Jim Bob and Michelle in Branson

It has been quite some time since we've posted a picture of just Jim Bob and Michelle, so we thought we would share this one. It was taken in Branson, Missouri, which is less than two hours from the Duggars' home in Northwest Arkansas. This July, Jim Bob and Michelle will celebrate 37 years of marriage. That means it won't be long before their ruby anniversary!

  1. Cue all the, "How dare they drive two hours from their home and take a picture of them not wearing a mask," folks. They make these comments so much more lively.

    1. Yeah. It's not as though this was a week long trip. Probably just a day trip.

    2. And rightfully so!

    3. I was thinking boring and predictable rather than lively. What else can we discuss about this post? 37 years is a long time! I wonder what their top memories are, their most important things they've learned, the things they love most about their spouse, the pet peeves.

    4. I was thinking the same thing @6:50pm. After all, smiles look so much better with a mask and it covers unbrushed teeth and bad breath.

    5. Well, to be honest even if I did criticise them for not been too keen on keeping distanced from others, let's be honest, they're surrounded by snow not people, and as for driving there, you can't pass the virus from car to car, I think the metal is a pretty good shield, I mean obviously it's unrealistic to keep isolated we still need to live a life but at least do your best to social distance, I do plenty of walking, I'm not cooped up inside, and when I need to go where people are I wear a good tight mask with a filter, that's my advice to all, so let's all do our best to get rid of this virus.

    6. @5:43 But driving anywhere away from home involves staying somewhere other than home, eating meals away from home, etc. All of those are risky. Even making a rest stop will expose you to others.

    7. 11:25, if you can go to the grocery store safely, you can go to a restaurant stop safely.

    8. 5:08 Your comparison doesn't wash. For starters, you remove your mask in a restaurant in order to eat and drink, as does everyone else. You are also more likely to spend a longer period of time in a restaurant than you would in a grocery store. Also, restaurants are typically much smaller spaces than a supermarket.

    9. Not true, 5:08. You have to wear a mask in the grocery store...it’s impossible to eat with a mask on.

    10. My phone changed "rest" stop to "restaurant" stop. I agree with you about restaurants, but a rest stop would be a different situation.

  2. Meanwhile, Jana's at home making sure everyone is fed, has clean clothes, the house is cleaned, and the homework is done.

    1. Why would Jana need to do that? Most of them are adults or teenagers and should be able to take care of themselves.

      Delete
    2. Whatevs. The teens are capable of supervising and taking care of themselves.

    3. For one thing there's not a person in that family back at their home who can't now do all of those chores you mentioned for themselves. And, are you assuming you know the whole of it there?
But then too, this is a very special time and the Dad and Mom are to be honored. Maybe you should turn the light on yourself and ask what is it about yourself that makes you bark snark back when something nice like this, about their'family',is kindly shared on a fan blog?

    4. Ya know , they are not babies anymore and can take care of themselves. I'm sure just an adult supervisor is all that is needed. And guess what, the family aren't hermits, they have friends and other adult children that would help out.

    5. I don’t think Jana lives at home anymore. She’s never shown or spoken about.

    6. Maybe she just wants her privacy is my guess.

    1. Need, schmeed. Let her do what she likes with her own hair.

    2. Jim-bob please ask the wind not to blow ( especially those wind gusts!) so people like @12:01 don't make silly comments about Michelle needing a haircut. My goodness I better make sure I stop taking selfies outside too!😮

    3. To this day I don’t get why Michelle still has that 80s haircut. Even Kelly Bates has modernized her hair just the right amount. At least she doesn’t look like she lives in another decade

    4. Because Michelle is fine with her hair. That's why.

    5. Naw. She likes the style she adopted 30 years ago.

    6. They did an episode, I think was on the origina 19 kids and counting, where they gave Michelle a make over. Her hair was straightened. I really liked it, but she did not.

    7. Michelle hair looks good. The 80's hair is better then the hair they were know.

    8. she definitely needs a haircut. She's too old for hair that long. Once a woman reaches a certain age it can age her. On one of the old shows her friend took her to get a makeover. Her hair was straightened and it looked good on her.

    9. Maybe she cares more about having hair she feels comfortable with than about what age she appears to be?
