More On 'The 5 Day Adoption'

For those who missed Monday's post about The 5 Day Adoption, a new documentary about Todd and Barbara McCoskey's prayerful journey of welcoming baby Christina into their family, we have more information to share, courtesy of the filmmaker.

How does this relate to the Duggars? A network of Christians around the country, including Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their family, came alongside the McCoskeys to make this adoption possible.

The 5 Day Adoption is available for rent or purchase through Vimeo On Demand. Visit 5dayadoption.com to order the documentary on Blu-Ray or to pre-order on DVD (to be released December 21st).

  1. Everyone wants to adopt babies, but there are many older children in foster care that need to be adopted. If you are willing to adopt an older child (four years plus) or a sibling group then the adopt time is much shorter. More then five days, but shorter then a newborn baby adoption.

  2. I don't understand why this adoption story about a completely unknown family is being emphasized here. Especially at a time when the "Counting On" special is airing and we are learning of the damage Josh has caused within his own family. Josh's actions are terrible. Let's let that sink in and let's learn some lessons here. It's not the time to try to distract folks with a story about an unknown family. Let this adoptive family tell their own story in their own way without a connection to the Duggars.

  3. Why does everyone feel the need to tell their story so publicly any way? We all have a story to tell. I personally have been through the loss of 3 children, given birth, adopted endured very long seperations in my marriage because of my husbands military career etc. It is the Lord who has seen us through all of it, but I'm certainly not trying to get a TV show to make money from it. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 states " And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we command you." The Duggar family does the exact opposite pursuing any avenue to stay in the spotlight--now filming about adoption--something they have no personal experience with. Why??

  4. I find it ironic that the most judgmental comments on this entire site are left by those who choose to remain Anonymous!! I support the Duggars and say it loud and proud!!!
