  11. I don't know where else I can express this, but I used to be pro-choice. Since having a baby in November, I can say with 100% certainty that I am now pro-life. I look at my little boy and can't imagine not having him, under any circumstance. I have been happily married for over 4 years now and hope to be blessed with many more children. I credit the Duggars with being the major influence on my now reversed stance.

  12. I wonder how many lives those terminations have saved?
I wonder why humans are the only animals that their God seems to love - and why it is ok to kill others for food/fun?
    They stand for 'some life'.

  14. I what about church? Did the family skip church to attend this rally? How can God bless something that takes the place of gathering together to worship Him?

    1. Going to church has nothing to do with salvation. God doesn't say go to church and you will be saved. He says believe in Jesus and repent. That is all church doesn't save you

  15. For all the ppl that stand for life.....we need to adopt kids out of our foster care system. Our system make no logical decisions and its only getting worse. Another words put you actions where your mouth is. If you dont want ppl to abort their babies and they cant take care of them.....WHO's going to??? Talk is cheap

  16. Hi Lily and Ellie,
I really like the fact that you guys have created this blog but I was wondering if you knew of any possible ways to talk to Michelle or Jim Bob or any Duggar. E.g. email. I saw in an episode that they said that people email them questions but I've never found out what it was. I know you are very busy and only reply if you can :)
    Thank you, God Bless

  18. Does this law as it stands now, force any of the Duggars to have to have an abortion? No, it doesn't. Changing the law, however, WOULD force someone not to have one.

  19. @AnonymousDo the duggars have a contact email?

  20. A woman has a choice and the right to do to whatever she wants with her body. There are many circumstances, and reasons as to why things, such as this, happen. You can't expect to know what goes on every women's lives, and why they have to terminate their pregnancies. They're all on a different journey and whatever they decide should be respected. Not judged. A good Christian does not judge. It's quite a contradiction if they do.

  21. Are the Duggar's adamantly opposed to any form of birth control? (Not all married couples are able to support a huge family, or perhaps they simply want only one or two children.)

  22. I'm so glad we live in a Democracy where we all get to have our own opinions and do what we think is best for ourselves and our lives. I understand why people are anti abortion, I would not choose to have one myself, but I would never force someone else to continue a pregnancy they did not want to continue. A woman's life is important, her choices need to be respected, so in that sense, #Istand4life, a woman's life. God bless.

  23. The people that irk me are the ones that say abortion is okay for rape, incest and for the life of the mother. And out the other side of their mouth they say all life is created by God. And out of that third mouth they say God doesn't make mistakes. So, out of these three scitzo personas, which one is it? If God doesn't make mistakes, He allowed pregnancy due to rape and incest. If God doesn't make mistakes, He allowed the mother to have a life threatening medical condition. It is either / or. Either you believe all abortion is wrong OR you believe abortion is okay. You can't use God as an option if you believe abortion is okay if rape, incest, or the life of the mother is at stake. You are either / or ....for or against. No gray space if you use "all life is created by God and God doesn't make mistakes." Either / or. Period..

  24. Forcing someone not to have one(abortion)-isn't that the point? I was forced to have one as a teenager. If it hadn't been an option my daughter would be alive. I stand for LIFE!

  25. It would protect an unborn baby from being murdered.

  26. I have very conflicting thoughts on abortion. As an adoptive mother, I find this procedure that deliberately terminates a pregnancy completely appalling. However, I also feel that the words "Right to Life" mean more than just the right to be born. It should mean the right to a good life, a life with loving parents who can provide for the physical and emotional needs of the child. Yes, adoption is an alternative to abortion, but should our government force desperate women to make a choice of either carrying a baby to term and place the child for adoption, or keep the baby even though they haven't the financial or emotional stability to raise it? In a perfect world, people would practice birth control to avoid unwanted pregnancy, whether married or not, and those methods would be 100% foolproof. However, our world falls far short of perfection and there are countless suffering children as a result.

  29. I stand for life but this is the mothers and baby's life.

I against abortion but I do see a side to having one. Yes there is adoption but more likely the baby would end up in the social care and living on the state. I was first to have one when I was hemoriging and the pregnancy was all but gone. I didn't have much choice I was 17 and very ill my mum and the dr kind of railroad the dicision. I still regret it and question maybe the pregnancy would have carried on and I would have my much wanted baby. 15 years later 9pregancies 3live births and one infant death at (17months old) I just can't say I understand abotion if you didn't want to have a child birth control is a must.

  30. I don' think you can compare the Holacust to abortion.
    1. A fetus is only viable after 20 weeks of gestation. If the abortion happens before that time, it's not murder because the baby wouldn't be able to survive outside of its mother anyway. The Holacust killed 11 million people who were already alive. They could speak, think, feel, eat and survive outside of their mothers' womb
    2. No one gets an abortion just for kicks or because they feel like it. An abortion happens because a woman can't take care of a baby or because she was raped or because her life could be in danger or for whatever reason. The Holacust happened because of ignorance and idealism

You can't compare the two. You just can't.

  31. I don't think the government should have a right to dictate what I do with my body. #Istand4women

    ReplyDelete
  32. This is why we need to separate government and relgion. If abortion is kept legal (which I totally think it should), the Duggars' rights to have children won't be taken away. They'd be able to keep on living their lives as they please. However, if abortion is made illegal, thousands, if not millions of lives could be impacted in a negative way.

  33. What if a woman who lives in a one bedroom apartment, I crime-ridden neighborhood, who is addicted to drugs gets pregnant. She wants to have an aboirtion but wait, it's illegal!! So she has the baby and he or she is beaten and abused and neglected and all because abortion was illegal. Who stands up for that life?

  36. I Stand For Life:) God Bless everyone...we must never give up the fight to protect the young and innocent. Life that cannot be responsible for helping themselves is all of our responsibility as a spiritual, loving, empathetic and compassionate race. We have been given the tools...lets put them to work...in Jesus' name...Amen.
