  1. Please-something is wrong with TLC and their timing. It's already been out for awhile that Anna is having a girl. Somehow the show, TLC and this blog needs to co-ordinate their timing. I will watch however.

    1. That is because the news comes out in the media before the show. It takes a long time to produce and edit television shows. So when a new season comes out, it was filmed about six months ago. The same is true with every show on television.

    2. The show is about 3 months behind. Whereas this blog is up to date with all the Duggar news! :)

It's just the way tv works as they have to edit the footage and make sure it's approved by the family etc. then get a time slot on the tv to show it!

    4. Some people just watch the show and don't follow social media, it's a given that most reality shows are behind, that the name of the game.

  4. When their lives are changing as much and as quickly as they are there is no way the show could keep up. There are 3 choices. Follow only the show, Follow only social media, or Follow both and you won't be surprised sometimes.

  5. Obviously the show will be behind actual timing. They need to film, edit, etc.
This blog is very current and keeps the fans updated on all of the exciting.
If anyone is so concerned about 'spoiler alerts' than they should simply stay off of this blog.
Yes, not everything will be a surprise when it airs but... the gender reveal party will be great fun to watch!
Thanks for the blog. It gives us a lot of 'extra' things that we do not see on TV.

  6. A 2-hour special to tell us Anna is having a girl, something we found out a month ago? How silly!

  7. @Anonymous

They know it's been out, People magazine is one of the top magazines and the only one that exclusively gives news for the Duggars. However, everyone DOES want to see the details of how they found out, when they announced it to the family, the gender reveal and such.

By the way, each season that comes out, already happened up to six months before filmed so if you want to be technical, all episodes are behind. :)

TLC wouldn't make such an obvious "mistake" if they did one.

  12. For anonymous 1 - - TV shows don't keep up with reality- - they drag it out to have something to make a show.

  13. Will you do a recap of both episodes?

  14. Nothing is wrong with TLC . I can't imagine how much work goes into producing a reality TV show. I know they get lots of footage so they have to edit it to fit a certain time frame! This blog is awesome!!!! It is run by two ladies, who give of their time, time that could be spent with their families to make sure the fans of the Duggars have the most accurate information, they post stuff as it happens and stuff that will be on TV that night. Their recount of the show makes you feel as if you had watched it yourself. I'm very thankful for these ladies

  16. Just watched tonight's gender reveal ( albeit too late-we already know) but having said that it was a great show. Two kids really shine-Mackenzie and Jordyn ( priceless) Nice to watch everyone helping and we really made it through without it not being about Jill and Derek.

  17. Did anyone else find this week's episode as hilarious as I did? I nearly fell off my chair laughing at the blue flamingos and John and Sierra's priceless reactions to the boys' innovative solution for painting 100 flamingos. Then, John's comment about not setting them up like they're in the military made me chuckle. It's fun just to watch a family having fun.

  20. I love your family. God bless you all. On my bucket list, is to meet Josie. I really made her a matter of prayer since she's been born. I prayed for you all but especially Michelle and Josie during the hard time. I think I lost pounds in tears that were shed. And Jim Bob, during that time I too almost died. I was in complete renal failure and went from the hospital to rehab for 6 months and I just got home. Was watching and Jim Bob said, "We praise God in the good times and we need to trust and praise Him in the hard times " (May not be word for word but I certainly got the point he was making.) I am a prayer warrior and decided to make a prayer corner for the Duggar family at that time. I know your names by heart and I even have a suggestion for Anna for her next baby. How about Marilyn Angelina or Mary Elizabeth? those are beautiful names :) Now when I read Michelle had a eating disorder I really connect and am so happy that she is sharing with young people. May I suggest you start a nutritional endeavor for young people. I am the result of eating disorders that are NOT addressed. Don't wish it on anyone. It is the worse addiction there is because, if you take drugs, you don't ever need to take them again. If you are an alcoholic you stay away from alcohol. But you have to eat. And you can even binge on "good" food. It is an uphill battle. Not making excuses, just stating facts. I am doing much better but I would be wrong if I did not state the facts. the only way to do it is weigh and measure at all costs. Please pray for me?
