Jinger at 30 Weeks

Time is passing quickly! Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo are due with their little girl in just 10 weeks. At 30 weeks, the baby weighs about three pounds and measures approximately 15 inches in length.

Meanwhile, Joe and Kendra Duggar are approaching the 35-week mark with their son. Due to arrive on Father's Day, he likely weighs in at around five pounds and measures somewhere around 18 inches.

  17. I'm glad for Jinger. It seems she's the only blood Duggar daughter who has pulled off the 'modest expecting' look. She has dressed so well during this time, her sisters need to take a few lessons from her.

    4. I agree. The only modest pregnancy girl.

    5. 1:34. It’s simple. Jinger has proven to be classy:).

      Delete
    6. The Modest Sisters (who wrote the book and spoke on the subject to paying audiences) shouldn't need modesty advice from anyone. They should understand it and adhere to it themselves, pregnant or not.

      Delete
    7. I agree with You! I especially thought Jessa wore extremely tight clothing, appeared very sensuous in pictures and brought attention to herself! Jinger will never have to worry about the internet because she has not posted sultry pictures. On the other hand,if I were Jessa, I woukd be concerned what my sons see some day.

Jinger has been a class act.

Seems like modesty does not matter with some if the Dugger girls if you are pregnant! Cannot show our arms but can wear skin tight tops and skirts?

Thank You Jinger for the wonderful example you are setting for young Christian Women and for our young, unmarried older daughters! I think you are our Kate Middleton. Grace, deportment and unique without legalistic hypocracy!

Cannot wait to see the beautiful, baby girl, your gift from God!

      Delete
    8. While I agree it is rude to make unsolicited comments about another's looks or clothes, the Duggars have asked for interest in their appearance and fashion choices. How many videos have the girls made on hair tutorials, fashion tutorials, and highlighting countless shopping trips on their show? The interest in their attire and looks is very much solicited.

      Delete
    9. 2:13. I completely agree. From the very few pictures of Kendra she seems to be dressing classy as well. Hopefully Jill, Jessa, and Joy will follow next time around.

  24. Let’s hope Jinger is wise and has a hospital delivery. I’m really hoping Jeremy isn’t into the home-birth-dash-to-the-hospital for ratings scenario. And before everyone starts touting the safety of home-birth the Duggars have more than proven it is clearly not true. It has been the life saving skills of qualified, educated, and skilled medical teams who have brought about happy endings.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 4:54, they have used CPMs not CNMs and there is a BIG difference. CNMs have gone through the same training as nurses, CPMs have not. Also, all of Anna’s births went fine, as did Jessa’s second. Also, I personally wouldn’t try for a home birth with my first baby if I knew it was going to be ten lbs! And I doubt the Duggar girls purposefully try to endanger themselves for ratings!

      Delete
    2. Yes, yes, and yes to this!!

      Delete
    3. As opposed to the hospital-birth-dash-to-the-hospital. :)

      Delete
    4. 4:54. I agree 100% with this. I’m hoping Jinger’s Mother-in-Law will be a voice of wisdom as well. One can only hope Jinger does not risk her child’s life for a dramatic storyline.

      Delete
    5. I agree. But I also find it very, very strange that three young healthy girls (Jill, Jessa and Joy) all had issues at childbirth. It is a natural process. Look at Kate Middleton -- came to hospital, gave birth, in several hours walked out with the baby. How come all three sisters (except for Henry delivery) had problems? Are they eating a lot and feeding their babies so they grow too much, and therefore a delivery is difficult? Like, Israel was breach and Jill had a C-section since they could not turn him; Spurgeon cost Jessa a blood transfusion; Sam stayed in NICU for 2 weeks and it was second C-section for Jill; Joy, just 20 years old, had a 10 lbs baby via c-section...

      Delete
    6. 9:36; I’m not following your thought process. If you are at the hospital how do you dash to the hospital?

      Delete
    7. 9:15. Thank you for clarifying. So a CNM has had to have extensive training in an accredited college I’m assuming? That would make a huge difference. I don’t think Jill even has her GED.

      Delete
    8. 4:12 Eating healthy causes a baby to be bigger. Eating unhealthy causes the mom to be bigger, but the baby to still be small. The Duggars ate healthy but had big babies. There could be a lot of reasons for that not involving food.

      Delete
    9. 9:15. I appreciate the clarification. I understand some home deliveries are perfectly safe. The Duggar girls, however, have all had emergency situations due to inept care. I do believe they do these things for tv ratings. The “any attention is better than no attention” mindset. I’m hoping Jinger breaks the cycle and puts her and her daughters safety above tv crews and People Magazine “my traumatic birth” cover story.

      Delete
    10. 8:44 - Those birth stories where people are driving over the speed limit to get the mom to the hospital on time. Usually done on TV, but also happens in real life sometimes. Sometimes despite the rushing, the baby is born on the side of the road in the car. Heard of it happening in real life, seen it in movies. Does that make it clear for you?

      Delete
    11. 10:47, big babies don't always come from eating healthy. Many women naturally gestate larger babies and others birth smaller ones, it's genetics.
Women with untreated gestational diabetes have large babies. Babies who are weigh less are not always the product of unhealthy eating and many are born healthier than a 10+ pounder.
Jessa ate healthier with her second pregnancy than she did during her first and Henry was a full pound lighter at birth than Spurgeon.

      Delete
    12. Babies did not weigh 10+ pounds “back in the day” when Dr’s told expectant Mother’s not to gain more than 20 pounds.. We never heard of women gaining 40,50 60+ pounds. It just wasn’t done. A wise older woman told me (a few decades ago when I was pregnant with my first) all the extra calories required was an apple and extra glass of milk. As with anything in life healthy eating and good exercise (as long as there are no high risks involved) is good for Mom and Baby.

  25. Will Jinger be traveling to Arkansas so Jill can deliver her baby?

    ReplyDelete

    1. not being funny i really hope not

      Delete
    2. First of all, why would JINGER travel instalead of Jill? That’s just dumb, secondly, Jill is not a real midwife, she is a CPM.

      Delete
    3. No Jill is not a doctor. Jinger should ga to the hospital. I think Jermey has made that disission

      Delete
    4. I doubt it. I can see Jeremy and Jinger being smart and going to a hospital or at the very least a birthing center for their child’s birth. Home births are safe only when you have a real midwife there, not a counterfeit midwife. There’s a big difference between a certified nurse midwife and a counterfeit professional midwife.

      Delete
    5. I certainly hope not. I hope Jeremy steps up and takes her to the hospital to deliver.

      Delete
    6. The typos and auto correct errors make for amusing reading sometimes. At least "Jermey" didn't make a "dissection"! :)

      Delete
    7. Who was the one who said she was scared of giving birth and was going to go straight to a hospital? Was that Joy? But then they had her labor at home... Or was it Jinger?

      Delete
    8. 7:10, I totally agree, these girls are giving midwives terrible names by using CPMs instead of CNMs. I don’t understand why the US even allows CPMs!

      Delete
    9. 5:56 - I can picture Jinger saying that. I remember her being at someone's birth (one of Anna's babies, maybe?) and just seeming really unnerved by the whole thing.

    1. Hopefully she’ll be a week or two early, still completely safe for the baby, and should make delivery a little easier since the baby would be a few pounds lighter

      Delete
    2. You shouldn’t hope a baby is early. Lungs and organs need that time inutero for a reason.

      Delete
    3. 10:48, babies lungs are fully developed at 36 weeks, so being born at 38 or 39 weeks wouldn’t hurt them. Having a baby 2 weeks early is actually fairly common

      Delete
    4. My mom delivered at 38 weeks almost every time. We are all healthy and there were no problems. Delivering at 38 weeks is normal.

      Delete
    5. Pregnancy is calculated for 40 weeks (from your first day of your last period) because there is a very good chance the baby comes +/- 14 days from this day. It is just an average duration. 38 weeks is considered full term.

    2. Sophia or Francesca are two lovely italian names that work well with Vuolo just sayin!

      Delete
    3. I hope they don’t name their son Joseph Jr.
I personally would name my second son after my spouse, not the first. It seems self-centered to do that. (Unless he’s the 3rd, like for example William David III). Just my opinion though.
And I have a feeling Jinger and Jeremy will name their daughter either something biblical, Italian, or possibly after his Mom or grandmother.
Well just have to wait and see. Not far away!๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’˜

    4. 8:22, I’m confused, if naming your first son after your spouse is self centered, how is naming your second child after them not? That makes no sense.

  37. Jinger made a comment about being fat and when Jill was pregnant she made a comment about "eating too much". It seems as if your young ladies are taught too much that their looks are of major importance. Do you teach the boys the same? Women, fat or thin, are beloved by God just as much.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 9:52, I don’t recall Jinger ever calling herself fat, unless you are referring to her potbelly post that was meant to be funny. Also if Jill was over eating during pregnancy that could have accounted for Israel weighing almost 10 pounds. They give you a number of calories to consume each day for a reason!

    2. They are being good role models. Being obese has serious health consequences. God and family love you, but if you are obese, you are not respecting the body God has given you. Meant to be encouraging, not mean. Healthy body = healthy mind.

      Delete
    3. I am not the average weight...I am a little over, but I still find your comment to be very derogatory towards over weight people. 12:54

      Delete
    4. @6:19. A baby takes only what he or she needs.Overeating during pregnancy does not mean the baby will be large, unless the mother has diabetes. It only means that the mother has more to loose after the birth and could have problems giving birth.

      Delete
    5. 9:46, not true, if you over eat or eat unhealthily during your pregnancy it can effect your babies weight and or health.

      Delete
    6. 8:49, 12:54 said OBESE, not slightly overweight, there’s a difference. And if you are obese you do need to change your lifestyle, otherwise you’ll most likely end up with diabetes, heart problems, etc. and all that affects not only you, but your family members; I know, my grandfather has some serious health issues right now because of this and the pain that he has self inflicted on himself also hurts those closest to him.

      Delete
    7. @1:30. Old wives tale designed to denigrate women who have bigger than average sized babies or smaller than average sized babies. Ever heard of genetics. Get, must had stuff yourself because your baby was over 9 lbs. In my family, we are all of average weight or not on the slim side and active. The smallest baby was 8 lbs and that was because the child was 2 weeks early. Every other baby was over 9 lbs.

Of course, if a woman has uncontrolled diabetes due to her weight or develops gestation diabetes (not caused by weight),she can have a large baby. But if her insulin levels are controlled, the baby will be o.k.

Baby size is determined by more than just how much or how little a women eats.

    1. You can’t really compare with Alyssa since she has a completely different body type than the Duggar girls do, and Jinger seems about on track, not nearly as big as Jill was when she was 30 weeks pregnant with Israel!

    4. Anon at 9PM: Good point! However I think many people following the Duggars assume they operate on an ultra patriarchal "the wife does whatever the husband wants without question, as if she is a little girl obeying her father" model, and assume that the wives are all just obeying their husbands out of duty, as opposed to choosing to please them out of love. A similar assumption seems to underlie the "poor Jana forced to live at home unless she marries" comments.

  42. Jinger looks like a modern woman here. Jill can do tattoos, nose rings, but she still does not look as good as Jinger. Jessa is pretty, but her hair are so old style.

And why does our society think that just when a person is beautiful then they are a true Christian? God made us all, not so beautiful and beautiful. so our looks doesn't matter to Him, it's our heart connection to Him that ultimately matters over beauty.

      Delete
    4. I don't understand the fixation over whether Jinger is wearing makeup or not. If she is, it is subtle and within her right to wear. Wearing makeup isn't tricking anyone or masking anything. It's not like you put it on and suddenly you have an entirely new face (or at least the amount she has on).
Jinger is beautiful because she has a kind soul. I think the original poster was saying her internal beauty is shining through.
