Baby Dilly Will Be Late

  1. There is no video. The Bates videos on their blog site work but the Duggars site videos are not there. Can you fix it?

  2. Heavenly Father,
We ask that You give Jill a safe and peaceful labor with no complications and pain, and that You give to her and Derick a healthy bouncing baby boy, and also that Jill has a speedy recovery in return.
    In Your Name, Amen!!!

  5. How does she plan to have the baby late? I get her point about not getting discouraged but is sounds very weird when your talking about having a baby.

  6. To all the naysayers who wrongly speculated the conception of Jill's pregnancy, I hate to say I told you so...but I'm gonna.

  7. Can't see the video! Good luck, Jill! I admire you for having the baby at home. But don't be afraid to go to the hospital if need be! Prayers from north Georgia!!!

  9. I cant see video, but I am glad she was not early. There were too many people online who tried to say she was already expecting at the wedding and even though her and her family and friends know the truth, it would have given them things to "bash" about and this way we don't have to listen to that all from "haters". My 1st one was 10 days late. I still wonder if she is carrying twins and keeping it a secret. She looks like she has a lot of baby(ies) in there.

    2. I doubt it. Twins usually come early.

    3. They already said Derrick was a big baby. I do worry about her going too long overdue, especially with a planned home birth. The risks of meconium aspiration are already there.

  19. Get as much rest as you can, Jill! The time is almost here and sleep will become a luxury, trust me. Enjoy this precious little guy and don't rush to have another one anytime soon. Children need all your love and attention, and I know you guys need time to spend on just him. So, here's hoping the best of everything for the three of you.

  20. I was 2 weeks early.... almost 3 months early. He decided to stay put until closer to his due date.

  21. Why do they always sell everything to People Magazine, which is a magazine that I would never
purchase or look at? I would be embarrassed to have it on my coffee table. Not exactly a Christian magazine or even fit for homeschoolers.

  26. I had to laugh when he tried to pronounce "midwifery". It's probably not a word he's ever had to use before!

  27. That is so cool that Jill is studying midwifery when she is about to have her little boy. I am so happy for her! I hope that the delivery goes well. I am glad that she is really calm that she has not yet had her child and that she will probably have him late.
    Love the show and blog!!
    God bless you all

  28. A due date is just an estimate. Baby's not actually late until 42 weeks.
    God's timing is always perfect.

  29. In regards to Susanna Keller - look at the mercy Jesus had with the woman taken in adultery - he said go your way and sin no more.

I think that banning her name from the show does more to discredit Christ's teachings.

You could even tell the camera that you don't love her sin, but you love Susanna.

I really think that would show the world Christ's love.

I do pray for your family often and wish you the best.

  38. They probably sell stories to People because many people who need to hear the Gospel message read People magazine. The unsaved aren't usually reading Christian magazines.

  39. Hay from Abbotsford!!!
I hope you HAVE the safest of safest, deliveries, and I can't wait to see him!!!!!! My Mother sipped Lavender Tea while she was giving birth, it helps with feelings of sickness, and it helps her by smelling the lovely fragrance too!!! GOD SPEED!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I've wondered that too. I think it has to do with telling their story truthfully rather than just let all the tabloids and other publications make things up. If the family gives access to People Magazine then they can be sure the articles are truthful. How many times have you seen false stories about the family on the internet. If I'm going to pick up People Magazine in a doctor's waiting room, I would rather read about the Duggars than all the others that appear in magazine. You can't ask for better role models - hopefully the wide audience the magazine reaches will be touched by the Duggar family's testimony.

  41. Please leave this baby boy intact, the way God made him...PERFECT!

  42. @Anonymous I have a few things to say about this, first when Susanna's baby was born, Jill was just starting her midwife lessons, so why would someone want a unlicensed midwife to deliver a baby? Second Jill lives in Arkansas and Susanna lives in Fla. Why would anyone want their midwife to live thousands of miles away? And last point, I refuse to believe that the family would not allow her, this article was just all lies to discredit the family.

  43. Congratulations Jill and Derrick. I will be praying that you have a safe delivery. Gods it timing is always best. You both are going to make wonderful parents.

  47. I think them telling the camera they don't love her sin but they love her is condescending. Just love her. Period. I'm sure they know a lot of sinners. They don't seem to speak on others sin in other situations. Or even their own. She is more than a person who did more than side hugs. Most of the world doesn't care when the baby comes. If it came 7 months in that is fine. A baby is a blessing.

  48. My wish is for a safe, healthy baby plus an easy labor and delivery for mom. As a fan I would love for the baby Dillard to be born on April 1st, as that is my baby.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thank You God for letting her go full term so it would stop the rumors. Which I'm sure rumors didn't bother her or Derrick because they know she got pregnant about 2 weeks after marriage. Give her an easy birth and healthy baby. God Bless Love your family! Can't wait to hear the good news.

  50. how long will jill wait. since she will not be going to a hospital and doing it at home. going past a certin time can be very dangerous? Praying for wisdom from God for a safe delivery?

  51. @Anonymous
I think it is a way to reach the lost. Many that do not know Jesus would not know that this is really a way of life and that is a blessing tothose that God is trying to reach.

  53. @Ruthie -- True. For those of us in big cities, midwifery is a foreign concept. I would have to look in a dictionary to know how to pronounce it. Can someone explain why do people prefer midwives to doctors? I assume it is to save money or because they are far from a hospital? If given the opportunity, I can't imagine choosing not to have state of the art medical assistance available in case of emergency.

  56. For those who hold virginity until marriage as a badge of honor- would Jill's baby be any less of a blessing had it been conceived prior to the wedding? I don't think so and I have a hunch God wouldn't either.

  57. As for PEOPLE ragazine........I used to subscribe to it for years. It was the only magazine I would read, but as of the last couple years it has taken a 180. It has become filth. As far as the Duggars being in this trash to possibly reach the lost .....they hardly speak of Gods word anymore. It's all about jill and Jessa and look at me, look at me!

  58. I am very surprised to still see comments expressing concern about Jill's date of conception, and how that has been, and still might be, misconstrued. The formula used to calculate a due date is readily available online, and it is actually very simple. For anyone who might be confused when Jill now says that she is "40 weeks and 2 days" along, or if you want to explain this to someone speculating about this on another website, here is the calculation: A baby's due date is officially computed by adding 266 days to the date of conception. However, because most women do not know exactly when they conceived, this is more often calculated by adding 280 days to the date her last period began - which is two weeks earlier. So, even though Jill says she has been pregnant for 40 weeks, she has really only been expecting for 38 weeks. To compute when Jill conceived, and silence any naysayers out to damage her reputation, you can work this formula backwards. Jill was really 38 weeks, and 2 days along on March 27th. So she has actually been pregnant for (38 X 7) + 2 = 268 days as of the 27th - which is 26 days in March, 28 in February, 31 in January, 31 in December, 30 in November, 31 in October, 30 in September, 31 in August, and 30 in July (26 + 28 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 = 268 days) So "Baby Dilly" was conceived in early July, well after Jill and Derick were married. I sincerely hope that this quiets the rumours otherwise, and helps those speculating about this issue to understand that Jill truly is a blessed example of a young woman who honestly lives the principles that she believes and holds dear.
