More Photos: Duggars in TN

On our Bates Family Blog, we shared photos sent to us by Taylor, a fan who accepted the Bates' open invitation to Trace and Carlin's recent graduation party. Click here to view Taylor's photos with the Bates family, and scroll down to see her pictures with the Duggars.

Taylor met Michelle Duggar at the Bates' church on Sunday morning and says she was exactly how she appears to be on TV.

Several of the Duggar kids were at the grad party, and Taylor was able to snap a few pictures.

  1. I wish their show, 19 kids and counting, would be brought back on TV. The Duggars have done a beautiful job with 18 of their 19 kids. I truly believe their oldest would have done everything the same no matter where he grew up or what family he was in.

    1. All 19. Josh changed his ways. Please show new pictures and interviews with him in them. I like him.

    2. You have no idea if Josh changed his ways. You could have said that of him after the last sister incident, but then look what happened later. He will have to prove himself changed the rest of his life, the way he conducted his life already.

    3. Actually, how kids turn out can be attributed a lot (not all) to parenting. I firmly believe that Josh is in need of help he will likely never receive due to strict religious beliefs/practices. There is no way to know whether he changed.

    4. And you don't know he didn't change so stop saying he did. God loves him just as much as he loves you. And Josh made a mistake they choose to forgive him so why can't every one else? Think about his family's feelings

    5. Poor josh, not for what he did but how he is treated NOW. People make mistakes and mistakes that are made when you were underage can not be charged on you. The wrong doing in this case lays with his parents in the way they wanted to ' fix ' it . His second mistake Well that is actually between him and Anna and god. Who are we to judge someone that is to god. And well I still have to meet the first politician who doesnt lie, so we could have known he would lie about something. If there were more people with a big heart as Anna what a great world would we be living in! She isn't putting herself first but her children. In my country alone 2 on 3 marriages end in an divorce if people work just half as hard as Anna does for their marriage then we didn't have this numbers in Holland.

    6. There is no poor josh! I can't believe people think he changed. It's called damage control. How many times does history have to repeat itself before people catch on!!!

    7. I married someone similar to Anna's husband. They don't change their ways. What they do feels pleasurable to them. They don't want to change. I wish that Anna could know that I was in the same situation. It is an addiction. They don't stop. Anna should leave him. God told me not to divorce my husband for reasons only He knew. But I did not have to stay with him while he continued in his sin. His sin was with children, babies, toddlers, boys and girls. I want Anna to know this.

    8. I don't think we can be the judge on if he has changed or not, time will tell. And second: we are human, we arent perfect. We make mistakes and with his mistakes HE has to live with! He has to look his wife, his children, his family and the world in the eyes and realise what he has done. And isn't forgiveness a big part of having faith?

    9. Love Josh and would support his photo being shown now or anytime. Shame on this Duggar support page for not showing it... That is not support as all. It's all excuses, just like TLC.

    10. I so wish this supposed Duggar fan page/support would post Josh now with his family. His fans support him, and their haters don't even matter. This page is showing as much support as TLC did and still does- NONE

    11. Ya I think the same Janet.

    12. Many people have no desire to see Josh again, after all the lies he and his family told.

    13. I married someone similar to what Anna married. They do not change as quickly as some think that Josh has changed. Child molesting, pornography addiction and adultery are very serious crimes. The problem is that those men that have these addictions enjoy it. It is pleasurable to them. I know from personal experience that saying sorry does not cure the addiction and stop the behavior. I have been praying that Anna would the truth. God told me not to divorce my husband. We were separated, though. I had my daughter to protect.

    14. Josh's actions were not mistakes. A mistake is when you wear a black sock and a blue one. Josh sinned. It's NOT THE SAME.

    15. Lynda from Canada my heart goes out to you! I hope you reported him and got your children as far as possible!

    16. My story is long but the answer to your hope is YES I DID. I loved him but not enough to hide him. We are fine and heavenly Father took excellent care of us as well as the church we were a part of.

    17. I think everyone needs to mind their own business. If they don't like Josh then don't get on this website or watch there show. What is it to you? You must like them if you keep coming back to the page. Stop being mean God forgives everyone. No body is perfect. Let it go. He has been forgiven so just forgive him and move on. Think about how the family feels reading these when they pour out their lives for people so they can share the Gospel. I think people need respect

    18. Lynda from Canada, so glad to hear that!
Anonymous: If you choose to be in the public eye, you also need to handle the criticism. Nothing in the world comes for free. But you are right, their is a difference between criticism and just being harshly.

    19. To Canada, you were blessed to have a caring chuch community. In our small town, the minister of one of the churches in town sexually abused his five year old daughter. The wife came home and caught him with the little girl and left him, removing the children from the house. The church removed him but also kicked the wife out of the congregation because she left her husband. I can't imagine being betrayed by your husband and your church. I think it was unconscionable for a church to do that.

  2. "She was exactly how she appears to be on TV." That says that what we see on TV is a public persona. They've gotten good at putting that on these days. They didn't used to be so media-savvy. Now it seems to rule their life. You have to wonder, when "family" has been turned into "business."

    1. No -- I think it means she's NOT putting on a TV persona.

    2. This is not a snark site, why so many tough comments?

    3. You seem to have pre-conceived notions without knowing these folks. Could it be that the Duggars are just friendly, hospitable, genuine people?

    4. Well they became an business the moment they agreed to do a reality show. They didn't do it for nothing they got paid. But that doesn't mean they are actors, so they act like they are. And the fact is WE DON'T KNOW THEM PERSONALLY! So we can't judge them. How can I know how the duggars are in their interaction with people if I life I Holland and never met them.

    5. The only way to know for sure is to be in the house when no "public" or friends are present, and no cameras are filming. We got a taste of what goes on then, last year with that Fox News interview and the police report, including the part about corporeal punishment.

  3. Very unusual that random strangers are invited to a family gathering. ????

    1. I have to wonder how security was handled there. It could be dangerous letting anyone into your party, especially after you posted on Facebook that everyone was invited. I'm not sure I'd take myself or my family into that sort of situation. Emotions are still running high about what was revealed last year. A fan with an agenda could have tried something.

    2. They did it for the presents, I would have done the same if I could when I was younger;)

    3. I love the blog about the Duggars, but I have to admit I am really tired of seeing pictures of fans who drove long distances to attend this party. I know it was an open invitation, but I just think it odd that you invite strangers.
