  1. They have been parents for five minutes. Honestly. Why is TLC and People interviewing them on such topics? I don't think it makes them look very good.

  8. I love Derick's articulation of his love for Israel and being a father. His Mom was spot on with her comment to him and how beautiful that he is now appreciating his Mom's words!

  9. I love Jill and Derick and am so happy for them with the birth of their baby, but I'm ready to hear about some of the other older kids!! What are Jana and Jinger doing these days? How was Joseph's first semester at college, away from home? Etc.

  10. Finally the baby is not swaddled! I have an impression that Jill is still shocked by having a c-section and the recovery. If she never had major operation, this could be a big shock to her body.

  11. Derick is clearly in love with Israel! He is always holding him and he has a glow about him. Jill actually seems a little detached though. I'm not trying to be mean, but it seems she sees Israel as a cure boy baby and Derick is clearly in love with raising him as a special son. He seems more comfortable with Israel too. Idk. I hope Jill isn't struggling with postpartum... I will keep her in my prayers.

  12. I wish Jill and Derrick much luck with Baby Israel. They seem like great parents. But for advice on a birth plan, they should listen to Kelly Bates, and how she so compassionately counseled dear Whitney Bates to go to Hospital and have an Epidural- as it turned out she was also carrying a very large baby and was a couple of days Late. This helped her avoid an emergency C- Section and avoided also weeks of overdue and stress on Uterus and baby. I was not appreciating how we have seen Anna's excruciating labored and delivery on a toilet, and Jill's 70 hour labor, 2 week overdue, C- Section. The Bates way seems like a really compassionate way for both mom and baby.

  14. Kelly Bates had 14 home births. They aren't that different.

  15. I wonder why women become more beautiful during/after pregnancy.Jill/Jessa get prettier every day. If I could tell God what mommy I want to be mine, I would have him choose a Duggar/Bates mommy :-) Can you imagine all the love and care a baby receives from all those folks O:-)

  16. I absolutely love babies, especially blonde ones!! And if I love babies this much as a preteen, I can only imagine what it's like to have a baby of your own. The duggar family is a wonderful one and I want to grow up and be just as modest, religious, and humble as these people are!!

  17. I love the Duggar girls. How mature and responsible they always were. They had a wonderful role models, their grandmother and Mom. May they grow in the Lord and may the Lord continue to bless them and the families that they have and may have.
