Vuolos' First Snow

Snow has been spotted in South Texas! The forecast for the next week is sunny and warm, but residents were shocked to see a light dusting yesterday and today. Having grown up in Northwest Arkansas, Jinger is a bit more accustomed to snow than her new friends in Texas, but seeing snowflakes fall from the sky is exciting, nonetheless.

Have you had your first snow?

  10. Yep! I actually videotaped our first MN snow while at work. My coworker and I had constantly got sidetracked watching the snow "blizzard" outside. This is the first time in 10 years since my siblings along with my mother and I have seen autumn become winter. Hopefully we can get more snow by CHRISTmas.

    1. I'm orig from Minn, and now live in ND. It was very odd this year, mild Temps and no snow to really speak of until about Dec 4 or 5th. I'm defiantly used to winters up here. I'll never forget the winter of 96 and spring flood of 97! Blizzards every couple weeks!

    1. I have a sneaky suspicion that the new promo for the next season will play on this possible courtship. It will definitely help boost viewers.

  16. If it is true, it is Jana's news to tell. So if she tells Lily and Ellie and gives permission to tell us, then we will hear about it, officially, here. Hope for the best.

  22. I can only dream of the snow from my childhood in Ohio! Unfortunately I live in Florida. I'm having a "nightmare" of a hot, sunny Christmas. I HATE florida and I HATE the heat! Hard to leave though when all your kids and grandkids live here too!

    1. I lived in FL for 9 years after moving there from NY. I started to despise the heat and FL too. I think it was the change of seasons I missed most. I dont live in FL anymore, but after leaving behind family and friends, I would go back for them and put up with the heat! You have to admit that the beaches are great though and the summer thunderstorms!

  29. Having lived where snow is measured in feet, not inches, that amount of snow in the picture is laughable. That's like a heavy frost.

    1. It’s snow. It fell from the sky in flakes. Frost isn’t precipitation.

    ReplyDelete

    1. She does not need a skirt, pants are so much more comfortable!

      Delete
    2. The comfort of pants or a skirt depends on the style. Flannel jammie pants = very comfortable. Soft maxi skirt = very comfortable.

      Delete
    3. Oops, I should have said it depends on the style and fabric, of course! A straight skirt can be uncomfortable, tight jeans can be uncomfortable, etc.

      Delete
    4. 10:35 agreed, but when it's snowing I say pants all the way! Lol
