Cow Appreciation Day 2016

Chick-fil-A is hosting its annual Cow Appreciation Day! Restaurant guests who wear cow attire will receive a free entrée today until 7:00pm.

Have you ever participated in Cow Appreciation Day? This bovine holiday is a Duggar family tradition. Here are a couple snapshots from years past...

    1. You better add a load more on your list.I would never eat out again if I didn't agree with the personal choices of the establishments I visit...ridiculous...life is to short, just enjoy the food and service...lol😉

  2. As a LEOW it saddens me that I haven't seen a comment from the Duggars about Dallas and the murdered officers. Pray for America.

    1. If they had made comments - they would have had negative comments - either way - they seem to come out on the bad list

    2. I'm sure they include these things in their prayers, why would they need to publicly comment on that??

    3. Did you see what happened to poor Zach Bates when he posted?

    4. Did they not comment about Orlando?

  3. I love me some Chick-fil-A, too, but the Duggars share a LOT of public obsession with the chikin shop. More than any other eatery from what I've seen. Why is that?

    1. Probably because it's christian owned so they want to support it... and the food is really good too. :)

    2. Probably because it's a christian owned company so they want to support it... and the food is quite good too. :)

    3. Great food and wonderful, friendly service, plus the owner has similar Christian values. What's not to love?

    4. Really? I see them talk about it around the yearly Cow Appreciation Day, but seems like we've been hearing more about the taco shop, the place where they get the huge chocolate dessert, etc.

    5. It's also just about the only fast food joint that sells real food!

    6. How do they treat the chicken? Do they know Proverbs 12,10? I doubt it....

    7. They also treat the chicken humanely, which is also a plus...and that is important to me too😊

  4. I refuse to support a place that believes that fellow Americans should be denied happiness. I've never set foot in a Chick-Fil-A and never will. Even if they were not a homophobic establishment, I would not eat that garbage any way.

    1. Do your research. Google and see that this is anything but a homophobic company. In fact, they provide water to those protesting against the company. Don't believe everything your special interest group tells you. Read up on the company values. The company is privately owned, and the owner has the right to his own opinions of religious conscience, as do we all, but the company is NOT biased in any way.

    2. The owners ARE the company, when it comes down to brass tacks.

  5. I cannot imagine accepting free food from a corporation. I could not in good conscience do that. I am blessed to be able to afford to pay for my own food, and so are the Duggars. Chick-Fil-A is doing this only to promote their business and produce more income for them. If it were about being generous and feeding people, that "free" food would be boxed up and sent to soup kitchens and other food programs, where it truly would be needed. This is as bad as the Duggars dressing up like pirates and getting oodles of dozens of free donuts.

    1. FYI: Chick-Fil-A has donated quite a bit of free food in numerous communities; they just don't advertise it like a lot of other corporations...Ask Orlando. Please do your homework before you pass judgement.

    2. If u watched earlier episodes, they make large donations to all the places that give them free food. They are so charitable...have always been and will forever be...thats the kind of people they are...blessings🕇

  6. After all the flak they got last year for dressing like pirates and getting free donuts I'm surprised this subject was brought up.

  7. Aww, You told us too late! I would have dressed up as a cow for a free Chick-fil-a meal. I love cows.

  8. Jill and Derick are seriously way too old to be dressing up for this. My friends and I are the same age as them and would be so embarrassed to do that.

    1. There are tons of adults who act immature, and their actions -such as getting out-of-their-mind drunk - are by far worse than Derek and Jill having fun dressing up as cows.

    2. Everyone has different ideas about what is fun. Just because you and your friends wouldn't enjoy it doesn't mean Jill and Derrick can't.

    3. My friends and I do not get out of control drunk! We are pro-LGBT vegetarians, so we wouldn't go to Chick-Fil-A anyway. Thankfully, we also live in New Jersey, so we don't have establishments like that near our town.

    4. I was not referring to you and your friends I don't even know you and your friends. I am referring to adults I know in my own community in the Midwest. I have seen adults do things that are far more immature and offensive than dressing like cows for a lunch.

  9. Are you sure the photo of Jill and Derick isn't from 2014? Jill looks thin there and doesn't have that flabby, post-pregnancy stomach she's had since having Israel.

    3. Flabby post-pregnancy stomach??? Really??? That is so rude.

  10. I personally don't go there as I find them very hateful to people who support same sex marriage. But that's the main reason the duggars go there..

    1. Please do your research. The owner of the business is entitled to his own opinions regarding issues of conscience and his own religion, as are we ALL. The business of Chik-Fil-A, however, is not hateful at all toward anyone. In fact, they are known for providing free water to people protesting their business. Google it.

    2. Yes, Chick-Fil-A is so hateful that employees came in on their day off, made food, and freely fed HUNDREDS of people lined up donating blood for the Orlando gay nightclub terrorist attack. How hateful is that? It is not hate to disagree with a lifestyle and to state your opinion. Those accusing Chick-Fil-A of "hate" are generally among the first to publicly, angrily, and loudly mock and verbally attack Christians. Double standard, much?

    3. I agree with you, 10:23. It's lovely to have cute mascots and funny promotions, but when your rigid core values cause you to oppose one entire group of people, and dismiss them as a whole without acknowledging their worth as human beings or taking the time to truly understand them, then the fun is over. :(

  11. Yes, we went as a family tonight and had a wonderful time!

  12. Man, I love me a chicken sandwich, no pickles though. I think I've had one at least twice a week for the past year and a half. If you take off the bread and just eat the chicken you can even get away with using it as a form of protein on a diet. A few years ago I lost 30lb's eating a chicken sandwich (no bread or pickles) every day (Bought 2 on Saturday so I could have one on Sunday).

    1. Then why not just cook chicken? And pickles are fine to eat.

  13. Every time I leave the restraunt I feel like a million bucks...the folks who work there are extremely nice, kind, and helpful. My mother is disabled and they treated her like a queen...gee I wonder why...maybe it's the Christian values that the employees have...so refreshing and a sure thing you will be taken care of right.😀

  14. The owner of Chic-Fil-A is a Bible believing Christian as am I who takes it very seriously when God says "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22. We must pray for sinners - including ourselves. Think of it this way: God says "Thou shalt not kill" now if the owner of Chic-Fil-A spoke out against murder I don't think many would disagree with him. You either stand fully with God and his word or you don't. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve. Christians have a love for all souls not wanting to see any perish.
