  2. Happy birthday! She sure has packed a lot of living into her 52 years...19 kids, 7 married, 1 engaged, 12 grandbabies! We're 59, University is now done for our 3 kids, no married, no grandbabies... We'll be ANCIENT grandparents, haha.

    1. I predict a surprise pregnancy, Jim Bob always wanted to end on an even number. They will name him Jubal or Jethro.

    2. What a great 52 birthday present a new baby would be for Jim Bob and Michelle! I predict 10 lbs.

    3. It's possible. My grandmother had my father at 49. And I remember reading of a lady who had one in her fifties, after she had thought she went through the change several years prior. Surprise!

    4. I think Michelle will have a red-haired little girl, named June Surprise Duggar. 8 lbs.

  26. Best Birthday Gift Idea! Since Michelle has such a huge, loving Mother's heart, what a gift it would be to have ALL her children under one roof again, all at the same time, for a slumber party the night before her Birthday to ring in Birthday morning! The in-laws could be a solo parent for a night (even for nursing babies! 12 hours perhaps, not a lot of sacrifice for their Mom for all she's done for them:-)

As great as time is, it is sad just the same in ways. As selfless as Michelle has been through pregnancies, labor, delivery and raising these children, to now having them missing from her nest (a Mother's biggest emptiness in her heart and spirit) I can't think of a better gift for her, one she deserves and the siblings and Jim Bob would also enjoy it! Mother's Day would be another option! And, it's free!

Please consider this gift for this amazing Mom!

Happy Birthday, Michelle, you are admired and beautiful sweet lady and I hope this idea comes to fruition for you! You deserve to have all your babies in your nest for one night, like the good old days, saying goodnight and good morning in person in your house! It would be great if it became a new family tradition, too!

    1. I'm a mom of adult children. While it was a bit sad for awhile to have them leave home, it hasn't left me with an empty heart and spriit. Far from it, it gives me great satisfaction to know that they are capable and independent people, who are finding success in this world on their own terms. I think the worst thing a parent can do is give their children the impression that leaving the nest was devastating for them. Leaving home is a natural and healthy thing. BTW, the married Duggar kids spend a lot of time at their parents' home. It doesn't seem as though JB and Michelle are being deprived of their company.

    2. IMHO none of the Duggar "kids" have really left the nest, except perhaps Jinger (and even she has spent a lot of time in AK, she came to Josiah's wedding, even though she was almost full term).

The other married "kids" live very close to the "big house", Joe and Kendra pretty much live in the back yard. And the married boys still work in the "family business".

  28. Guess at this age Michelle decided it was time to stop having kids..my question is was this a natural my body can't have any more kids thing..or did she do something medically to stop having kids..good question considering the Duggars don't believe in birth control..#womanarenotheretojusthavebabies!!

    1. From what they showed on 19KC, it was from natural aging. Michelle and Jim Bob were actively trying for baby number 20. They went to a doctor to determine why she couldn't conceive after Jubilee and it was determined she was in perimenopause.

    2. It's called menopause. I was finished with it 16 years ago at age 48. I can tell you it was a new lease on life!

    3. Miracles an happen, even after a woman seems to have passed menopause. It's happened!

    4. I hope they do have another baby! That would be so wonderful!
