Josh Duggar Speaks at Pep Rally

Josh Duggar spoke at the Patriot Voices pep rally to kick off the 2015 March for Life. In the following YouTube video, listen to Josh introduce Senator Rick Santorum and reflect on the many weeks the Duggars spent campaigning for Santorum in 2012.

  1. Excuse me, but this Right to Live rally is beginning to receive too much screen space on this family blog. It is about the family and their home life, not their personal politics. The family can post these things on their personal pages. Please update on the kids we never hear from. There are a lot of questions about the surprise in Joe in going to this Christian "college' . We would like to hear from the kid himself as to why he went when no indication was seen or heard that this would be HIS desire, Josiah, yes, but not Joe. Quit making this page an anti abortion website as this was not the intention of this screen. "For it" or "against it", it's just not the place for it.

    1. Since this is not your blog, you don't get to decide what is covered. I happen to like the variety here but it is really up to the owners. Take or leave it. That is your choice!

  3. "The government is not God, God alone is God." When Jesus was on the cross it became dark.
When all the people turn their backs on God it will become dark. We need God in our lives.

  4. While I personally find abortion to be unthinkable, the suffering of innocent children is even more so. Countless numbers of neglected children are at the mercy of dysfunctional parents who should never have conceived in the first place, and there aren't enough families willing to adopt children now languishing in our foster care system. It is one thing to "stand for life" before birth, but what about after? The Duggars should take their stand a step further, set an example, and adopt a child in need of a loving home.

  5. Wow!! Josh is a GREAT SPEAKER! He is very articulate! How smart that he has gone to Washington DC to be an advocate for preserving our values and for Life! It is crucial that people in prominent positions start to speak up because the minority in our country is using the media and our government to destroy our American values. It is not just that the Left is "pro choice", they are actually Promoting and encouraging the abortions, and that goes hand in Hand with the socialism they are promoting and the anti Christianity but pro Muslim curriculum in the schools- how is that allowed, that they erase all references to any Christian value or prayer, but yet they allow abortion education and Muslim traditions education in the Common Core? Did anyone hear our presidents last speech was packed with Communist ideals, people are not paying enough attention to what is happening, at our values being attacked and our freedoms being eroded. Thank you Josh Duggar for bravely standing up for what's right in America!

  6. Jerimiah 1: 4-6 4 Now the word of the LORD came to me saying, 5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." 6 Then I said, "Alas, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth."… Just think of it, before people were formed in the womb God knew them, I believe God has intentions for people that he supports when he makes babies in the womb. We need to have a greater faith to cooperate with God's plans for peoples lives and not take it upon ourselves to end those lives. Also I think that people set their standards of care so high they think they can't meet them. If people were efficient at providing just the minimum needs to infants there would likely be enough to go around and no reason to say there is not enough to care.

  7. It's true that there are so many children suffering in the world but abortion is killing a human being, God clearly states ''Thou shalt not kill''. That means, No Exceptions.
We shouldn't judge who should or shouldn't have conceived, it isn't what we should worry about, we should worry about those who DID conceive and help the ones who are having trouble as well as before they conceive. Step 1: Abort Abortion!
About adoption, My family adopted a little boy and I happen to know so many families who want badly to adopt but are having so much trouble because of complications. Some of them are couples who can't conceive and want children. I think there are many people who wan to adopt, it's just that the system is so complicated. I was only 3, but i remember 12 years ago when we adopted my little brother from France, my parents had to go back and forth so many times from here to France and it was a long complicated process. There are so many kids in need of adoption, maybe it would help if it were easier to adopt them...

  8. @AnonymousAdopt----from the United States! I'm concerned should any Duggars adopt; the child would be from El Salvador.

    1. Children are all God's children. They all deserve adoption. Why would you care where they are from?

  9. From my research is appears that Crown College is a real college. Maybe I am wrong on this, but it seems it is accredited. I have seen one person comment on another thread that it is not accredited and then on this thread it is called a "college". Also why would someone assume that Joseph has not had a desire to go to college. Has anyone ever asked him point blank if he wanted to do that? Also I have never heard Josiah mention going to a college himself. I have heard people speculate on here that maybe he was going to do that a while back when the Duggars were speaking at a college, but have not heard from him or someone who actually knows that he wants to do that. That being said he MAY want to, I just don't think either Joseph or Josiah (before this point) have made comments either way and so it seems silly so assume one way or the other.

  10. Annonymous. The children in the US that are adoptable are not in danger of child abuse. Abortion ends a pregnancy for someone who doesn't want to be pregnant. Adoption is for the child who lost parents. It has nothing to do with abortion. We don't have orphanages anymore. Most kids are only in foster care cause they ran out of relatives to stay with; grandma passed away. Most in foster care still have ties to their parents. They did just fine showing their conviction by giving birth to the children they conceived. It is very dangerous when people start assigning families as dysfunctional. Perhaps the people who are for choice should be adopting all the foster kids that are adoptable. There are far fewer adoptable than the total number. Fostering is temporary.

  11. Anonymous- why is the life of a suffering child less valuable? How many people have risen above their life circumstances and impacted the world for good? There are plenty of families willing to adopt babies. It is harder for OLDER children to find adoptive families. If mothers put their babies up for adoption at birth there would be no problem finding parents. It is when the child enters the system at age 3, 4, 5 with a history of abuse and neglect that it is more difficult. Many people do not feel uniquely called to handle the emotional turmoil of those children. They just want to raise a baby up right from the start and I think that is completely reasonable.

  13. Response to Jamie- I am an adoptive mother and know very well the difficulties in finding homes for older children. In my perfect world, people who don't want or can't support a child would practice effective birth control. If they do conceive, they would choose adoption soon after birth rather than abortion. However, the world isn't perfect and not everyone agrees when life begins. You can't legislate one religious group's idea of morality. I am not convinced that if abortion were criminalized, there would be necessarily less of it or more people willing to choose adoption. Desperate women will resort to desperate measures, as my grandmother did 80 years ago and suffered irreparable damage. I am holding the Duggars feet to the fire regarding adoption because I find their pro life stance hypocritical. If anyone should be "uniquely called" to adopt an older child, I would think it would be them. They are committed to spread their religious beliefs and testimony on raising children to the world. Why not change the life of a troubled child and offer a permanent home?

  14. anon #1 @ 3:41 pm - i too would like to know why joseph is going to crown college, but its only because i'm curious as to what he's studying there. and unless joseph has a social media page or the duggars release a video of him talking about it, i dont see anyone getting info any other way. remember, the duggars only release, or allow to be released, certain info/pictures/videos to the public. even though they are in the public eye, i suspect (as a parent myself) that they limit the amount of 'exposure' the minor children receive (joy-anna down to josie). i notice that lily & ellie strictly adhere to the requests of the duggars as to what & when to report info, which explains why they are privy to info we the general public aren't! (at least not yet)
with that being said, this blog is not run by any of the duggars. it's about the duggars, run by a mother/daughter team. since its lily & ellies blog, i think that gives them the right to determine how much 'screen space' they give any given subject.

    1. Does acceptance into Crown College require SAT's as colleges & universities in the USA do so? Or do Christian colleges get a pass re SAT's? If so, this is just wrong.

  15. The Duggars are pro life?Well, this week five (5) executions are scheduled all over the country. And I see no Duggar engaged in this injustice.
