  8. 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 ESV / 263 helpful votes, Our Lord and Savior, in fact, in His word wrote that singleness is the most honored, highest position to be in to worship our Lord. The cult of the Duggars, Bates, Kellers, etc. leave these verses out of their ministries.

"I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord."

    Anonymous,

The Duggars/Bates/Kellers, are following as closely as they can the instructions and wisdom from God. I must say that God does impress different things on different individuals, and who knows maybe singleness is meant for you. God does have a plan for each of us... in the mean time I am sure we all have a desire to get married some day.

There are also seasons, of singleness that God gives. For some people its a few years, others its for their time on this earth.

Have you never seen a married couple work together on a vision that was given to them by God? There are many wonderful examples!

Please don't condemn people to a cult just because there were given a different vision from God than you. (Or see things differently).

Lets not let Satan use us, to divide Christians!

Lets keep looking to God for our personal direction and guidance!
    Sincerely, A Concerned Christian

  10. This video brought tears to my eyes, and touches my heart. So many families now days are training their children to be selfish, to sit around and eat junk food and play video games and watch movies and try to get as many worldy treasures as possible, so it's rare to see parents training their children to be selfless and servants on purpose, that is Jesus's example to us, a humble servant. God bless these parents who are going against the grain and against what's popular, these teens produce more fruit in their lives then most adults ever will, and will pass by alot of heartache and bad decisions because of the great training they have received from their parents, I try to learn all I can from these episodes and I praise God for the stand they take. Thank You Duggars.

  11. Where did anon say they were single? As for the quote a person made that said "I am sure we all have a desire to get married some day." Oh, how are you sure of that? Yes, God does have a plan for each of us. For some, that is singleness. For some, that is married but childless. For some, that is having 20 children. Please don't put the Duggars, Bates, etc. in this realm of greatness others cannot achieve because they don't get married or they don't have 20 children. We are all equals regardless of our marital status or number of offspring. And we are ALL of equal value to God.

  12. Dear concerned christian,

Thank you for your words I totally agree that the lord has a plan for each and every one of us and being in a couple can help us serve the lord further. That said Im saddened that you mentioned Satan as there is simply no such thing and is a horrible made up lie negative christians have made up to use fear instead of love to promote christ.
    hope this helps
    love and prayers

  13. Hi I just wanted to let the UK viewers know that the latest season is being aired here as well. The do good duggars episode is on today at 12.30pm on discovery home and health even though there is no mention of that on the discovery website my record planner has picked it up.

    Thanks
