  14. Every Easter they have a new baby - in 2019 Garrett was not even a year old, in 2020 Addison was like 5 months old, this year Brooklyn is not even 2 months old.

    1. So true. Kendra seems to enjoy having babies.

      Delete
    2. Indeed. A major "yikes" factor if you ask me!

      Delete
    3. 6:34, so? Let her enjoy the babies! They are a gift

      Delete
    4. @10:00 I'm not sure if you're implying that women should keep having kids because they're a "gift." If Kendra wants and enjoys a big family, that's fine... for her. It isn't for everyone and there's nothing wrong with that. I have have been very happy with our decision to limit our family size to two children.

    5. 2:47, she was talking about Kendra, not you.

  15. They look genuinely happy. Kendra looks amazing for just having a baby! She’s such a pretty girl. Seems to look more and more like her mother as she gets older.

    1. Sometimes little babies have that issue. I think their circulation isn't quite developed yet, so that can happen to their hands or feet.

      Delete
    2. I was concerned about that too and Garrett's teeth/gums.

      Delete
    3. 7:45, it makes sense that Garrett’s gums and teeth look bad. The Duggars don’t exactly have healthy diets. Unhealthy food leads to poor gum/dental health.

      Delete
    4. I'm looking at the same photo and can't for the life of me understand how someone can determine from it that Garrett's teeth are bad! That is a ridiculous stretch!

      Delete
    5. You could see Israel's teeth were bad in every picture posted at that age, until Jill finally addressed it publicly.

      Delete
    6. 10:10, you have to zoom in the picture and be looking nit-pickingly close. It does look like his gums extend further down his teeth than normal, but I don't know what causes that.

      Delete
    7. 11:21 Nit-picking is right. Someone has too much time on their hands if they have to zoom in on photos to find something to criticize.

  26. Kendra looks amazing for a new mom of a 6 weeks old and taking care of 2 other kids after 3. It just seems so easy for her to have these kids. I'm almost expecting the next one be born by the time Garrett is 4.

    1. She does indeed look amazing. So far all her children are about 17 months apart, so if they keep going at this rate, the next pregnancy announcement would be 8 months from now

      Delete
    2. The girls are only 15 months apart

      Delete
    3. She does look great! I hope she takes good care of herself so she can continue to have energy to be a great mom. I learned that the hard way myself. :(

    4. @3:09 - Addie was born 17 months after Garrett, now Brooklyn was born 15 months after Addie... the gap get smaller. Maybe the next baby will be born with a 13 weeks gap, next March. She might be announcing around their aniversary in September then. Just pregnancy takes so much from a woman, many recommend to just let yor body erst for longer.

    5. My mom had 4 of us who very close in age. I was the oldest. I came 11 months after my parents married. A brother came 1 year 3 days after me. Then my sister, about 16 months later. Then another brother about 20 months after my sister. The births were from late Nov 1952 to early Jan 1957. She turned 43 two weeks after she had my youngest brother.

      Delete
    6. I would hope she doesn't look worn out yet. She's still very young.

      Delete
    7. I wonder if she was able to make breastfeeding work for her in her last few pregnancies. I hope so, if that’s what she wants. That also helps with child spacing in many cases.

  27. They must do nothing all day but change diapers. I can't even imagine how endless that job must be in their house.

    1. Just changing two kids is not a big deal.

      Delete
    2. 6:43 LOL you must not be a parent then!!

      Delete
    3. 6:43 - Garrett could still be in diapers as well. Not sure if it, but it’s definitely a possibility. He is still just 2 years old.

      Delete
    4. 10:01: FYI, I'm a professional nanny and changing two children is not a big deal.

      Delete
    5. @6:43 - it's about 10 diapers a day for a newborn and about 6 for an older baby, and they all pee or poo at different times, so it could be like over 20 times a day to change (their oldest kid I'm sure also still in diapers, he is not even 3). It's like neverending thing. I think that kendra's family probably is helping a lot, either come to help, or we saw that Garrett is always playing with Caldwells' younger son. So that could be helpful. Otherwise it's insane, especially if the baby does not sleep at night.

      Delete
    6. 7:43, Garrett is almost three. Hopefully he’s potty-trained at this point!

      Delete
    7. Boys often train later according to my pediatrician; he said their sphincter muscle develops later than in girls. My oldest was nearly 3 when he broke, but then he broke in 2 days. It was wonderful! My youngest was a different story....we won't go there!

      Delete
    8. I doubt Garrett is potty trained yet. Boys can be slower to train, and Kendra was pregnant last year plus had another baby in the house. It would have been hard to get a boy that young fully trained (day and night) before a new baby came.

      Delete
    9. I really doubt that he's potty trained. Jessa's Henry, who is seemingly smart, was wearing a diaper merely a few days before his 4th birthday.

      Delete
    10. 1:37 Not all kids are potty trained by their third birthday. There can be regression in this department, especially when there is a new baby in the house. I speak from experience on this. I thought for sure my son would start kindergarten wearing diapers, but nope. At 3 years and 3 months old, he put on his underwear and that was that. Never an accident. (BTW, that boy is now an electrical engineer with a Master's Degree, making more money than I ever dreamed of.)

      Delete
    11. Changing nappies is not difficult. If one cannot handle it perhaps one should not have children.

      Delete
    12. No, nappy changing is not difficult but why space your children so close together that it - and lots of other things - will dominate your days for years? Also some people can't afford 3 in diapers at once. My church has a diaper bank for this very reason.

      Delete
    13. 10:34, I think it's the number rather than the difficulty, but it's still not that big a deal.

      Delete
    14. @10:34

It's extremely difficult and repulsive to a lot of people. That's one of the main reasons I never had children.

      Delete
    15. 10:20, changing diapers is not extremely difficult. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh, my goodness. I was doing it as a 12 year old babysitter. But it's probably a good thing you didn't have children, because parenting involves things that are actually difficult.

      Delete
    16. It's expensive to have 3 in diapers and some people can't afford it so they need donations. This past year has been especially hard for some. So don't think that it's no big deal.

      Delete
    17. @10:20 It's a good thing you never had children if changing diapers on a baby was an issue for you. Just remember, someday you may have to rely on caregivers to change YOUR diapers! I changed my mother's diapers in the months before she passed away. When circumstances present themselves, it's surprising what you can muster up the courage to do.

      Delete
    18. 2:06, no one was talking about the cost of diapers, they were talking about actually having to change diapers. Which is no big deal. I had five kids. You just change them.

      Delete
    19. @9:30- While I'm glad for you (and your children), just because it's not a big deal for you doesn't mean it's not for someone else...nor should anyone be made to feel that they are less than in any way because they're bothered by changing diapers. Not everyone is like you. Some people (like me) for some reason have a highly developed sense of smell. It's great for the many times I've detected natural gas leaks in multiple businesses (that the gas company employees had trouble locating). But it can get a bit dicey when I'm cleaning up after a child who's vomited or assisting a vomiting elderly neighbor. Sometimes what we take for granted because it's easy for us, may not be for someone else.

      Delete
    20. @9:30 All those diapers you had to change didn't fall from trees. Cost is a big deal for some. So is the time it takes to make so many diaper changes each day. Every time you turn around you have to drop what you're doing, lose your train of thought or momentum, and go change someone. That's not easy for some parents to deal with, and it's always the parent who's home all day who gets the most work.

      Delete
    21. Yeah, I was home all day with my five, doing most of the changing. It still wasn't a significant part of my day.
