode. Including the five original specials and seasons of 17 Kids and Counting and 18 Kids and Counting, the Duggars have starred in more than 200 episodes.

Duggars Returning to TLC!

This just in: New episodes of 19 Kids and Counting return to TLC on Tuesday, August 28th, at 9PM EST/8PM CST! Also on August 28th is Josiah Duggar's sweet sixteen.

Among other events, the second segment of season six will feature the wedding of Priscilla Keller (Anna's older sister) to David Waller.

Here is an update for all of our eager readers: We have not yet been notified of the start date of the new season. There is a rumor that "19 Kids and Counting" will premiere on January 22nd. However, TLC currently has other shows planned for that day. We will keep you posted.

Only fifteen days until the Duggars return to TLC! And June 7th is also the day that their second book, A Love that Multiplies, hits the stores!
Do you know what also happens on June 7th? The Duggars kick off their 2011 book tour at Bookends in Ridgewood, New Jersey! In a period of six days, Jim Bob and Michelle and the kids will visit nine bookstores in the following cities to meet their fans and sign books. Duggars Return in Less than 4 Weeks!

Grab your TV remote --the Duggars are returning in less than four weeks! The first show of the season is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7th, at 9PM! Your emails to TLC must have worked because the timing is earlier than last season. We will keep you updated, just in case the date changes, but for now you can plan on the 7th.

Season Finale Recap

On tonight's episode of "19 Kids and Counting," Duggars and Bates: 37 and Counting...

• Jonathan and his sister, Jennifer, foreign exchange students from Indonesia, were visiting the Duggars. Jana and John-David met Jonathan on their recent mission trip to Southeast Asia. 
• Before Jonathan returned home, Jim Bob and the rest of the kids played a prank. The name of the game? Snipe-hunting. It goes something like this: everyone grabs a plastic bag and runs around after dark, shouting and trying to attract made-up creatures called snipes. "It's kind of cruel," admitted Jessa. But Jonathan enjoyed himself. 
• At a family meeting, Jim Bob and Michelle announced that Gil and Kelly Bates and their eighteen children would be arriving in a few hours. The rest of their message was drowned out by cheers from the kids.
• Josie, Jordyn, and James stayed home with Mom while the rest of the group headed to the George Washington Carver monument. "It's important to learn about great people so that you can set your sights to become all that God wants you to be," Jim Bob told TLC.
• When everyone returned home that evening, Duggars and Bates began dropping like flies. In total, the two families have thirty-seven kids, and the vast majority came down with the virus that the Bates had brought all the way from the eastern hills of Tennessee. (Click here for Kelly Bates' blog post about the epidemic.)
• How did Josie take the virus? Jim Bob and Michelle were very concerned for their preemie's health and knew that she could easily wind up back in the hospital if exposed to too many germs. But by the grace of God, Josie pulled through!
• No small thanks to Grandma Duggar's homemade medicines, the Bates were soon feeling a bit better and ready to depart. 
• Gil and Kelly and their kids pulled out with an extra vehicle, a bus that Jim Bob and Michelle gave to the Bates family, no strings attached. "Me and Jim Bob had a wrestling match, but he insisted we take it with us," said Gil, touched by the Duggars' generosity.
