It's Not to Late to Support the Duggars

As of this morning, 19 Kids and Counting has been canceled. (Click here for details.) However, there is still time to show your support for the Duggars and to urge TLC to rethink it's decision.

Post a comment explaining why you want 19 Kids and Counting to remain on the air, and then head over to SupportTheDuggars.com to sign the petition.

Our blog will continue to run as usual, so come back often for updates. We have been blogging on behalf of the Duggars for nearly six years and will continue to stick with them.

  1. I do support the Duggars but I won't be signing the petition. No one has a 'right' to a TV show and all the fame and wealth that that brings. TLC took a long time to come to this decision. They have now been on the air for over a decade and are very wealthy as a result. I wish the Duggars well and I hope they will still share the joys in their life with us occasionally.

  2. Such a shame. One of few shows on the air I didn't hesitate to watch with my children (though usually recorded, so we could fast-forward through commercials!).

Thank you that y'all will continue to blog about this precious family. They still have my support!!

  3. I am so glad you are continuing with the blog. Christian values are suppressed too much in our society and this family is a wonderful example to us all. Of course they are not perfect none of us are.

  4. I support the Duggars 100%. There family has taught me a lot over the years. I was only 15 years old when I had my first baby and I didn't know much, but watching how Michelle was always so kind and gentle with her young ones was very inspiring. Thank u so very much Michelle. So TLC please bring the family back on air:)

  5. Better yet, perhaps another cable network will snatch up this golden opportunity to showcase the Duggar family. The irony is that the only people railing against this awesome family are the haters that were never fans. Those who faithfully watched the show have never wavered in their support. TLC is joined at the hip to their sponsors and can't move forward without advertisers. A grassroots efforts to change their minds will fall on deaf ears when the bottom line is all about money.

  6. Our family has enjoyed the Duggar show for years. Their life is entertaining without crude, inappropriate content that most other shows contain. Every family endures t rials. My prayers are with the Duggars as they endure this specific trial.

  7. This show is one of the few that is good and wholesome with values and morals. I will no longer watch TLC unless they put the show back on.

  8. The Duggars are not perfect but, they've never claimed to be. Michelle made some political comments last year that I thought were wrong but, I'm sure she wouldn't agree with my politics, either. I think Josh has suffered enough for what he did. He was a teenager, exploring his sexuality and he crossed the line. Yes, what he did was wrong and his punishment was that he has been publicly shamed. He lost his career and cannot even support his family. Poor Anna has been collateral damage. I say, let the ratings decide their fate, not hate. I think that TLC owes the family that much !!!

    1. Yes I agree. I don't have all the same values as this family, but exposing Josh's mistakes was wrong on so many levels. He was a young teenager then and he was not charged with a crime dispite going to the police to report it. There are many adults who lead wonderful lives now dispite being "trouble makers" as teens. Josh's thought process as a somewhat sheltered young person is certainly different from what it has become today. The reporter and others involved in publishing this story are the ones who need to be punished. What has happened to them in all of this?

  9. The Duggar family, like many of us, tries to live according to God's word. They, like many of us are not perfect but strive to do what is right. What better example of "reality" could there be. Many of us make dreadful mistakes and do our best to live the rest of our lives trying to do better. If more people were encouraged to turn to God, perhaps there would be more compassion and harmony in this world. That is why I believe the show should continue and demonstrate the example of how a family handles situations such as this and moves on.

  10. I have been watching the Duggars since the show started I admire how the family dealt with Life as a large family and their christian values. Nobody is perfect and they are a normal family with problems. What happened was in the past and Josh changed his life around and he was a child back then. Everyone deserve a second chance. I prefer watch the Duggars whole day on tlc than some of the shows that is on right now. Despite the situation my prays, love and support are with the this family. I cried when I saw the news. I will truly miss watching my favourite show on tlc every Tuesday.

  11. My favorite show! I pray for the family everyday and especially Josh and his family. Most of today's
television is violent and very sexual. The Duggar's teach love, respect, love of God and all the things
the other programs do not. So much made out of this. Please bring them back!

    1. This is ridiculous over something that happened as a child and years ago. A great family value show is what we need, like this Little Couple, but no. Call what is good, bad while we are bombarded with inappropriate relationship on other shows and commercials!

  12. I am hoping that this is not the end. I am watching for another network to pick them up. I will support that station and it's sponsors! I love the Duggars and pray for them. I hope that we still can watch them somewhere. When you think of all the nonsense on TV, it is so crazy that they were cancelled. Debra Graem

  13. I support the duggars 100% they are the only good show on television no cussing etc... Bring a victim of real molestation, i don't see how what Josh did could be considered molestation inappropriate yes molestation no... Keep the duggars on the air we love them ALL!!

  14. The Duggar family has been an inspiration to me and a great example of what a loving Christian family should be like. I started watching the show long before it was even 19 Kids and Counting, and I feel as if the Duggars have become a part of my family. They have shown me how give unconditional love to everybody and glorify God no matter what happens, and for that I am thankful. I am very disappointed that TLC has taken them off the air, and I have avoided the network since then. I will continue to try and avoid the network unless the Duggars are put back on. I strongly believe TLC should reconsider their decision.

  15. I love this show! It show how people should be by respecting each other. Please bring it back!

  16. It is so much fun to watch the new babies come into the family and watch the children grow up. I am very sad the show is off the air.

  17. This show was the most wholesome reality show on the air. I didn't think that was possible! Hopefully someone else will pick them up if TLC can't be moved. A&E perhaps?

  18. I support the Duggars! Bring them back!

  19. Although i am not born again nor do I even classify myself as a Christian I enjoyed 19 Kids and Counting very much! I tried never to miss an episode and I'm not happy they cancelled the show. I enjoy all the shows about families the little people shows and Kate Plus 8. I will refuse to watch TLC if it drowns my airwaves with shows about little boys who's parents let them believe there girls and those fake Amish people and trashy gypsy sisters. If they can play those shows than The Dugger's can stay too!

  20. I agree that what Josh
did is wrong but you does not deserve to be treated like this this many years later TLC please bring me back 19 kids and counting I love that show I love the Dodgers Heidi use to tune in every Tuesday night please reconsider your decision

  22. The way I see it is that TLC has made a most likely bad business decision. I usually watched the show with my family and for the TLC Channel it was one of the main show and only show we watched for a while. The reason I believe that this is a bad decision for TLC is that they are taking off a show that many (I don't know the numbers) people enjoy watching. So in reality TLC is hurting their own business. Not only that but the reason that I have heard of seems a little over the top to cancel a show. I support the Duggars and hope that TLC reconsiders.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Move on Duggars. TLC does not deserve to make money off your family. Keep serving the Lord and He will continue to bless your family. Thanks for continuing the updates!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have watched every episode of the Duggar family since the beginning REPEATEDLY! They have strengthened my faith in Christ and in family. To cancel a show over something that happened and was dealt with four years before anyone ever heard of the Duggar family is ridiculous. God Bless this family. BRING IT BACK TLC! IT WAS THE BEST SHOW YOU HAD ON AIR

  25. We can applaud someone who changes their sex, approve of every possible debauchery imaginable, and claim it to be in the name of tolerance. Where is the tolerance now? Were the authorities not informed? Was counseling not sought? Were amends not made? The entire family suffers because of one person... Anyone remember a musician who was accused of this multiple times whose name is now revered? Didn't see any of his stuff canceled or branded. I am not saying that what happened was right, but enough is enough already. At least we've still got the Bates. I am sure they have people trying to dig up stuff on them as well.

  26. I support the Duggars, not because they are perfect, but because they share the same perfect Savior. I support the forgiveness and restoration the family has extended within their ranks. As a believer, that's what the gospel is all about. The world may never understand it. But they didn't understand Jesus when he walked the earth, did they.
    Blessings,

  28. I have enjoyed watching 19 Kids & Counting in the short time I have watched. Perhaps another network will pick them up, like UP NETWORK??? I hope, at least, the Duggars will continue to share their lives with us via YouTube. I personally think this whole thing concerning Josh has been COMPLETELY & ABSOLUTELY blown way out of proportion. It's disgusting (& oh so human) how this family has been raked over the coals, so to speak. I wish them ALL the BEST in whatever the future brings.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love watching them ALL grow up and their day to day life. Please bring them back.

  30. I hope another network picks them up, every family has skeletons in the closet and I think their were blown out of proportion. They did the time for the crime now MOVE ON.

  31. Please TLC, bring the Duggars back on!! They are a loving Christian family, and I have enjoyed watching them from day one! They don't deserve what has happened to them. Every family on God's earth has someone who has made mistakes. Where in the world is everyone's "Forgiveness"? BRING THE DUGGARS BACK ON TLC!!

  32. I enjoy watching the Duggars and Allow my children to watch it. Its about the only wholesome show left especially on TLC..... I have not watched TLC since the Duggars left... No point. All the other shows are NO GOOD.

  33. Wish all the Duggar's prayers And just to say We miss you and all your family -your show was my favorite TLC show.
Really not fond of the replacements.

  34. With so much junk on tv these days, everyone shouting tolerance , tolerance, tolerance this , tolerance that , WHERES the tolerance now ? I believe that the Duggars have been crucified and flayed wide open, and thrown away , mainly because they are Christians. They have NEVER claimed to be perfect..Why would they ? Come on , TLC , get real...You pulled 19 kids, but put on transgender kids etc ? WOW... that's a complete turn around.. TLC should hang their head in shame.. They turned on the Duggars, the film crew, who has very much become really close with this family, and all for....What ??? Because they have no spine and cant stand up , STRONG for anything..

  35. I support the Duggars family
they are a God Loving Family
and I think they should come back on Tv.

  36. Our family has enjoyed watching as well, and feel the issue was handled in a proper manner and healing has obviously happened. What family doesn't have skeletons in their closet.? What family of this world is perfect? NONE! Instead of sweeping this under the rug there is a perfect opportunity here to maybe help a family suffering the same kind of misfortune that continuing this show could help them. Please lets get rid of political correctness and expect flaws in all of us.

  39. I support the duggars it was a show that you could watch as a family I really hope that TLC rethinks their decision and brings the show back its one of the only good fami8ly shows left that doesn't have a bunch of garbage in it

  40. I love this show because its one of the few willing to show Christian values. I love how close the family is even as large as it is. Because of the show I want a courtship instead of a relationship that goes physical too soon.

  41. I was so sorry to hear your show had been canceled. You all are wonderful examples of how to lead a full Christian life. I hope that you all will continue to inspire your fans through social media!

  44. I think they should rethink their decision! I love watching the Duggars and was so glad to see something wholesome on T.V for once!!! PUT THEM ON!

  45. Please put the Duggars back on the air........ If you do not I will make sure I or none of my friends or family will watch TLC ever again.

  47. In this terrible world were people are going totally against God and what His Word says. It is nice to have a family that strive to please and honor Our Lord. They are not perfect, but this shows that despite our failures the Lord can change hearts and lives.

  48. I'd love for the show to continue on a more deserving network, it is very fun to watch the Duggars on tv and there is always something interesting going on with courtships and babies and whatnot. Maybe they should produce their own show from now on, they know they have a solid fan base.

  50. I miss the Duggar show. No I don't like what happened when Josh was a minor or the way the family dealt with it but I don't think it's right to punish all of them. I was doing awful things when I was around his age BUT I learned from it. I did drugs, drank, had a terrible thing happen to me etc. I have been with my Hubby since 17 (42 now) & I don't do anything like that now. You learn from your mistakes and learn to be a better person. God says who are we to judge!! The ONLY person this family really needs to answer too is the big man upstairs. Why don't you do a trial run with the show to see if it's worth pulling because I guarantee you the ratings for TLC will go back up I know I don't watch the channel now. I just don't think everyone realizes that this was something that was awful for Joshs sisters and having it all come back out has made them relive it. Now they are being hurt again by this putting their family in ruins so many years later. If anything don't allow Josh on the show. Or maybe do a show with the Duggar kids only. Like all the ones who are 18 & up. I just don't like seeing this happen. Plus can we mention that Oprahs show got the info along time ago and its just now coming out so maybe someone did this because of jealousy. That is the world we're in. Just saying I miss this show and wish another station picks it up if TLC is throwing it away.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I just signed the petition. I support this family 100% also. There are so many filthy shows on and this one is cancelled? This is Christian persecution at it's finest. Why should this show be forced off the air because of what one family member did when he was underage himself? Ridiculous. It is not like this just happened. It was over a DECADE ago. Yet all the filth can remain on tv???

    ReplyDelete
  52. glad to see you will still blog about one of my favorite families! Have been following them since they first came on TV. They are 'human' like others and make mistakes; and doing things as a child shouldn't have been allowed to be public in the first place; and try to ruin people's lives because you may not have the same values, etc. I hope TLC will reconsider.

    ReplyDelete
  53. This was one of the few shows on t.v. I could watch with my children as t.v. shows lack so much compare to when I was a kid. (Most have no morals or values.) I wouldn't consider myself a "Christian" but I believe being a good person is very important! I want my children to grow up to be good people that aren't selfish & horrible like many are becoming today. I think it is just ridiculous how people can be treated the way Josh is over something that happened SO long ago & I believe they are going completely overboard with it!! Like poor Paula Deen...I am SO not the same person I was many years ago. We grow, we mature, we learn life lessons and hopefully improve over the years. I would be devastated beyond words if you judged me today for something I did as a teen. I firmly believe every teen has done something they regret if not MANY somethings! I really hope this show comes back. If not, much love to you Duggar family. It has been lovely watching your show. Thank you for all the good you put into this world.

  54. I support the duggars 100% first of all it was twelve years ago second of all it was tlc's number one viewed show and they are not perfect but ya I don't even watch tlc because the only show I watched on there was 19 kids and counting

  58. Please keep the Duggars on the air. This is a GREAT show. Now everyone is perfect. We all sin in one way or another. Maybe Josh should not be put on the air anymore. I suppose that at 15 one has to know that it's wrong what he did. Why punish the entire family for his sin. Please do not cancel The Duggars.

  59. I was saddened to hear your show had been canceled. I want to thank you for allowing us to come into your home. My family enjoyed watching your family grow. Continue embracing good Christian values. It was good to know that other people feel as we do about living to please God. May God bless you all.

  60. What I saw in Josh's situation was a young boy who was confused about his adolescence and the thoughts that produces in all of us. I also saw a family who did everything in their power to help him and forgive him. I believe that redemption is possible, if it weren't we would all be hopeless following our first failure. Our platitudes say that failure is a stepping stone to success. But I guess that only follows for some failures? I agree that there are some bad people in the world who commit the same bad acts over and over, but not everyone does.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I think TLC's decision to cancel 19 kids & Counting is unfortunate. Even though many of us have not experienced such a close knit community (Jim Bob & Michelle could not have possibly, aside from choosing the company they keep, have raised their family all on their own) it was refreshing to witness the overall example of consequence when persons live, let go and let God. This now includes being able to stand after an onslaught of attack from the dark adversary.

As for the almost rabid focus on Josh Duggar - I can not comprehend how any thoughtful person can not see that his particular situation was dealt with using a full extent of judgement, responsibility and consequence executed by non other than Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Josh Duggar is not the first nor will he be the last then a boy to get caught up with experimentation with siblings and girls close to the family. The point here is that first of all the boy that Josh was did confess his temptation and his parents successfully made sure this was not going to get out of hand - retribution and restitution were made and this is much more that can be said for all manner of familial abuse - not just of a sexual nature either. This includes adult on adult behavior. If Josh Duggar has grown into a truly devoted husband and father there has been no legitimate reason to utterly humiliate this man not to mention shining a spotlight on his two sisters. Again a dark presence attacks. Even if improperly placed I might like to add that I would not want to hand over any child of mine to any of today's solely secular counsel.

I hope that TLC's upcoming documentary guesting Jill and Jessa nee's Duggar is not just one last grab for big ratings. Given the current climate of relentless pursuit and attempt to bring the Duggars/What They Stand For down perhaps TLC's decision to cancel 19 Kids & Counting was in deference to such heat. However I hope that TLC will hear those of us when we say that we can clearly see what is now left of their lineup of programing with some exceptions - retained shows that feature fine examples to the impressionable of adults physically fighting, gratuitous cussing (not really bleeped) to the extreme, what some might call the exploitation of children/mentally ill and so on. When it comes to the above stated behavior - TLC - you have plenty of competition out there in programing land and people will not have to depend on you for this sort of thing.

A final word to the Duggar family. Some in this world desperately need to see faith in action. Be a light to those whom God has called and chosen to understand all works of God do work to the greater good. God Bless You All.

  62. i love this show and so does my family. They need to bring it back please.

  64. My heart is saddened by the news of 19 Kids And Countings cancellation. This was one show I always looked forward to watching. They are an intriguing, remarkable & beautiful family that have taught me so much. I have faith that over time they will be back. They're not done yet. The families purpose is too strong. I have high hopes of one day meeting this special family. Like Jessa said on her interview, "We're just a family that's on TV." Sorry media you didn't break this family. God Bless

    ReplyDelete
  65. Our family so appreciates the honesty and transparency of the Duggar Family. Although their personal standards and code of conduct are very different from most, they consistently treat others with kindness and respect. It is highly unlikely that there's any family that is without a relative somewhere in their family tree that has committed some shameful, perhaps illegal act that they prefer others did not know. It is a travesty of justice that a retiring "law enforcement" official used a legal technicality to unprofessionally and maliciously disclose their private and deeply personal information for the apparent purpose of making this family the subject of public embarrassment and ridicule. What an indictment of hypocrisy upon those who have blasted the Duggars for refusing to make public a very tragic chapter in their family history; one they lovingly handled with the wellbeing of all their children in mind. Enough is enough. When will the rule of decency and common sense once again prevail? Why not reinstate the show and let the ratings speak for themselves. If there is no longer an audience for the show, then by all means cancel it. If public opinion really does have a voice then let it speak.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I really enjoyed watching the duggars and their family. I really think the show should go on and go on without josh. I don't understand why TLC wants to punish the whole family for Josh's wrong doings. So I hope they bring them back cause I love seeing there children growing up and there life adventures

    ReplyDelete
  67. The Duggar family are true role models. They love the Lord and have dedicated their life to sharing the love of Christ and the gift of his salvation. No one is perfect, we all sin. That is why God sent his son to die for us. So that we could have everlasting life. Duggar family keep on doing what your doing and living for the Lord.

  68. I don't understand how a few vocal radical people can get a very popular show canceled. This is just another example of how people of no faith can hurt those of us that do. We have very few shows on that we can watch with out vulgar themes and language. Sorry but I won't be watching TLC in the future until and if they bring tge Duggers back. AMC came to their senses and allowed Duck Dynasty to continue. I loved the wholesome message the Duggars were bringing.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I am not a Christian, at this time I am not sure what I am. I am a bi-sexual woman and a victim of over 16 years of molestation and abuse by a family member. I am ashamed of how people are treating the Duggars. I hate the political, social and personal opinions of a lot of people but I do not hate the person nor do I wish them harm. We as a society are so quick to jump on a bandwagon that hurts people we don't agree with and it is sad. The gay community begs, pleads and petitions for equality and love yet they refuse that love to those they hate. To me if you want to preach about loving everyone you should love those who you have a hard time loving. You should care about those who you disagree with, because hate doesn't accomplish anything. I am so disheartened by the reactions to the Duggars girls forgiving Josh...as if they have no right to forgive him and move on? As a victim I can say this NOBODY can tell another person how to handle being a victim! Each situation is different and the ONLY people that can say how to handle it is the victims and those affected by it! I am sorry but just because you hate that the Duggars don't like your lifestyle, or that they are actively seeking to stop it doesn't mean you get to decide a darn thing for the victims or the victimizers. If you want love and acceptance try giving love and acceptance!

  70. I love watching a show that has true values. We need more shows that isn't always cussing or having something to do with sex. I feel like the Duggar family are what we need. Every family has issues. We aren't God so how can we judge them.

  71. I miss the show it was only show on TLC I ever watched. I enjoyed watching their family grow up. Also able to learn more on giving my children. A better foundation. 72. We support the Duggars, and think that tlc needs to put them back on the air. They host a vast array of controversial shows that even offend my own beliefs, but it's their right to air those shows. The sugars were inspiring and refreshing, I don't agree with every aspect of their life, but it was nice to have a reality show that was relatable, & wholesome. Bring them back. That was the only show I watched on tlc anyways. I lived being inspired by their faith and family!

  81. I am so sad they decided to cancel the show! It's my favorite show and I love the Duggars, regardless of their past mistakes. They are obviously a genuine family and their example is so positive! PLEASE BRING BACK THE DUGGARS! :) the world needs them!

  83. As a Christian I am absolutely baffled by the cries of "Christian persecution" toward the Duggar family. This is not persecution. I think it is quite difficult for Americans to fathom what real persecution is considering the fact that Christianity is the dominate religion. TLC has made a fair decision based on crimes comitted, though reading this thread you would think it was a decision based on their faith. Far too much emphasis has been placed on forgiving the criminal, and not nearly enough on acknowledging the harm to the victims. This is a classic case of placing the victim second because the criminal happens to have a celebrity status. One final question, will there be a petition to get the FRC to rehire Josh?

  90. I support the Duggars 100%. I have been the Duggar family for the last year. I watched one show and I really liked it so I looked for more of them to watch. I really wished I started watching them when it first came on. They have changed the way I look at things now. I really miss watching the show after awhile you feel like part of the family since you take the time to get to know them
