13 Days 'Til Duggars Return to TV

"It's really been a privilege for me to get to know you. I wanted to ask you if you would..."
-Jeremy Vuolo

The Duggars are set to return to TLC in less than two weeks! New episodes of Counting On premiere Tuesday, August 23rd, at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

In this season, you'll be introduced to Jeremy Vuolo and hear the rest of his quote above, as well as Jinger's response. You can also look forward to updates from the rest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's adult children.

While Jinger is in courtship bliss, the other older Duggar siblings are ready to leave the lows of the past year behind them and look forward to new and exciting highs. Jill and Derick are returning to Arkansas after a year of balancing mission work and raising their one-and-a-half year-old son in Central America.

Ben and Jessa are experiencing all the excitement of being new parents and possible plans for adoption, while Ben simultaneously organizes a football camp with ex-NFL players to mentor kids. Joy, Jedidiah and Jeremiah are also reaching a milestone with high school graduation rapidly approaching.

And, these three aren’t the only ones growing up; could John David, Joseph and Josiah be pursuing courtships? These siblings aren’t kids anymore, and each new relationship, parenting challenge, and exciting endeavor are a reminder of how much they’ve grown.

What are you most looking forward to on season two of Counting On?

  1. So is he proposing to her in that top picture? Because that doesn't look like the rooftop in New York. Not the same clothes, not the right background.

Still sticking with the theory that there was more than one proposal, and the one on the rooftop was staged for filming. She kept her ring hand hidden for awhile before that news came out.

    1. No that's the courtship "proposal."

    2. I think that was when he asked her to court.

    3. I'm guessing that was to start a courtship. not an engagement.

    4. I'm guessing that was the start of their courtship, not engagement.

    5. I feel like in the quote/picture above he was probably asking her to begin an official courtship......

    6. No, the scene above is when Jeremy asks Jinger to enter a formal courtship after having gotten know her better. The rooftop scene in New York is their actual engagement.

    7. I don't think he's proposing in the photo, because even if there had been two proposals, they wouldn't show it, would they?
Maybe he's asking her to start courting.

    8. Pretty sure it's just him asking her to court. We haven't seen any of that yet.

    9. One could be he asked her to start the courtship. The other could be the proposal.

    11. He's asking her to enter a courtship in that picture.

    12. Guessing that's just the beginning of the courtship, not the engagement.

    13. I think this is when he asked her to court him.

    14. I'm assuming this is from when he asked to start a courtship

    15. This is where he asks Jinger if she would like to enter a courtship...

    16. I think in the clip he's probably asking her to enter an official courtship, just like Ben and Derick did with Jessa and Jill prior to proposing. I'm thinking they may be saving the actual engagement for another season (start that season with the engagement, end it with the wedding). The beginning of the courtship will probably be the finale for this coming season. It's a little strange to think about how TLC takes these milestones and turns them into plot points for a TV show.

    17. He is probably going to ask Jinger if they can begin courting...

    18. No, I think that is the proposal for a courtship then a couple months later is the engagement bc I think they started courting around December-ish (I think!!!!) Love the duggars so much!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥

    19. Exactly. We have been through this before. It will lead up to courting just before season ends and pick up for engagement and wedding in spring.TLC will milk it for all it's worth.

    20. Are we going to have to go through this over & over & over until Josie gets married? Will they then start again with Kenzie's courtship? Come on TLC, find another family to film. There must be an interesting and intelligent and functional family somewhere in the country.

    21. Yes and that is going to be wonderful to follow them all!

    22. Just don't watch and you'll be fine

  2. Love it they are cute couple God bless. Super happy for them.

  3. And Jana will be doing what?

  4. Would love to see the little kids, too as well as the parents and Grandma.

  5. I think he's asking if she would begin a courtship with him! =)

  6. Looking forward to the return and would especially like to see some of the boys get some air time. So many of them are grown men now, do they have skills to support a wife or what do they do with all their time? Maybe not if they aren't courting yet? I can't imagine Jim Bob has enough properties to keep 6-7 men busy, 40 hours a week (including Ben, Josh, etc.). It seems like they don't really get any viewing time.

  7. I love the Duggars in general and want to see almost everything they communicate to the viewers. (Not excited to see their dental visits, sorry to Mr Handsome. I have no particular interest in watching them that much!) The most exciting viewing is going to be another dream come true courtship.

  8. That's when he asked her to be in a courtship.

  9. Will always watch any of the DUGGARS but will never get over TLC pulling most of the family from the show only to please radical haters. Christian bigotry at it's best.....this is TLC! Would love to see Michelle and Jim Bob views on Jinger's courtship and also the little guys. The interviews with the little guys on 19 kids was such a great thing to see. Just wish Christians had the equal rights that others do with TLC.

    1. What?? Don't follow your logic, betty. Nobody is stripping Christians of their rights or being bigoted. That's a huge accusation.

  10. It's very obvious the proposal shown is a courtship proposal (probably staged for cameras). We already know she got engaged in NYC so it can't be that

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes, the proposal happened well before us fans were notified, as well it should be, they need to hold on to some privacy for themselves before they share with the world all their news.Goos for them😁

    ReplyDelete
  12. Safe to say the so call proposal is just him asking jinger for an official courtship. Not the most romantic proposal

    ReplyDelete
  13. That is when they entered their courtship. There doesn't need to be more than one proposal because the courtship is intentional and Jinger knew it would very likely turn out with a proposal. In one photo where a comment said her ring hand was hidden the picture did not even extend to her hand.

  14. Cannot wait for Counting On to come back for there next season!

  15. Regarding Derick's long hair. He has a really long narrow face and when a person has that face shape its much more flattering to NOT pull back their hair in a ponytail to only show off more how long it actually is. He should choose a more flattering hairstyle. Also, Ellie do you know if Jill is pregnant, I'm looking at pics and beginning to suspect so.

  16. My guess is this is when he officially asked her to enter a courtship

    ReplyDelete
  17. And of course no Jana.

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is when he asks Jinger to officially court. They are so predictable it isn't funny.

  19. "...could John David, Joseph and Josiah be pursuing courtships?" Oh please, TLC, stop playing the tease. We're tired of your games with this show.

    1. It is wearing out our patience, I agree.

  20. Anything for money!

  21. No mention of Jana?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Totally agree with you anonymous 1.
I'd like to hear exactly what Derrick and Jill did to help people on their mission, a candid interview with Josh and Anna about any real progress, what Ben is doing for work and what those three boys plan to do post high school graduation. It would be nice to learn how JimBob and Michelle truly handled Josh's problem. Oh! And an update on Grandma Mary!!!

    1. Exactly the stuff I want to see too! :)

    2. Agree except it should only be Anna. Josh doesn't need screen time on TLC ever again.

    3. I too would like to know that, plus what is Joy doing now that she graduated. I hate to see Jana at 26 years old not able to financially support herself. John talks about being financially independent, and living at his own place.

  23. God bless them - all the family.

  24. The correct shortening of the word is actually "till," not "'til." You can google the explanation.

    ReplyDelete

    1. 'til is short for until. It's not spelled untill. I think we all catch the drift anyway.

  25. Just wondering...the one book is called 20 and counting..why? Did they call it that when Michelle was expecting Jubilee?

    1. No. That was when Michelle was expecting Josie.
      18 kids + 2 parents = 20 family members.

  26. I have enjoyed the Duggar Family for a few years now and was looking forward to the new episodes starting at the end of the month. I usually don't watch programs on TLC but I turned on TLC just to see if they had a commercial for your upcoming show. Unfortunately I saw a commercial, I think for a program they may have coming on TLC in the future. I was shocked to see the little I saw. I may have to find some other way to watch your episodes. I do not support this channel.

    1. TLC has no ethics, only greed. And the Duggars are just as greedy for playing right into that channel's line-up.

  27. I'm sorry to say that I'm just not that interested in "courtship 3.0" with Jinger and Jeremy. TLC will also be so far behind actual time it's just not worth it to see old news. They will not show this couple's wedding for many, many months to come. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Looking forward....god bless you all

    ReplyDelete
  29. Is Jinger moving to Texas when she gets married?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Time between courtship and marriage, the wedding should be in September if not this weekend. :-)
TLC needs to get back to actual time filming the Duggars.
