Baby Seewald Coming Soon

Baby Seewald is due in just 5 days! Jessa and Ben's first child, Spurgeon Seewald, was due on their one-year wedding anniversary (November 1st, 2015) but arrived four days late. At birth, Spurgeon weighed 9 lbs 11 oz and measured 21 1/4 inches long.

The photos below show Jessa at 39 weeks pregnant with her first baby (left) and her second (right). When do you think Baby #2 will arrive, and how much do you think he or she will weigh?

  6. 8lb 8oz and a girl Jan 30

  7. I think she'll go past her due date and nobody in the family will care. Her "midwife" will encourage her to just wait it out. And then they'll film the drama for Season 4.

  8. I think that baby #2 will arrive on time. If not a day before Jessa's due date. I also think she's going to have a girl.

  13. Not sure as it could be the angle but she looks like she didn't "pop" as much as she did last time. So maybe baby will be a little smaller and she will have an easier delivery? Again she could be the same size, just hard to tell.

  14. Prayers for a healthy and safe delivery. I will guess Feb 3, 8lbs 3oz 19 1/2 in. I think a girl. Either way good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  18. She will be here February 10, weighing in the seven pound range and will be twenty long. She won't be the big brute that Spurgeon was so hopefully the delivery will be much easier. Hoping and praying for all the best for them.

  19. I think SHE will arrive a few days early. (In 3 days.) and will be 8 lbs 7 oz.

  20. I can't get the pictures out of my head of Jessa in extreme pain while in labor at home, and being carried out of the house on a stretcher while hemorrhaging. Can't believe she's putting herself through it again so soon. Hope she realizes there are better and easier ways to have babies! Suffering the pain makes you no better of a mother, and asking for pain relief makes you no worse of one either.

  21. I think she will have a girl and she will be right on time, if not early. :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. A girl. 6'8" 19.5 inches long. But no matter hope it is healthy and we know it will be happy being in a wonderful loving family

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm thinking that she looks smaller this time around so maybe the baby will weigh less.......Praying for an easy delivery...

  30. I'm excited for the the new baby. I'm sure Jessa will be glad when the baby gets here. I know some of you are going to whine about her hand on her belly but I see it as her way of holding the baby until he or she gets here and she can finally hold her baby. Pregnant women have been doing it for centuries and they are going to keep doing it.

I just hope they know the baby is in the right direction.

It doesn't matter the gender as long as baby and Mom are healthy.

I think she looks smaller this pregnancy which is makng me think it's a girl. All pregnancies treat your body differently. There were an incredible amount of differences in my two pregnancies.

  59. Safe labour and delivery to Jessa, and I pray she has decided to go to hospital after her previous bleeding after the safe delivery of Spurgeon. I too also bled after the birth of my children, and each subsequent birth was worse. I pray that their insistence on home births doesn't preclude them from listening to medical advise.

    ReplyDelete

  94. I used to be one of the commenters who wouldn't say anything nice about Ben. However now I think he is a really good choice and he is likeable. I hope their family is rounded out with a girl. That would be nice and enough for them.

    ReplyDelete
  95. It's been fun predicting, but I know we all pray for a safe, uneventful birth. The size and the gender will be just right. My first three were boys then finally a baby girl. Each child is connected to the day they were born and the order of their birth. All the rest are precious details, but an easy as possible birth for mama and a healthy baby are the goals.God bless you the next few days. (I always planed on them being two weeks late so they could come early and "sneak up on me unannounced!")
