5 Days Overdue

One year ago today, Derick Dillard proposed to Jill Duggar. They were married less than three months later (June 21st) and became pregnant about two weeks into their marriage. Now, the Dillards are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their son, whom they have affectionately nicknamed "Baby Dilly." He is five days overdue. We made another chart that shows the progression of Jill's baby bump for you to look at while you wait for Baby Dilly to make his debut.

  4. If Jessa really is pregnant like people are starting to suspect, and is waiting until Jill has her baby to make an announcement, I bet she's even more anxious for Baby Dilly to be born than Jill is!

  20. I know how anxious you and Derick must be. Remember God's timing is perfect. He is ALWAYS on time ~ NEVER late. Of course it 'might' help if Derick had a talk with his son ~ Baby Dilly you are being EVICTED!! It's time to come out and meet your Mommy and your Daddy ~ We love you and we've been waiting 9 long months to see you! God's Blessings <3
"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." Psalm 127:3-5 (KJV)

  37. If she got pregnant two weeks after they got married she isn't late yet, she isn't even due yet. Her due date should be about April 4th.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. She didnt get pregnant 2 weeks after their wedding, it was within days that she conceived

      Delete
    2. Due dates are calculated based on first day of last period not conception date. Therefore her last period would have been approximately two weeks prior to her wedding to get pregnant on her honeymoon which she did. Therefore she is late.

      Delete
    3. Nope. Cuz 2 weeks are automatically added to the gestation (which has been mentioned in several posts). Her due date would be 38 weeks from the time she actually conceived

  38. Will not be long!! Prayers for a speedy delivery and a healthy baby!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. thankfully, as a midwife, Jill knows that it's totally normal for first time moms to go "overdue", as the average amount of time is 41 + 1 :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I can´t wait to see him! :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Can't wait to see pictures of "baby dilly"
wishing you a safe and speedy delivery!!

  42. I am so thankful for Jill's openness about her due date. It is so nice to see someone in the public eye showing the world that it is okay to go past your due date. I went two weeks past my due date with my first pregnancy, now I'm pregnant with my second and only my husband and sister know my due date. People asking "when are you going to have that baby?" got so annoying! I pray that when Baby Dilly is ready to come out, Jill will have a simple, uncomplicated birth!

    1. Oh my goodness! I try to do that too. I'll just say the month that I'm due (was late with both my babies). Sadly that offends some people, but I get so tired of being watched like a pot of water waiting to boil!

  46. hope she at least takes a picture in same place right at start of labor with weeks and days and then when she is holding baby for his baby book/picture book.

  47. Babies come when they are ready (except in cases of extreme prematurity, obvs), therefore Baby Dilly is NOT overdue!

  56. When will they share the name?

    ReplyDelete
  57. This is Monday, 3/30/15, looks like our soon to be baby has dropped right much. Having been pregnant with a boy, they sure do get your belly way out there and leave you little room between the top of your thighs to belly and can be somewhat uncomfortable, but you know when you feel that life in you move, it is all so worth it..Praying a blessed delivery and a healthy little, baby Dilly. Have you guys chose a name for him yet? Can't wait to see this little fellow..May God bless you and hubby, during your labor and delivery..Remembering that God will not put more on us than we can bear, and I believe this in delivery and labor also..Be in touch and look so forward for you guys as well as with me..Thanks for allowing me to share this comment..Love and God Bless. Would love to meet each and everyone of you Duggars and all the new additions...

  59. Lily and Ellie, thank you for all the updates about Jill...some of us wake up everyday wondering if she has had the babe and your site is our way of finding out. Us fans really appreciate your thoughtfulness, and thanks again for this awesome site.Godbless to you and yours O:-) Sincerely, Natalia

  60. Awe, thanks for the progression chart...So cool! I was hoping y'all would do that for us.I pray she doesn't go to far over and that the baby doesn't get to big for her natural birth. I would feel so bad for her if she had to have a c-section.Now watch us fans start giving her tips to start contractions. In the old days they would say take a buggy ride... I don't see that happening, unless she has access to one lol :-)

  61. Very nice set of pictures. I'm sure Jill loves having these as a memory. I hope within a few short days she will be holding her baby boy.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Is Jill planning to have a home birth, or is she going to a hospital?
Also, will she be inducing labor if Baby Dilly doesn't come soon?

  63. I think Michelle was 40+5 with Jennifer. Do you think Michelle would be kind enough to share how long her pregnancies were previous to Jennifer? That would be really interesting! I wonder if there is a pattern/ whether there is a connection along the maternal line? I was 39+1 and my son was 40+0.
All the very best to Jill & Derick at the exciting time!

  79. To everybody who says she isn't overdue, she is...she went past her due date. Therefore she is overdue. However, that does not mean that it isn't okay if Baby Dilly comes late...he will come eventually on God's timing. =)

  80. The thing with newlyweds in particular is they have to go by her missed menstrual cycle (I guess everyone does technically) many of us actually know the conception date of our pregnancies. Example, I conceived on New year's eve and had my daughter September 17 she was "due" the 27th based on my cycle. Jill could have gotten pregnant any time in the first two weeks as someone above stated. So do we really trust that due date? They aren't written in stone obviously.

  81. Pray for health and safety of the baby boy and mother and well being of the father:

Loving Heavenly Father, creator of all things, Your Word says You created all things through Jesus Christ and You made all things good and perfect. You give life to all things. I thank You, that we all have conceived by Your grace and mercy. The baby(ies) in our womb is Your creation, thank You for Your precious gift.

Cover us, the baby in our womb and our family members with the Holy and Precious Blood of Jesus. We forgive all who have hurt us and rejected us in any manner.

Lord, guard this life that you have created and protect the mother/father God has chosen for this child, family members from all evil and dangers. You are our refuge and our fortress. For You, Lord, will give Your angels charge over us. My God, in You we put our trust. During this time of waiting, help us to guard this new life carefully and do nothing to hurt it in any way.

Lord, Your word also says, Truly You have formed my innermost being. You have woven me in my mothers womb. According to Your Word, let my baby grow normally with all its requirements fulfilled. Take away all complications from our baby and us. Grant us good health.

Lord Jesus, remain present with us all this time our baby grows and come into this world. Your Word says Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you. Please grant us all from this day forward a healthy pregnancy and normal delivery. Take away all blocks and barriers that could hinder this blessing in our lives. Lord I also pray that You lead all pregnant women who are reading this prayer to safe and normal delivery. All this We ask in the name of Jesus, who is Lord of Life, now and forever. Amen.

"Shall I bring you to the time of birth and not cause delivery?" says the LORD

  88. Your blog is always a day or more behind now. It is Monday night and we are viewing Sunday, March 29th. Come on, it is bad enough that TLC is 6 months behind, but not the blog as well. Even if you just write "thank you for viewing our blog, no news or update today. Please check back with us tomorrow". Acknowledge your viewers and appreciate the fact that they are checking in. It comes across unprofessional to not keep up with your blog.

Right now the Duggars and their fans are on "baby watch". It isn't like you have nothing to blog about!
