  1. Israel is one of the most adorable one-year-olds ever! It is easy to see that is is thriving in Central America. Israel will accomplish much in his life with such exceptional parental role models, the deep and expressed love of all the Duggars and Dillards, and the guidance and abiding love of God.

  6. Okay, so three posts so far about Israel's birthday? It's like he's the only kid who has ever had a birthday. A bit ridiculous, no?

  13. Making such a big deal about this birthday. Treating this child like a celebrity. He is going to grow up not understanding his place in this world. Wow.

    2. How is celebrating a child's first year of life supposed to ruin him? I'm sure he will be just fine. I think it's wonderful to make a big deal out of your child's first birthday celebrity or not.

    3. They also made a big deal about his birth and every other kids birth and birthdays. This site is meant to be about their lives Jill having Israel is part of it. I understand your concern when it comes to him being made a celebrity. He can choose when he is older whether he'd like to be or not but now its up to his parents.

    4. Really? You mean only celebrities should celebrate a baby's first birthday? Please explain.

  14. Please calm down people who are upset about Israel Birthday posts. To begin with you do realize this is a Duggar blog(even though Israel is a Dillard)Secondly,It's a first birthday and everyone of his family is happy. After the delivery Jill had there should be celebrating.I say Birthdays should make everyone feel like a rockstar especially children.

  15. People usually do make an extra special big deal about the FIRST birthday. Nothing wrong with that. What's annoying is that Josie gets a ton of posts every birthday.
