  1. Guessing this is going to be another super short season with two hour episodes.
Not complaining exactly, because I really enjoyed last week’s show.
Hoping there will be another Fall season to follow in October or November!

  2. Are they competing with the Bates? Or was it inspired by Josiah and Lauren's honeymoon choice?

  3. This is very cute to watch. I have one question about why is TLC showing these episodes as 2 hour episodes, vs one hour? Two hours is a long time to sit and watch at once.

    1. I’m afraid if it’s two hours each time that it will be a very short season.

    2. Per the Showtimes link on this blog next week's episode is only an hour long.

  5. Thank You TLC for letting Michelle and the younger children be on! I know that I miss seeing the rest of the family! In fact I wish Jill had been in last weeks episode with all the other girls in the restaurant Anna also.

    1. Jill and Anna are choosing to not be on the show though, and I think that choice should be respected.

    2. It’s possible that they were there but just not filmed.

  7. Amen! Those bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there! Praise God! Sing it little sister!

  8. Wow, that's a Duggar-sized episode! Ellie, do you know many weeks this season will be?

    1. I wonder why tv families real or fiction try to record music. The Brady Bunch did it and it was terrible. The Duggars have several musicians among their kids and are great when they perform at a conference, I however will not be buying an album. I say stay in your lane.

    2. I'm not sure either as I'd wonder if the money is actually going to the kids who did most of the work. Though that could be also be said of the show itself, at least Counting On hadn't shown much of the younger kids...at least until the latest episode.

    3. The album is super cute. They sound very similar to other kids' faith-based CDs we've listened to over the years. I think they did a good job.

  12. Josie cute. She getting big and she 8 years old oh ready. I wish can hear her sing but I’m hard of hearing as deaf. Good job mom Michelle. I still loves you guys and I’m very happy that you back TLC and I’m smile 😃 and Bates to. Please pray for my health issues and struggle. I will pray for you all Duggars and Bates and all others to need ones.

  14. I can't wait for the album to come out in stores. Hopefully I can buy a CD and DVD in the store or from your website without having to download it. Hope the album comes out soon. Natasha B.

  15. Can someone please tell me what the purpose of this family recording an album is? I see absolutely no reason to do so. Who is paying for this recording? A studio is not cheap. Sorry, Josie is a young girl but she is NOT a singer. I also noted that Michelle has lost her 'whispy baby voice" and CAN speak like an adult woman. She's not projecting herself genuinely all of these years with the way she speaks FOR THE CAMERA.

    1. I agree, love the Duggars but not everyone is a good singer and that’s fine. Unless you really can sing, I don’t think you should be making an album for money that people will buy just because you’re famous.

    2. Anon 7:03 I think it might be a Patriotic album where the children will all be singing those types of songs. I think it's a nice idea since a portion of our Country has become so anti God and Country to show people that a whole lot of us love America and God and feel blessed to be here. Plus the voices of children singing is always beautiful to hear.

    3. I love the Duggers and have to buy each season but to me it is worth it.Im very excited to see Michelle back on and love all of them....
I just don't understand why people make hateful comments,it says more negative stuff about them if they could see that.
All of us have good and bad in our lives,we all choose different paths in life.If I don't enjoy a show I just don't watch it
Love you all on or off the show and appreciate you sharing your life with me
God bless you all for you share how life is when God is a daily part of it Thank you for that

    4. Josie is obviously a cute little girl. I don't mean to be rude, but as both a mom and a teacher, it angers me when parents build their children up in an area that they lack the talent to do. Your child can't do anything "they set their mind to". They either have the natural talent/gifting or they do not. They may have the ability to learn the notes, rhythm, words, and breathing techniques- that doesn't equate to the ability to stay on pitch and correctly change keys. It's fine to encourage them to sing for family and close friends, but you are not loving them when you encourage them to record an album to promote to the public. "An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips."- Proverbs 24:26. It's a sin to falsely build your child up. Sooner or later, someone will tell them the truth (and usually pretty bluntly). It's a parent's responsibility to invest time learning where each child's individual talents lie and invest themselves in cultivating that child's unique talents. It bothers me that the Duggars have cut their children from the same mold (they all must play at least one instrument and sing). All 19 children cannot statistically be musically gifted and talented, but they've been made to learn the instruments and perform at countless functions. Maybe they're just so sheltered that everyone in their circles is too polite to be truthful. I feel sorry for Josie.

    5. Why do you care how much it costs or what the purpose is? None of anyone's business

    6. Such rudeness from people. All of those with negative comments are just jealous because their own lives are lacking. So sad.

      Delete
    7. If you feel such negativity towards this family then you need to stop watching and commenting.

    8. If you listened to the album, you'd see that the purpose of this CD is to minister. Michelle shares Bible verses and devotional thoughts to go along with the kids' songs, which are all Christian in nature (except The Star Spangled Banner at the end). It's a faith-based kids' CD.

  16. I'm sorry, Josie is a very sweet little girl and she is singing her little heart out but that is hard to listen to. Its a hard song for a professional to sing, let alone an eight year old, and Michelle looked like a stage mother in that clip, poor Josie!

    1. Not trying to be rude, but I do wonder how much mixing ("fixing") has been done on this album. Maybe my generation gap is showing, but talent is when you take the stage and sing it/play it and it doesn't need any electronic help or "cleaning up". Most recorded music these days is actually "born" on the studio soundboard and the singer sounds like a cheap copy onstage.

  17. For everyone complaining about not seeing Michelle or the little ones on the show any more, tonight's your big chance. So much for "Counting On is about the lives of the married kids!"

    1. I think might be a whole family project including some of the married adults.

    1. Not only that OP but tonight is the long-awaited season premiere of a great show on another network... I would imagine the ratings for that show will be sky high compared to the Duggars singing and waiting for a baby.

    2. As soon as I saw Amy and her mom, it all became clear who was behind it and why.

      Delete
    3. Was Amy there? I must not have been paying close attention. It makes sense that she and her mom would be there.

      Delete
    4. Amy had a very brief appearance, I recall thinking "Hey, isn't that Amy" and just as I finished that thought, the camera focused on someone else. So if Amy showed up hoping to boost her own star (like anon at 748AM implied), I don't think it worked.

Also, last I checked Amy has given up her music career and had a new job as an "activities director for Woodridge" that seems to be some kind of school or camp for high risk youth.

  23. I am excited to see some of the younger Duggars.
