Felicity at 2 Months

Felicity Vuolo is now eight weeks old! We know our readers are eager to see footage of this little sweetie on Counting On, but until then, we'll all just have to settle for photos. Hope you enjoy this snapshot of a daddy-daughter moment.

    1. I so agree! Her eyes and wrinkle on top of her nose when she smiles, mama's twin.

    2. Oh, man. I agree. Does she ever!

  5. I wish this entire family's world views and tolerances were as beautiful as their pictures. No amount of artful photography can cover up discrimination, though. Don't be fooled. If they photographed everything they've ever said, the pictures would never get posted. It saddens me to see continual positive spin being put on what are some deep, troubling, basic social problems.

    1. tolerance does not mean you have to agree with something. I don’t agree with every little thing the Duggars think, but I’m not going to complain about them, because I believe just as you are free to have your own opinions, they are also free to have theirs.

    2. Anon 11:09. I don't think Jeremy is part of the shortfall doctrine. I think that might be were all the controversial teaching came from. I think he is Calvinist but not sure what jinger is tho.

    3. You ask many religious people what their views are on those basic social issues, and many times, you'll find they have the same answers as the Duggars. In my opinion, opposing views keep balance in the world and keep people questioning, analyzing, evaluating and re-evaluating everything...and I think that's good for us. Where would we be without balance?

    4. They are beautiful!!!
      God bless this family!

    5. Just one question. Have you ever spent even one hour talking with them?

      Delete
    6. They are not intolerant. If you don’t like what the Bible says, then take it up with God. He made the world, and He is truth. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says. What does God say?

      Delete
    7. Because their world views don't line up with yours??? You discriminate and sadly you don't even realize it.

      Delete
    8. Why are you even on this site if your going to be negative? No one is perfect and none of them claim to be. Leave the judgement to God.

      Delete
    9. Tolerance goes both ways. Just because they have different world views than you do, doesn’t mean they’re wrong, and doesn’t make them “not beautiful.” They ARE a beautiful family who have had a positive impact on many, many people.

      Delete
    10. Just because someone’s views do not match up with your own does not make them wrong nor troubling. Tolerance is a two way street.

      Delete
    11. Please don’t vomit your negative rhetoric here. If you don’t like the Duggars there are bashing blogs, this blog is for people who enjoy the Duggars.

      Delete
    12. What is not beautiful about their world views? They model Biblical Christianity, which is always beautiful!

      Delete
    13. I don’t think they Duggars are discriminating. I wish more people would take a stand for Biblical values. Yes, the Duggars are not perfect and have made mistakes but they are taking a stand for what they believe in and that’s what America is (or was) all about. You have the right to express your opinion and so do the Duggars.

    15. What ever are you talking about 11:09? No one is forcing you to read this blog. Have you been "assimilated" like Star Trek the Borg do or Doctor Who's Cybermen? No! If you don't like what's posted here then it's fine to go read anti-Duggar sites. But no one is forcing you to read those either.

      Delete
    16. I'm not even sure what you mean by "if they photographed everything they've ever said" as it's impossible to do that; did you mean "if they recorded everything"?

As for "don't be fooled" I think most fans are aware that the Duggars have very conservative views on social issues. This is a FAN blog, so of course there is going to be a "positive spin".

I'm sure you know there are many sites that generate continual NEGATIVE spin about the Duggars. It doesn't sadden me at all that there is at least one well trafficked website out there that has a more sympathetic view.

      Delete
    17. Anon 11:09 What do you mean by discriminate? I'm not clear on what you mean. If you say something and want to make a point you can't just send out vague remarks like that. There is always room for varying opinions on blogs but you have to be clear on what you are trying to say. Perhaps someone could clear up something you are saying you are against. Just a thought.

    18. What is wrong with you people? I read what the poster wrote and although I don't agree, I also think your responses are vicious. We are suppose to be the Christians here and if someone comes along and makes statements like the poster did then how about acting a little civilized in your responses. Good grief you guys worry me more then the poster does. How in the world are you so angry about a statement made about a reality tv show family? If what social media says about them bothered them half as much as it bothers you people then they would be off social media.

    19. 11:09 - I understand what you are saying. I really do. In seminary our denomination taught that you do not build up your religious beliefs by putting others down. I really believe Jeremy is a faithful person, and God will guide his ministry in God’s way in God’s time, building up the Church as the entire Body of Christ.

    20. Anon 11:09 -- Against whom have the Vuolos discriminated? Please share some examples, or even one example.

    21. What a foolish comment... smh

      Delete
    22. Anon 5:58. This is one thing God says and that is not to be busy bodies in and out of each other's houses which is exactly what reality shows do. They take people in and out of their houses and tell personal things to everyone which God clearly says is wrong. God instructs us to live private lives. So Jeremy who is a Pastor should know that instead of making money on creating busy bodies. So let's be careful about lifting up people instead of God.

      Delete
    23. God knew there would be celebrities and reality shows and social media? Wow.

      Delete
    24. Anon at 205PM: If you believe that, then I hope you're not watching the show yourself, as that would make YOU a busy body, and therefore a hypocrite who has no standing to condemn the Vuolos. Reminds me of a man who slobbers over an "immodest" woman then sanctimoniously accuses her of sinning.

    2. Yes, thank goodness, we can see the baby’s hair finally. I just can’t stand those headbands they want to put on babies. I never did that with mine because everyone wanted to see the hair!

    1. Your time will come. Keep praying!

      Delete
    2. What are you doing while you are praying? Often we meet the right one while we are busy in the world serving God.

      Delete
    3. When God reveals God’s plan for you, in God’s time, you will understand and be amazed. God knows you best of all, and when God’s will for you happens, in God’s perfectl way, you will pray, “Thank you.”

      Delete
    4. Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm still praying, but sadly running out of time.

    5. I once met a 90 year old woman who had been a kindergarten teacher. Her voice was faint, she was nearing the end of her life, she had never married. When asked how many children she had, she would raise her hands and say “thousands”(speaking of her students). Her family said when she was young she longed for a husband and a family....it wasn’t to be.

Gods will/path is sometimes so different from our hopes and dreams, but in the end we are joyous about the life we lived. Keep praying, but know that your heart will be filled and your life will be good as long as you remain open to what He has for you.

    6. Kathy Borders- You express some nice sentiments. However, I can't help but wonder about the countless innocent children suffering throughout the world- from neglect, abuse, war, hunger, etc.- is that's God's will for them, too? I'm afraid that the God's will logic just doesn't quite add up.

    8. 6:55 People twist that to say that it's man's fault those bad things happen, because we're sinners, or some other such convenient explanation. So it's right back on us, in their eyes.

  27. Interesting discussion. May I add that I never could understand how Derick wanted us to admire pictures of his own children, after he so publicly said the most hurtful things about someone else's child..... That's not right. That never sat well with me. Glad this issue got aired.
