Tour the Dillards' New Home

Tonight on the Jill & Jessa: Counting On season finale, which airs at 9pm ET/8pm CT, the Duggars and Seewalds continue their mission trip down in Central America, and Israel Dillard meets Spurgeon Seewald for the first time.

In the sneak peek video below, Jill Dillard gives Jessa Seewald a tour of her home, which has three bedrooms but no air conditioning. The Dillards often host temporary missionaries, so having extra space is a huge blessing.

  1. In some of the angles in this video it sure does look like Jill might be pregnant. I'm guessing that will be one of the 'life changing events' in the season finale part 2 tonight.

    1. Jill is not pregnant. She like many mothers didn't bounce straight back to her pre baby body..

  3. I've really enjoyed this show, but I've heard it's been cancelled. I certainly hope this isn't true. Also it's been great to see the other Duggar's with Mom and Dad included. I think it's about time the original series is returned to us viewers.

    1. I'm afraid it might be done. Are there enough sponsors to keep it going?

  4. Oh my; guest rooms??? Very thin mattresses on the floor is not a room for a guest; it's like a bunk house!
And Jill does appear pregnant; no surprise or "life changing" event; just how the Duggars roll.

  5. I really enloyed this series and hope it is renewed. I sent my comment to Discovery Channel. I have a heart for Third World Missions and would like to get more information about praying and helping support Jill and Derek's mission work. Susan

  6. So what was the life changing event? They didn't say anything new. It was just another rerun show.

  9. I had to give up cable, just couldn't afford it anymore. I only have antenna TV. Is Counting On with any of the streaming channels? Netflix, Amazon, Hulu? I'm going to get a Roku soon and will subscribe to one of them. Good luck with the show. Hope TLC keeps it on. Also, you need to show more of actual mission work of Jill and Derrick. Are they digging wells? helping at orphanages? what exactly do they do?

  10. Not having air conditioning is not a hardship. Please...just stop trying to make their lives sound so difficult. Their are people who are truly living very difficult lives...as missionaries...and just from being born into difficult areas. All in all they still have a higher standard of living than most. How about just being grateful.

    1. I did not appreciate their "better than the mud huts most live in" type of comment on the show last night. That was snarky.

    2. Have you ever tried it? Believe me it would be a hardship for Americans who are use to it!

    3. How many of us grew up in a hot climate without air-conditioning or know someone who doesn't have it?

I see all those hands raised.

  11. They have electricity, so why not get a window unit air conditioner, I wonder if they thought of that, it is feasible.Just wondering.

  12. What was with the mattress encased in plastic? That would be horrible to sleep on in a humid climate!

  14. I (too) am enjoying this show - just enough of the siblings involved.
It is in good taste. Let's hope it IS renewed.
Something tells me we will hear Jinger is in a relationship (perhaps with Derrick's brother??????) I admire Jill & Derrick very much. They have good hearts toward others.
    Bless them all
