Duggars and Swansons at AirVenture

For the Duggars, attending the annual EAA AirVenture aviation convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is a family tradition. We shared photos of their trip last year and the year before.

In 2016, Jim Bob and some of the boys were at the convention around the time that Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo announced their engagement. Funny that exactly two years later, they're celebrating the birth of their first child. (Visit yesterday's post to view new photos of Felicity Vuolo.)

This year, the event was attended by a large group of Duggars, including Jim Bob Duggar and a handful of the children and grandchildren. Lauren's father, Dwain Swanson, also attended with some of his kids.

    1. The Swanson family lived in Georgia until recently. They moved to Arkansas around the time Josiah and Lauren announced they were courting.

    2. Someone said they moved to Arkansas, but I don’t know if that’s true or not. They were in Georgia.

    3. I'm not sure where the Swanson's live. Dwain (Lauren's father) has a landscape business in Georgia but I guess he could run it from somewhere else.

    2. Ben was also an outsider. He saw Jessa on tv and asked his parents if they could all go to he church, which isn’t even in the same city as her. Kinda creepy in my opinion but every thing work out so...

    1. If you watched the show, you would know that Counting On does feature the whole family (minus Josh). They are moving out of the background more every season. Jim Bob and Michelle were prominent in Josiah's wedding preview episode.

    2. You mean the whole family minus Josh and now minus Derick and Jill, too. Other than that, Counting On is nothing more than 19KAC renamed. Did TLC think the viewers wouldn't notice the shift back to having everyone on the show again?

    3. I wouldn't be surprised if Jill is on screen every so often. She was in Joy's birth special after the Dillards officially left the show. Derick is the one decided that his family would leave the show. However, TLC only publicly cut ties with him in statement following his comments about Jazz. The statement said that it didn't have any plans to feature specifically him in the future, nothing about Jill or the kids. It leaves open to seeing glimpses of Jill and her boys similar to Anna and her children.

  11. Any idea of they are speaking in Wisconsin while they are here?

  12. I was there thinking I wonder if they are their. Not even knowing they had attended before. So bummed I didn’t get to meet them. I met Josh back when he had a talk at Purdue.

  13. Can anyone tell me how many children the Swansons have? From the picture it appears to be mostly younger children.
