Vuolos Visit Vuolos

Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo traveled to Philadelphia to celebrate Christmas with Jeremy's family. Although the weather has been chilly, the went out on the town and visited The Franklin Institute Science Museum, Tenth Presbyterian Church, and the University of Pennsylvania.

    2. Nothing immodest about her pants!! Better than freezing!! I don’t get the obsession with skirts vs pants!! As long as one is modest it doesn’t matter!!

    3. I believe it is her choice and her's alone what difference does it make her mother followed God's path and now Jinger is it just isn't the same path

  2. Amazing - the ladies are all dressed appropriately without a single skirt! They look so happy and relaxed.

    1. If they were wearing skirts or dresses they would still be dressed appropriately and they'd still be happy and relaxed.

    2. I love skirts and dresses. When I wear them I am usually more comfortable. Especially in the heat of Summer!!!

      Delete
    3. And they'd be dressed inappropriately if they were in skirts? Riiight...

      Delete
    4. Exactly 2:55- it doesn't matter what people wear.

      Delete
    5. But very, very cold in a dress or skirt. The weather in the upper portions of our country exceptionally cold right now.

      Delete
    6. 2:55 -- you missed the point of the comment.

      Delete
    7. You CAN be very warm in a skirt. The type of material matters. But also, getting a warm pair of tights that have fleece inside lining really helps.

      Delete
    8. Yes, totally missed the point. They meant the pants are just AS modest as skirts. Not that skirts aren’t modest.

    9. I wear skirts and dresses exclusively and do not freeze in cold weather. Right now it's in the teens where I live with wind chills below zero. I simply put on leggings and knee socks or wool tights under my skirts. More layers than just pants. Not sure why people think you can't be warm and cozy in skirts or dresses as long as they are appropriate ones.

      Delete
    10. I agree with you Sunnysideup. I wear dresses exclusively and I'm able to stay very warm and toasty.

      Delete
    11. Yep, layer up and you can be just as warm in a skirt!

    12. So nice to see Jinger in pants like a normal young woman. She looks so happy. Glad she has a normal family for inlaws.

      Delete
    13. Why do you have to wear pants to be a normal young woman? Seems more womanly to me to wear skirts and dresses.

  3. They are so blessed by TLC to be able to travel so frequently! I know most pastors of small churches could never dream of affording such a living!

    1. How can any church pastor travel at Christmas?

      Delete
    2. There are guest pastors. And even a pastor can go visit family!

      Delete
    3. Christmas Eve was a Sunday. They could have took a flight right after the service.

      Delete
    4. Remember, he was a professional soccer player too!

    5. Well...Jeremy does a lot of traveling at all sorts of times. I admit it is a bit of a puzzler how he is around enough to actually Pastor!

      Delete
    6. Because he wants to my pasor gos all the time
      and that's fine.

    7. Like many families with kids that are married it is quite possible that they celebrated after the actual Holiday.

      Delete
    8. Many families celebrate before or after the actual Holiday. It’s possible that His is the case here too.

    9. My Pastor takes his wife and children to go visit extended family every other Christmas. Our church gets by just fine. Every situation is different, but in ours, I feel like it would be selfish of us to deny the children the opportunity to ever get to go to their Grandparent's house for Christmas.

      Delete
    10. It doesn't say when they went. Maybe they went before or after Christmas. Before I retired, I knew my responsibility was to lead my Church family in Christmas services. I knew when I accepted the call to ministry that other people's days off, like at Christmas and Easter, would be days that I would be working long hours. But what a blessing!

      Delete
    11. I'm sure they went right after Christmas service on Sunday.

      Delete
    12. A pastor of a church should be able to visit his family at Christmas. Christmas was Monday, who knows? Maybe JEremy preached and they took a flight Christmas Eve. Either way I am certain another pastor preached if Pastor Vuolo and his wife left for Christmas.

      Delete
    13. I thought it was "his" church and that he was responsible for it, not another minister. Never heard of another one mentioned. Jeremy's the one preaching in those videos.

    14. Duggar in laws seem to have flexible jobs. I recall Derick traveling all over with the Duggars when he was with Wal-Mart. Interesting.

    15. One reason why Catholic protects do not marry...

    16. "Priests", not "protects". Auto correct...smh.

    17. I figured they went after Christmas. My husband is a conservative Lutheran pastor and we only travel during his 2 weeks of vacation time per year. He is in the pulpit every Sunday unless there is an emergency or we are taking the above-referenced vacation time. We have extra services during Advent and Lent so travel during that time is unlikely. My husband serves two parishes. He had a total of 4 services this Christmas Eve since he had regular Sunday services plus Christmas Eve services. We also had church Christmas morning--The Feast of the Nativity! We were able to visit my family Christmas evening but were back in time for him to work Tuesday morning. There were funerals to plan and the sick to care for. The pastor is the shepherd of his flock. My husband does not neglect his family at all but I also want him to be there for those in our parishes. They support our bodily needs so he should be there for their spiritual needs. That said, other churches and denominations are different and I will put the best construction on Jeremy's travels.

  4. Anywhere near Erie, PA? Record snowfall!!

    1. Pilly is diagonally opposite from Erie. Philly, being more "coastal," often gets rain when the rest of the state gets snow. Although Philly does get its share of snow, too.

      Delete
    2. Philadelphia and Erie are at opposite ends of the state.

      Delete
    3. not at all. Erie is having a mountain of snow and Philly has NONE. Just cold and a nice place to visit. It's about 8 hours away.

      Delete
    4. Thanks..supposeI should have brushed up on my geography!

    5. Snow in Erie is nothing new. They are like the Buffalo NY of PA, since they're right off the lake. Yes, they did get dumped on quickly this time, but it's not the first time a snow event anywhere in PA was measured in feet, not inches.

    2. With her TV income, it’s more likely Jinger would have treated Jeremy.

    1. So, you are trying to said that what she used to say when she was single about wearing skirt all the time was a lied and now she can express herself now that she is married.

    2. Let it rest when one marries they conform to their husbands way of thinking nothing wrong with that

    1. You have unfortunately been indoctrinated to believe something that simply can't be proven. While you're happy to see Jinger getting a different perspective, are you willing to do the same? Are you willing to do some research and hear the overwhelming evidence that demonstrates the truth of Creationism? Are you willing to explore the obvious flaws in the theories you've been led to believe?

      Delete
    2. What or where is the proof for creationism?

      Delete
    3. Please.....the blog is about the Duggars and not really intended to debate such a deep topic. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ☮️

      Delete
    4. Thanks but after 13 years of religious school and many more of church and Sunday school I have had plenty of indoctrination in Creationism. I have made my choice and am comfortable with it. I am happy that Jinger is now seeing a difference viewpoint than the one she was raised with and maybe she will be able to decide which one she is comfortable with. God did give us free will didn’t he?

      Delete
    5. Çreation is proved by the written word of God. But you are free to believe the written words of men....

      Delete
    6. But then what proves the “written word of God” isn’t just the written and highly translated word of man?

      Delete
  13. Will the time ever come when people stop remarking over Jinger's decision to wear pants? I expected it at first.
After all, this goes against what Jim Bob and Michelle tried to teach their children. People who don't like the Duggars have taken great delight in the hope that Jinger is publicly scorning her parents. I personally disagree with that notion, and also would not find it to be a cause for celebration, but others do, and I'm not surprised. What does surprise me is how long their celebrations are lasting.

    1. Good point Anon 6:00 The people who are happy that she is dressing different and putting off having children as Jeremy was saying he wants to wait a few years before having kids are the same people who will rip Jinger to pieces on Social media if anything goes wrong in her life. Jingers Mom and Dad set a good example on how to live a Godly selfless life and have been a good example on modesty, loyalty and faithfulness and if I was her I would emulate their example and not what the public wants or anyone else wants.

      Delete
    2. I think Jinger knows what she wants. Her parents would want her to have a joy filled life. I have seen no feedback from them that they even care if as an adult she is wearing pants. As for when she and Jeremy start a family, that is between Jinger and Jeremy not JB and Michelle. I don’t think Michelle and JB feel scorned. I agree let’s hope people move on from the trousers and baby bump watching and just enjoy the lovely couple who radiate couple love ❤️

    3. I agree 6:00 she has just taken a different path maybe one day she will come back around to her parents way of thinking maybe not as long as she follows God it doesn't matter

  14. I will forever think of Jinger as 'the one who got away'. She is experiencing a life she would never have had if she hadn't married someone like Jeremy. She is having the opportunity to broaden her horizons and see and experience a different way of life, I am so happy for her.

    1. The others are not imprisoned-they have just the same opportunities, but have not CHOSEN to take them like Jinger.

      Delete
    2. 5:31; A woman shouldn't have to find a man to broaden her horizons or experience a different way of life. I think it's unfortuante that none of the Duggar daughters have left home to experience some independence before getting married.

      Delete
    3. "Got away" from what? During her childhood, she traveled the world over, met a vast array of different people and cultures, learned at least a few musical instruments, dipped her toes in the real estate market and car-flipping market, and these are just the things we know about. How much broader could her horizons have been? Is it possible you are hoping she was able to get away from the Christian faith she was taught as a child? (By marrying a Christian pastor?) Wouldn't that be narrowing her horizons?

      Delete
    4. I couldn't agree more. I think Jinger looks so happy and I'm glad to see her enjoying life and traveling. And dressing the way she feels comfortable. She's certainly old enough to make her own choices.

      Delete
    5. I agree. Very cleverly stated.

  15. When I look at her in jeans it may me think why did she marriaged a liberal Christian man, why she didn't find a conservative Christian that would like her to wear skirts all the time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Really? 'Liberal Christian and conservative christian? Why not just be a christian and live the way God asks us to. Has nothing to do with wearing pants or skirts

      Delete
    2. Maybe it has nothing to do with who she married. Maybe Jinger didn’t like wearing skirts all the time. Maybe Jinger has a mind of her own and makes her own decisions

  18. As I read through all of the responses.I took notice that there's not a single bad comment from Jeremy's congregation.Just maybe they know something that we don't know. I realize that it's hard to know his reasons for his choices in life. When he doesn't explain himself to everyone. It leaves us on the outside,to create something to fill in blanks. But,it might be barely possible, that he discussed things with the people that HE deemed needed to know. He's a good man and possibly a good pastor and maybe we should give him the benefit of a doubt. If he's not taking care of his flock. They should be the ones to say something. Judgement is a big responsibility and my personal thoughts don't mean anything to anyone other than myself. But, I know that it is painful to be judged for something that is not true. (Even for truthful things)
My Dad told me that many people feel the need to stand on other people's backs.Because it makes them feel taller. I hope that I will be judged by the ONE that matters and knows 'The Truth'.

    2. I agree with you too. Well put. We have to remember that Pastor's are humans. They have families. They are allowed to go on vacation. In today's world, minister's are under a lot of pressure to instruct a flock correctly. They need those vacations. We also have to take in account we are all a work in progress. We all learn about things more and more as we draw closer to the Lord. Things we didn't think a big deal years before. He is young, and hopefully is letting God grow him as a man and a Pastor. I am sure if there is something that needs addressing, God would deal with them both. We have to stop judging and scrutinizing. Just pray for them. Most importantly we should all be asking God to search us, and continue to show us the error our ways. We only see what is posted and what is on camera. Nobody knows the time frame between all of that. I see this family get picked apart about every single thing. I am a little shocked they decided to go on with Counting On. So many vile things have been speculated, and accused some of them of in the media. But one thing I respect, you hardly see them fight back. They just remain quiet. I pray for them all.
