Watch Amy Duggar on TLC

What is cousin Amy Duggar up to these days? She's living in Nashville and pursuing a career in music. Catch up with her in June when her new show, A Duggar Leaves Home, premieres on TLC. The show will start off as a special, but the network hopes to give Amy a regular time slot.

  1. Does this mean that Amy has a reality tv show?

  2. Amy is cute & funny & obviously does not adhere to all of her aunt & uncles standards. That does not mean she's not a good person. I wish her luck in her music career. I am a big fan if country music myself.

  5. The Duggar family has other cousins that we never see. What's up the the Ruark side of the family. If there is bad blood between Michelle and them it should be addressed to the viewers. Not so Godly of them, is it? (If that were true).

    1. Yes obviously shes not a duggar, her last name is jordan if im not wrong. I think shes just using her famous cousins last name to see if it will help her music career.

    2. Her mother is Jim Bob's sister. She is as much a Dugger as her cousins.

  10. Amy is definitely spunky and fun, but I don't think I'd be watching or supporting this :/ I'm not sure how beneficial/edifying the show is for us or Amy in all honesty. But I'm thankful that she's a part of a God-fearing (extended) family.

  13. Congrats Amy. I heard this as a rumor a couple of months ago. I glad it's confirmed. I hope she makes it big in Nashville.

  14. Please con someone explain why Amy's surname is Duggar? As her mother is Jim Bob's sister, was she born out of wedlock? or does she just choose to use the name Duggar? I hope someone knows the answer! Thanks.

    1. Yes, Amy was born before her parents got married, way before. So legally, her last name was listed as her mom's. She loves her dad, but never chose to change her name

  15. If Amy is the daughter of Jim Bob's sister, why is her last name Duggar?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Cool! That should be interesting to watch and i look forward to watching it! (But I'm pretty sure her last name isn't Duggar.)

  17. That's wonderful....can't wait to watch "A Duggar Leaves Home," it's wonderful to see how God is also blessing Amy. I was wondering what had happened to her, but glad to know she's doing great, I really like her too. I was also thinking that it would be nice if they had a show for Josh & Anna, since they are so far from home too. But I guess will have to wait and see.

  18. What I don't understand is why she continues to go by her mothers maiden name instead of her given name. I find that the title of her show is very miss leading. she has fans and followers that i don't believe that she has to ride the Duggar name. She is beautiful and has a larger than life personality that she can stand on her own. Also people who are negative about the Duggars might not give her show the proper attention that it deserves. I love Amy and I hope all the best for her, I just want her to be true to her self.

    1. Her dad want a part of het life until she was an adult. She uses her mother's maiden name. Her mom only married her dad when Amy was 19.

  22. So Amy has her own show! How exciting! Is this part of 19 Kids and Counting? Are the Duggar's in it ? I hope it doesn't take away from 19 Kids and Counting.

  24. If any duggar should get a spinoff show it should be josh and anna and their new life in d.c.

  25. Amy used her mom's maiden name because her parents didn't get married for many years...she was practically grown by the time they married. So she's just always gone by the Duggar name and I doubt she would have any reason to change it now.

  26. The countenances of these three are is a blessing, praise the Lord! Thank-you Ellie, Lily and Mr Lily too, may God bless you!

  27. @stephanie PhilpottDo some digging,as well as I. I think I remember hearing that Amys mom was a single mother, and that this is her stepfather,so therefore she would have her moms maiden name.I'm not sure if this is correct either. So if you know for a fact that is the reason she carries the Duggar name than maybe we all should refrain from some statements unless we know for sure. Then again its really none of our business, Amy is sweet and kind,so however she can make it,is fine with me,shes not hurting anyone, least of all us readers.Amy,You go girl! Best wishes.

  28. See people, the Duggars support Amy and she wears pants, they love her no matter, and don't judge her either.Amy cracks me up, she is so spunky and funny.Joyanna really gets a kick out of her, you can tell.I wish her well and hope she makes it big. She's got the personality for a fun show, one thing Amy is NOT is boring, that's for sure.I will keep Amy and fam in my prayers.

  29. I doubt the show wont even last that long if it does run.

  30. Amy was born before her parents got married making her a Duggar and not Amy Jordan.

  31. Amy gets on my nerves sometimes on the show, but if this is where she's been placed, good luck!

  32. @AnonymousThanks for the info, see there people, now pleeease give it a rest, court ajourned.;-)

  33. Happy for Amy, but would definitely like to see Josh and Anna get their own show!

  34. The Duggars accept Amy and she doesn't subscribe to their rigid beliefs. She is a Christian, obviously, but lives a contemporary life. Why is it ok for her to visit and go out with her female cousins, but the girls aren't allowed to have any mainstream friends and to out with them? I've always wondered about that conflict of interest.

Her fathers name is Terry Jordon. He and Deanna have been together for over 20 years and they just got married about 7 years ago. He is her biological dad. I love Amy btw and I think with her amazing personality that she can make it on her own in this business. I never said she was anything but amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @AnonymousYes she will. Hard to believe. Wish it was josh and Anna or one of the older duggar girls as they move to married life on their own

    ReplyDelete
  37. @AnonymousThat's exactly what I said! Love them!

    ReplyDelete
  38. @AnonymousYou are correct. Amy's mom married a few years ago, that is her step father. Before that it was Amy and mom, her biological father left family years ago, and I don't think ever was even married to Amy's mom. So that is why she is a duggar. Many single moms out there give their child their maiden name when no father is around I don't understand some of these comments. These people act like it's never been heard of???

    1. Amy's mom married Amy's biological dad when Amy was 19. Her parents had a rocky relationship for years, so Amy was given the name Amy Duggar at birth which was her mother's maiden name. Unwed mothers often give their children their maiden name. Amy is a great girl who is living her dreams not trying to freeload. I hope she succeeds!

  39. I'm so tired of all these negative comments. Seriously, can't we go by the preschool motto- If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all?

  40. On the Israel visit episode, it appeared as though JimBob baptized Amy. I thought it was a practice across the Christian faith board that only a real minister/pastor, trained in seminaries or Divinity Schools could baptize a candidate? Who actually baptized Amy? If it was JimBob, how is he officially able to do so?

    1. Dads, GrandDads, Uncles, often baptize family or friends. Very common across Christian churches today.

  41. Does it really matter what name she uses? Actors and musicians change their name all the time anyways. And she is a Duggar.

  42. They canceled the Bates show but they want to give Amy Jordan a show?? There is enough people like her on t.v. Love the duggars and Bates, can't stand when Amy it's on the show, I will even skip an episode..

    ReplyDelete
  43. @AnonymousI agree. I love Josh and Ann and their family and miss them now that they have moved and are not on the show much. I was hoping TLC would do a show apron Josh and Anna and was surprised when I found out it was going to be on Amy Duggar. Don't get me wrong, I like Amy, I just can't see a series on her. But maybe it will work out and then TLC will give us Josh & Anna.

  44. I didn't even know The Bates had a show until it was over and would love to watch the episodes. Do you know where they might be? I love the Bates family!

  45. I think Amy is always funny on 19 kids. In fact so many of the shows are just BORING!!! I think having her go to Nashville will be really great as so many Moms and Dads etc... around the country have talented kids who would love to find out about music in Nashville. And now they can watch a wholesome program and not have to hide there kids eyes for fear of trash talk.
Way to go....Amy I am looking forward to seeing this on TLC.

  46. Hi,
I agree with above post.....I have a daughter that wants to be a singer. Now we can watch a show on how to make it in music and actually feel secure in knowing it wont be trash. Hope we can watch it more this summer while she is home from school.

  47. I hope and pray that TLC will continue to broadcast only the Duggars and their children. Jim Bob, Michelle and their children truly love the Lord and seek to live their lives in honor of Christ. This is encouraging to me and my family not viewing Amy pursue a secular music career. I pray that she will sing christian music.
