Apparently, they did not retain anything they learned. JimBob was always asking if anyone spoke English!

ReplyDeleteWell, you can't expect anyone to learn enough to carry on a complete conversation or be able to ask any question in another language from just one session of learning. I know, I've studied Chinese.

ReplyDeleteI am glad they had a great time in Japan. It was nice to see mom Duggar with them. My husband was there in the service in 1955 and said it was a nice place then. I met the family in Ridgewood, NJ at a book signing a couple of years ago. They are a lovely, well behaved family. Especially with so many of them.
