Big Wedding Tomorrow

Duggar and Bates men
Duggar and Bates men at the annual ATI homeschool conference, April 2017

Tomorrow afternoon, at a church in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area, Tori Bates will marry her sweetheart, Bobby Smith. Tori turns 22 next week, while Bobby will be 23 in February. Rest assured, there will be some Duggars present at the event.

The Duggars and Bates have been close friends for more than 20 years, and while every single member of each family isn't always able to be there to celebrate the major milestones of the other, they always send at least a handful of delegates.

We look forward to sharing more details about the wedding on our Bates blog in the days and weeks to come. Tori and Bobby will have 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen with a winter wonderland theme.

    2. Happy 51st anniversary 6:20! December 16th,today,is one of the happiest days of my life! My daughter was born on that day in 1975. She turned 42 today. She has always been the best daughter any mother could hope for! Now I have the honor of being "gammy" to 3 boys of hers who are now 16,13 and 10 years old. Can't forget my wonderful son-in-law either! I have truly been blessed! Whether you're mommy or grandma, enjoy every minute because time flies! I feel like it was just yesterday that I brought my baby girl home on Christmas Eve 1975!

  9. I like reading this blog because of the different opinions and views. I wouldn't want this blog to be an admiration society of the Duggar family. Many post here with their thoughts, opinions and suggestions. I enjoy that. It would be a boring site if everyone said the same thing..."great, wonderful, lovely...etc'. Thank you, ladies for posting the differences of opinion here as they're interesting to learn about.

  10. I hope you do not mind me correcting you... but this was not family camp this april, it was the ATI conference or Family conference. Family camp is in October. :) I attend these conferences and greatly enjoy spending time with the Duggars!

Have a blessed week! Merry Christmas!

  13. I find it funny that the Duggars and Bates have been friends for over 20 years and there hasn’t been a Duggar/Bates relationship yet. But there is a Duggar/Forsyth relationship and the Duggars have only been friends with the Forsyths for over 15 years(?).

  14. Hi Ellie, I know this is off topic but I'm curious to hear more about Joe and Kendra. Where are they living? How is their life as newlyweds? We don't hear too much about them.

Joe and Kendra have chosen not to make that information public, but when they decide to give an update, I will share the info. :)
