Duggar Fun Facts

Did you Know...
  • Reading is one of the Duggars' favorite travel activities. Each of the younger children has an older reading buddy to learn from. For example, seven-year-old Johannah teams up with five-year-old Jennifer.
  • The Dr. Oz Show is one of Grandma Duggar's favorite programs.
  • Jim Bob and Michelle love having their little ones join them in bed at night to cuddle.
  • According to the Duggars:
    • Josiah is the funniest kid
    • Jennifer is the drama queen
    • Johannah is the pickiest eater
    • Jackson is the troublemaker
*Priscilla Waller (Anna's sister) and her husband, David, welcomed their first child early Saturday morning. Paul William weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces at birth, and both he and Priscilla are healthy and happy. Visit the family's website to view photos.

  1. Great facts. Thanks for sharing. I am so grateful for Grandma Duggar as an example. She is a loving, full-of-faith woman and I love it that she wears pants and watches tv. My dh and I love to cuddle our little ones in bed. I did not know Johanna was considered a picky eater. I would not want to label any of my children "troublemaker" though. Jackson is a cute boy.

  5. I had to stop Jackson recently from poking a group of kids with a stick. He is a typical boy, but also one of the friendliest boys they have.

  6. I'd never think Jennifer the drama Queen. She seems so serene.

Wow. 9lb 11. That is pretty big. Congratulations David and Priscilla.

  9. I know I got grossed out by Anna overseas saying more than twice she was trying really hard to get pregnant. My family is not near as conservative, but we don't publish we are having "relations."

  10. So Dr. Oz is "one of Grandma's favorite programs," indicating Grandma watches way more than one. Ahhhh, I just knew somebody would come out of the Duggar closet one day!

  13. I once heard Gramdma Duggar speak about grief. Having lost her husband and the emotions that follow. I would love for her to write about her own experiences and how she get through it. She can help so many readers.

    Thank you

  14. Congratulations to Priscilla and David! Was he born by Cesarean section, since he was so big?

I enjoy any kind of Duggar facts and trivia. It's fun getting to know more about them individually!

  15. The Duggars don't watch TV. Grandma Duggar however, isn't one of Jim Bob and Michelle's kids. She's an adult and can do as she wishes. (We know they own a TV, bc of the episode when Michelle went on The View.) It seems that Jim Bob and Michelle are honoring Grandma Duggar in this way.

  17. Grandma has her own part of the home. She can watch what she wants, when she wants. She is very sweet, always enjoy talking with her. She introduces herself as Grandma Duggar, never a first name. Very precious

  19. Anonymous 6:44 PM,

Your comment made me realize I don't even KNOW Grandma Duggar's first name! :-)

  20. Well Grandma isn't a Duggar child, I'm sure she isn't under Michelle & Jim Bobs thumb! She is certainly old enough to decide if/when/how much television she wants to watch.

I don't believe in labeling children. I believe it chips away @ self-identity.

9lbs 11oz is on the bigger side, however unless mom has an underdeveloped pelvis (as a young teen would) or if she is very small, as in under 100lbs, there is no need to consider a c-section. Womens bodies are meant to birth babies. :)
