It has been a couple months since Jessa and Ben Seewald announced that they are expecting their sixth child. The baby is due this summer. Jessa took to YouTube to share a video of her morning routine, in which she also answers questions about her pregnancy and birth plan. The Seewalds are continuing their tradition of finding out the gender but waiting until the baby arrives to announce it.

Henry and Spurgeon have really grown and George is so cute. Not sure we all need to know her morning routine, maybe some good tips for mothers with kiddos at home. The level of marketing that goes on in Jessa, Joy and Jingers videos is a little annoying but hey a bucks a buck.
ReplyDeleteShe lost me when she brushed the floor with her hair brush. There are such things as Swiffers and brooms.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually take time to watch the videos, so I'll just ask. Why was she doing that??
Delete@1:43 Because she doesn't know any better? Because her mother never told her it wasn't right? Because nobody ever cleaned but the girls, and they made up their own ways? Who knows. Not really something you need to show the public that you do as an adult and mother of 6.
Delete3:44, not very helpful. I was looking for someone to explain what happened.
Delete3:55 she brushed the floor with her brush after brushing her hair, in order to clean up hair that made it to the floor.
DeleteThank you, 6:24!
Delete4:12 You're welcome!
DeleteI enjoyed watching this morning routine video!
ReplyDeleteJessa is a heartfelt, sincere person who really invests as much love as she can into every moment of everyday! Wishing their family the best everyday!
Many other women do that too, without feeling the need to show everyone by put it in a video (and trying to make money from it). In fact, one might say that time spent filming and narrating your life is time not spent focusing on your family. How would you feel if you were a child and anything you do might be put online forever by your parents? Something to consider.
DeleteJessa is doing the right thing to spend a few minutes producing a youtube video. WHY take such a dark view of what is a very accepted form of media?
DeleteAlot of known and getting out there everyday people share on social media now. I don't really know what the children think, I imagine they will realize many people post on the media.
Jessa is special in that she knows she is in a position to share her personal life and sharing does not detract from what she does for her family. I think it is special that she has drawn people into a personal relationship with the Lord too.
I love to watch Jessa’s videos!
DeleteShe is such an inspiration to me ( a Great Grandma) She is so down to earth and loves, God, her family and others! She wants to encourage others and gives helpful hints. She is humble and thankful to God for all He has given her!
@4:51 She never asks the kids first if they want to be online, she just puts it out there. Growing up the way she and her siblings did, she should be VERY aware of how that could harm her children in the long run, as well as right now. Her sister Jinger can't seem to stay away from the lure of the camera and fame either, even though she plays her game of "I'm not showing faces so my kids aren't ~really~ online."
DeleteI LOVE U JESSA U N BEN MY FAVE COUPLE SINCE 2014!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJustine You LOVE ALL THE DUGGARS
Delete100 💯-1
DeleteI agree with Jessa…. I love Michelle’s sweet, gentle manner. I’d like to be like her, too!
ReplyDeleteFor those who mock Michelle's way of speaking, I would rather have had a mom who spoke like that than one who yelled a lot.
DeleteI'd rather have a mom who reacts honestly to her emotions and doesn't try to artificially "stay sweet" even when the situation isn't sweet and everyone else knows that. That would make me worry about her mental health.
DeleteYou need to be yourself God loves you no matter what. You don't have to be like Michelle
Delete12:16, "reacting honestly to your emotions" (yelling a lot) is very traumatizing to a kid. You can have self-control and handle things in a way that is safe for your kids. Your emotions don't have to be the boss.
Delete@4:15 Nobody said yell at your kids. Just don't play false emotion games in front of them. You end up with kids afraid to express their true emotions for fear of not being loved and accepted. Then later, they write tell-all books about you...
Delete4:15, Did you have a mother who yelled at you a lot? Because your mind went directly to yelling. There are other ways to react honestly to emotions. You can say you're angry or upset or hurt without yelling. Michelle won't do that though. It's all baby voice and sweet-sweet all the time. That's not being honest with yourself or your kids.
DeleteJessa you are a terrific mother! I admire your faithfulness to take the time to pour your love, guidance, and patience out on your family to teach your little ones to do right and love the Lord and others! You remind me of your Sweet Mom!
