Duggar Easter 2017

We hope you all had a blessed Easter celebrating the risen Lord! The Duggars sure did. Here are a few snapshots.

Michelle made cross and heart shaped sugar cookies with some of the younger children.

Meanwhile, the Seewalds snapped some family pictures, which is no small feat for parents with sons who are 17 months old and two months old.

  2. The barefoot Seewald boys are cute!

  3. We did cross and lamb cookies (even though the lambs looked like kittens). I never even thought to do heart cookies....good idea. I have a question....besides the Bible, what other books does Michelle, Jana and Jill read? Do they read Christian fiction or just non fiction books? Can they recommend any books?

    1. I highly recommend Muscle and a shovel by Michael Shank

    2. To Anon @11:25. Recently, I have been reading books by Christian author, Sharon Jaynes. I have read, The Power of a Woman's Words and Becoming The Woman of His Dreams (great for Christian wives). I loved both books, they offer wise advice backed by lots of Scripture!

    3. Do they offer the book Becoming the Man of her Dreams ( great for Christian husbands)??

    4. Ditto to the commenter who recommended Muscle and a Shovel by Michael Shank. It challenges people to think beyond what they have been taught.

    5. I am a librarian and suggest the Mr. Putter and Tabby book series which teaches young children to be kind to older people. There are also wonderful publishers such as The Gryphon Press (empathy for animals) and Free Spirit Publishing (character and values.) You can find award winning children's books by searching Caldecott Medal and Newbery Medal.

  5. Wonder where the Seewalds were when they took these pics. It definitely doesn't look like their tiny house. Did they move into the one Jill and Derrick lived in? It looks really big and fancy regardless.

    1. The pictures were take at Ben's parents house.

    2. Wow, it was so obvious what you did there. Ben and Jessa chose Josh's old house. That's the type of people they are. They didn't want a fancy house like Jill and Derick had. Geez

  7. I'm sorry, but Jessa and her children are terribly dressed here. What is she thinking with Spurge? A buttoned-up bow tie dress shirt with shorts and BAREFOOT..running outside? Henry's outfit is just as bad and he is completely barefoot also. Notice, she is wearing a sweater, Ben has a long sleeved shirt and pants on. What was the temperature that day?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Her sweater is light and she has no legging or tights on. Here in the north it was in the 60s on Easter and they live down south. The kids don't look badly dressed in my opinion.

      Delete
    2. Temperatures that day were between 61 and 73. So maybe upper 60's around noon. It did not look very sunny.

Remember, they don't just dress the boys, they "style" them.

    3. I don't know where they were in the pics, of course, but in Little Rock it was 79 degrees Sunday afternoon. I'm sure the kids were fine.

    4. Your opinion and you are entitled to it but I think they look adorable and happy; my opinion. The outside doesn't really matter as much as the inside.

      Delete
    5. Wow - seriously, none of your business. Those kids are obviously happy and healthy.

      Delete
    6. I don't see an issue with their outfits. When I was growing up shirts bow tie and Short's were typical. After church those hard shoe's were pitched to the corner to run through grass.
Henry is growing fast and they like bow ties. He is a baby so who cares.
Glad it was a happy day.

    7. Wow! Very uncharitable. Nothing wrong with a little boy in shorts and a bow tie! I think they look cute! I'm sure she wouldn't let them freeze either. Maybe her shirt was sleeveless so she needed a sweater. Not sure why this needs to be criticized...

    8. She can dress her kids the way she wants and you can dress your kids the way YOU want.

  8. No shoes? 😕😕

    1. Eh, they're little. Maybe they scooped the kids up, carried them outside for photos, let Spurgeon run a little bit, and took them back inside. Some little kids won't keep socks and shoes on, either.

      Delete
    2. "Shoe Police" make me laugh. The absurdity of it all...clearly nothing else is pressing their time.

      Delete
    3. The Shoe Police! :) Agreed. Who cares if babies have shoes on their feet all the time (which really aren't that good for little baby feet, anyway).

Hope they enjoyed and was able to relax and share.
Guessing they are still visiting seeing the building front.

Any news on Jill and Derrick?

Hope all had a blessed weekend.

  14. LOVE Michelle and the young kids so much and miss them on the show. I'll say it again and again - TLC put ALL of the Duggars on the show!! I also love the signs by the kids telling Jesus they love Him! So much of Easter has nothing about Jesus when He is the ONLY reason for the holiday. God bless the Duggars!

    2. Ditto on all points, Betty!

      Delete
    3. Well, Betty, not all of us want ALL the Duggar's back. Of course we all know you are referring to Josh. It's not unforgiveness. I, myself, was molested. I have zero interest in anything he has to say; coupled with him making a large amount of many to put on a "show" is insulting to all of us who have suffered sexual abuse. It has nothing to do with the adultery. Although immoral, it's not illegal. That is totally between he and Anna. But..the molestation...that's an entirely different situation.

      Delete
    4. betty- I have more respect for the Duggars now that they keep the younger children away from the TV cameras. They deserve privacy and do not owe fans an endless supply of exposure.

      Delete
    5. Putting Josh back on the show will be the quickest way to get it cancelled. The first scandals got 19 kids cancelled and then TLC made counting on and promised Josh would never be on the show (which was correct imo) if they break that promise the backlash will be huge and counting on will also be gone. Duggars and TLC won't take that risk.

    6. 7:44 - I'm sorry that happen to you but unlike some people who paint Christian's to be judge-mental people, Christian's know how to forgive.

  22. I think it is wrong for the Duggars to post pictures of Tyler. This little boy is under their guardianship and they really should be protecting his privacy. Im sure it will be lovely for him to have photographs to look back on in years to come but they should be kept private within the family not for public consumption.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So when they want to post photos, should they ask Tyler to step out of the shot each time?

      Delete
    2. Agree! But then they didn't protect even their own young children from the cameras.

      Delete
    3. On the surface I agree with you. However, Tyler is well aware the Duggar's are reality tv stars. Perhaps he would feel more ostracized if not included publicly. I think as a child being included is so very important to self-esteem. I don't see this as malicious or an invasion of privacy, but a lovely attempt to feel welcomed in the fold.

      Delete
    4. Anon @ 12.38. I'm sure there are plenty of pictures without Tyler in them that they could post, they are not shy of cameras. Anon @ 7:48 The Duggars have always said that the children have no exposure to social media and phones so Tyler would not be aware hes being left out. In years to come he might be grateful that he wasn't splashed all over social media, especially considering his immediate family circumstances.

    1. Wow. I'd love to see what your house would look like in random, realistic pictures.

      Delete
    2. 1:10 what on earth are talking about....pink chairs....piles of laundry?

      Delete
    3. I have also noticed the big difference between these candid shots and how things looked when the show was being filmed. That house really can get in a jumble when they're not filming. What happened to those good old "jurisdictions" and the chore chart? Michelle used to run that family and house like a well-oiled machine.

      Delete
    4. Their is know laundry on the chairs. You must be seeing things. The laundry is in the laundryroom.

      Delete
    5. We have five kids and a laundry schedule, but if we're in the middle of a laundry day, you will see piles of laundry in the laundry room. It doesn't mean we're "behind schedule," it means we're in the middle of it. With many more kids than we have, their piles will be bigger. So many snide comments on some of these pictures!

  24. Nice photos. Spurgeon is a look alike of Jessa. Cannot tell Henry yet if he resembles Ben or Jessa.

  26. I hope you post this Lily and Elli; to those of you ( and there are many). STOP with the clothing comments: too tight, too short, rep holes, shoes/no shoes. Are you thank superficial? There are many more things of substance to comment on. Either you live a very isolated life or have waaay too much time on your hands.

  30. Barefoot Spurgeon walking in the middle of that garden is looking a lot like "Frodo" from The Lord of the Rings". Very cute!

  31. Warm weather or not, that milduey walkway needed to be pressure washed and it looks like it just had rained. That is no where anyone should be walking without shoes on, especially a baby's soft feet. Easy to step on debris like a small pebble which can hurt the child's feet OR a grown up's foot. Not good judgment there. Clean that walk way first. It, BTW, doesn't look like the 'guest house' entrance to me.

  33. I'm glad to see they're going to a regular church nowadays, not a home church. It's fun for the kids to go to Sunday school, make crafts, meet other kids, etc.
